The Falcons put in a waiver request for quarterback Nathan Rourke, but he was awarded to the New York Giants. This suggests that Tyler Heineke will not be back with the Falcons. The team may only keep two quarterbacks unless they sign an undrafted free agent. Rumors suggest that the Falcons are still looking to bring back Clayus Campbell and Vic Beasley. Kirk Cousins left the Vikings because they were planning to draft his successor. The NFL schedule for the upcoming season will be released on May 15th. The Falcons may have a home game to start the season due to the new schedule format. Some interesting games to watch include Washington, Pittsburgh, and Dallas. The Falcons may have three prime time games. What's up, everybody? It's your boy J Back at it again hallway conversations with the masses getting ready to Give you guys some info Breaking news, of course from the Falcons as well. It's gonna go over a few things Related to the Falcons and NFL related for those that are new to the cast Welcome we thank you for tuning in but let's get to it first starting off with the breaking news The Falcons who just signed Kirk Cousins They put in a waiver request for former quarterback from the Jags By the young young man's name is Nathan Rourke He actually ended up being awarded to the New York Giants, however, so Wouldn't read too much into this probably just a camp body, but this does spell that more than likely Tyler Heineke will Taylor Heineke. I'm sorry will not be back with the Falcons even though taking the pay cut I don't see them keeping this young man, especially when you have Michael Pennix jr. That just got drafted Falcons more than likely. I'll just roll with two quarterbacks into the season Unless they think that having a third quarterback as an emergency situation is needed, but I think that that will come from Untrafficked free agent that we just picked up Honestly think you know To not waste the roster spot. They'll just have it to where They cut ties and get some cap space back Reason I say this is because like I said, I really think Atlanta's not done Along the defensive line rumors are they are still looking at trying to bring but the pre-back in some sort of capacity don't also be shocked if you don't hear Calais Campbell being brought back as well because Neither have officially retired Calais Campbell, of course will be closer to 40 this season, but don't be shocked if you see Atlanta go after getting Calais Campbell back on this team At some point but again, that's the breaking news Nathan Rourke supposed to be signed by the Falcons Well, actually not signed but claimed but because I guess the waiver order the New York Giants were awarded the young man It'll be interesting like I said to see how the quarterback situation shakes out in Atlanta because rumors also were The reason Kirk Cousins wanted to leave Minnesota was that they were planning on drafting his successor at some point I get it. But at the same time you don't leave just because You have competition And Kurt's no stranger to this because if people remember He had to battle with RG3 early on in his career Even though RG3 was the de facto starter to start and injuries eventually hurt him Kurt didn't just come into the league starting initially, so We'll see how this pans out I still say I give it the two years Kirk Cousins will be the starter and then by year three Since the Falcons actually have an out on the contract. I do believe you will see Michael panics jr. Taking over in year three And the main reason I think you'll see it by at least year three is because Arthur Blank Has endorsed this pick as well. He came out and said, you know he's on board with the succession plan because If anybody remembers when we had Matt Ryan no succession plan And you ended up getting guys like Marcus Mariota They felt getting a Desmond Ritter in the third round would benefit the team But in fact, it did more damage than good because you were stuck at quarterback for at least three years and Not saying that, you know Marcus or a Desmond played completely bad football because they weren't completely terrible However, there were so many games that were winnable Between their play and play calling that had it to where the Falcons just looked it incompetent that's why I'm encouraged by Zach Robinson coming in Raheem Morris being back in the fold because like I said Raheem before he was Not given the title of head coach when he took over for Dan Quinn a few years back it was stated that he told them look you guys need to have a succession plan because Matt's getting older and by God, he wasn't wrong because The Falcons for a few years definitely suffered from that so Again I'm not saying that Kirk Cousins if the rumors are true that far as Kirk was upset about it I do believe the Falcons should have been on the up and up with them But I'm also under the impression look you just got a hundred million dollars Guaranteed from most of your contract at least the first two years So at 50 million dollars for first two years I would not be