The speaker begins by praising God and declaring his supremacy. He expresses gratitude for his life, salvation, and ministry. The purpose of the meeting is to bring change, transformation, and direction. The speaker acknowledges the importance of the ministry and family, stating that both are necessary for a fruitful life. He shares his own journey in the ministry, emphasizing the need for both the content and container to be new. He talks about the challenges he faced in the early years and how God has blessed him since then. The speaker encourages the audience to embrace the new side of life and adapt to the changing times. He highlights the importance of valuing the new and letting go of outdated methods. Glory be to God. Glory be to God. Glory be to God. Glory be to God. Glory be to God. Glory be to God. Glory be to God. Glory be to God. Glory be to God. Glory be to God. Glory be to God. Father, we worship you tonight. We adore and we magnify your name. We declare your excellency. We declare your supremacy. We declare you are the God above all gods. Thank you for who you are. Thank you for who you will continue to be. We are grateful for our lives, for saving us, for allowing us to know you. We thank you for the ministry you have given to all of us. Thank you for your call upon us. Thank you for our families who give you all the glory. Lord, this meeting is used to bring a change, a transformation, an increase, an enlargement that will stand the test of time. The people we see and we know will just have an encounter with you. That this meeting will refresh us, rebrand our families, and give a ministry direction. At the end of it all, glory will be given to you. Blessings will be our portion. In Jesus' name, I pray. Praise the Lord. Good evening, sirs and ma'ams. God bless you. It's a privilege to be in your midst. Please be seated. I want to give thanks to God tonight for this privilege to be in your midst. And I want to appreciate the set man in Youth Province 8. He has been my friend, he has been my brother, and he is the Lord's wife. God bless you, sir. On behalf of my wife, I say thank you for this privilege. And I want to appreciate my other friend, the APICP admin. And he says how in absentia and their wives. God bless you, sir. The Lord will increase you. I believe what changes my territory, it will always be our territory. And I know a lot of us that are here, I look at a few of you, if not all. And I want to thank God that there are two major things that are very important in life. And like our pastor said, the ministry and the family. God is at the center of it all. So those three things are very key. I just said two because I know without God, the two cannot stand. And so one of my mentors used to say, my God, my ministry, and my family. He said, if ever that thing tear apart in our society, if people are not working the way they should work, there are three things we hold on to, my God, my family, and my ministry. The ministry is very important that you can't do away with it. You can't just throw it to the dustbin. And your family is very key in achieving that ministry. A man without good family, even if you have the greatest calling, the calling will still be rubbished. And that's why you need to hold on very well to those things. I believe the new calendar year of RCCG, starting from September 1, will bring us something good and great things in our lives in the name of Jesus. Tonight, we've been asked, I and my wife, we've been asked to speak on new wine for leadership excellence, leading together. New wine for leadership excellence, leading together. And I will take a few words and take the first part, and she will continue from wherever I start. In Matthew 9, verse 17, Matthew 9, verse 17, Jesus was speaking to the disciples, was speaking to the people, and they heard him. And he says, Neither do men put new wine in old bottles, as the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish. But they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved. If you understand that scripture very well, you will know that both the bottle and the wine, they are important. We are referring to the subject of the content and the container. It is very important for every one of us to understand that aspect of life, that both the container and the content are very important. Jesus was speaking the fact that if the content is old, if the container is old, you cannot come and bring in a new content into it. I will talk more on that as I continue. I came into the full-time ministry in the year 1995. Precisely about 28 years plus now, I have been in the full-time ministry. I was talking with our leaders in the evening when we came in. When we came into the full-time ministry, I think I was around 22 or 23 or so. I worked briefly for one year in one company in Lagos before I came into the full-time ministry. And like the pastors know, you will remember, last year was our 50th birthday. So if you take 22 out of 50, what do you have? So 22 will be in the full-time ministry. When we came in, it was not lucrative at all, because the first encounter I had with Father Laurie 101 in his office, for the fact that asking us how much are we going to receive as salary. And when I mentioned it, somebody said 1,000. Another one said 1,500. Another one said 2,000. Father Laurie said in his words, In other words, you children, your mouth is already big. We are in Ned Dam, because we are on Ned Dam. And I said, we can't even get 1,000 for working for one month. I wasn't married. I was asking myself, how am I going to get married? How am I going to build a house? How will I buy a car? Because I don't have any at that time. And I said I won't stay here. So I left that office. I went to another ministry where they will give me 1,000. They gave me accommodation. They are paying me 1,000 and free food. When I want to go out on evangelism, they will say give me money. So I retained my 1,000. For that month that I went there, for the month of May in 1995, I was in that organization