complaining about any kind of money that I'm getting from any kind of franchise. I mean You can give me ten and I'll just sit on the bench with my head Hell, you really don't even have to give me ten you can give me One to two million dollars. I'll sit on the sidelines with my clipboard and call it a day but Again, when you're used to being a guy that gets that kind of money guarantee these times He is now the guy with the most guaranteed money in NFL history Now it's time to produce for Kirk Cousins. He has one playoff win in exactly his Ten plus years in the NFL. So now it's time to produce if he can't Was it a bad move for the Falcons in hindsight? We could say so, but I still think you had to get a succession plan for him in place because We Did it before and trying to have Ritter? Now, like I said having a Desmond Ritter and a Taylor Heinecke for a second year Was not going to be beneficial for this team's future long term not to mention Kurt running his mouth saying that you know Oh, yeah, I talked to the people at the Falcons facility beforehand may cost us draft picks so You know, like I said They take a quarterback this year might have been in the Falcons best interest because no one knows What the future may hold in that situation? so in other news the NFL has told all team owners that the Football schedule for this next coming season will be released on The 15th of May which I believe is a Wednesday The only game that I have seen confirmed Because it's been multiple rumors out there about when this game will actually be played Kansas City is Rumored to be opening against the Texans in week one. So we'll see if that holds true but Right now as it says it will be Kansas City versus Houston week one So that'll be your opening game Game, I'm interested in really seeing to start the year for us Who we have so many Normally the Falcons don't go on don't have a home game to start the year But because we have so many at home this season Due to the new schedule format, I believe Atlanta will either be on the road to start at a team like a Minnesota or a Washington Or if you get an early home game, it may be Seattle or New York So we'll see How that goes I do know The two games I'm most interested in seeing will be Washington when we go up there to take on Dan Quinn former head coach for the Falcons and I definitely Lord forgive me for saying this with my best friend, but I really want to see us take it to the Pittsburgh Steelers especially since Arthur Smith is now up in Pittsburgh so Those two games definitely want to see those the other one that everybody is saying should be interesting Will be when we play Dallas, Kansas City, of course Going to Philly hopefully that's an earlier game in the year because going up there in the brutal cold will not be great Also Denver going up to Denver early would be a great fit But other than that, I mean the schedule is not too overly powerful a lot of these games you guys we play indoors Because they'll be at our house like the only three games outdoors that I see Depending on how they schedule them may hurt would be Washington Philadelphia and Denver everything else is in a domed or semi-warm climate so We'll see how the schedule gods give us, you know our schedule going in last year We did open at home very first game. So who knows they may give us that opening week schedule. I Do know for some interest is Some of the Viking fans are definitely gonna be More than happy to hope we lose to them when we go back up to Minnesota Looking at the prime time potential for Atlanta, even though we weren't in a lot of prime time games last year I do feel Atlanta may get and this is just me If I had to be a betting man The Minnesota game looks like it could be prime time Maybe the Dallas game depending on you know, how that one shakes out Kansas City may be a prime target, but I Think we at least get three Like I said because they're predicting us to win the division. I give Atlanta at least three prime time games out of the South the only team that probably may not get but one if that is The Carolina Panthers Carolina and Tampa will probably get the Carolina and Tampa will probably get the fewest for some reason the NFL values New Orleans a lot don't know why but I see Atlanta and New Orleans getting the most out of the NFC South because of how They're gonna predict that division. So We'll see like I said how This shakes out but schedule release again is supposed to be coming out on the 15th For those of you that don't follow Twitter mostly there are guys out there that put up Put up, you know predicted weeks and how they'll go So Let's see Like I said, I do know the one that I'm seeing currently Is gonna be Texas and Kansas City for that first game So let's kind of look I'm looking at Twitter now To kind of get an idea of how the schedules may play out So According to what they're saying for the international schedule release The Vikings are more than likely to get Arizona Houston or the Jets Cleveland New England or the Jets will be for the Jags, you know, the Jags normally have Their yearly go overseas. The Panthers are overseas next year. So they're predicting either, Arizona Cincinnati or the New York Giants now The prediction dates for these games, of course week one. It'll be the Packers Eagles in Brazil Week five they're predicting the Vikings at Tottenham week six will be the Bears at Tottenham Which they're saying week six is guarantee a bit be a Bears and Jags So we'll see if that one pans out week seven Jaguars will still be there So see the Jaguars normally when they go over there London and I hate that the NFL is allowing this They get two back-to-back games in London So if a team is traveling from the US to play them It kind of gives them an advantage in those two weeks The Panthers are supposed to be playing in Germany. So they'll be in Germany on the November the 10th, so I'm not sure If it'll be Oh So they're saying Germany with the Panthers might be Giants and Panthers, so we'll see If that goes like I said, these are just all speculations and rumors right now for these games but Some of the like I said some of the games that the schedule release people are saying they're looking forward to Ravens and Chargers Chiefs at 49ers Rams and Lions Bills Texans The Bills Texas is predicted to be second week. So that's probably gonna be a Sunday night game Stillers at Broncos Falcons and Vikings as I said Then of course, like I said the one game that I'm really looking forward to seeing is I Really want to see how they set up I Really want to see how they set up Caleb Williams his very first game. So this is what I'm reading And this is just like I said some that's what makes sense for some of these matchups Somebody put together this schedule showdown we're gonna see cuz normally this is almost about accurate for the schedule release So week one, of course, I've already said Kansas City Texans It'll be Miami and New England Pittsburgh and Cincinnati Atlanta if they if this does hold true would travel to Minnesota, which would be a great Monday night great Sunday night or Monday matchup for that very first week So I could see us getting a primetime game out the gate either that Sunday night or You see us play Actually, it'd probably be a better Monday night game cuz Sunday night they normally try to go for the game That's gonna give the most gusto out of these games That I see that may give the most gusto I'm gonna say it's gonna be Ravens Chargers if that if this is what I'm looking at. So they got Ravens Chargers Jets 49ers Raiders and Saints Bills and Seahawks Cowboys Browns Rams and Cardinals Bucks at Giants Panthers at Commanders Lions and Bears and then yeah, so That actually will be interesting to see how that pans out But moving on to a different subject cover the football Watching My Braves yesterday got back into the win column so I am proud of them. They're Hopefully the Braves can Write the ship with pitching because sometimes the pitching has looked off other times it has been the hitting Here recently it has been the hitting so we'll see how that goes But shout out to the Georgia boy my guy Cuz I I hadn't really been watching the NFL that may NBA playoffs since My guys are out anybody that knows me I'm a Georgia fan for everything Georgia Bulldogs Hawks Falcons Atlanta dream you name it Falcons I Like them all but the Hawks, of course did not make it in after getting ousted in the play-in tournament, so Team I'm picking to probably go all the way just looking at how they played I didn't watch them the first round but seeing how they're doing the defending champions I think that the Timberwolves are the team to watch I Say even if OKC somehow gets to them I Don't think anybody can stop Anthony Edwards right now. That kid is playing outstanding basketball and Just looking at what he's doing for Minnesota I already said it before this series started Aaron Gordon cannot guard Carl Anthony Towns. I don't care what anybody says that's not gonna work and then go bear and Jokic cancel each other out being a big guy, but the thing that's been the shocker hasn't even been that It's been Minnesota's ability to shut Jamal Murray down. So that has been the key To this series and I mean say what you will or what you want about This team, but I mean Denver is not a pushover. So for me to see them Getting beat the way they are It's actually pretty interesting but I'm like I said, I'm picking Timberwolves and I'm gonna say Boston makes it out of the East, but don't be shocked if somehow The New York Knicks pull it out of the East. It's just something about Jalen Brunson right now That has me thinking he's playing inspired ball and that he can actually do some stuff To break the hearts of the Boston faithful Like I said, that's not me trying to you know, put him over the top and say he's a Outstanding player but the ball that that kid has been playing this year has looked Outstanding so With that you guys that is it that is the rundown of everything Atlanta and and everything sports related right now For those of you that don't know how you can find me.
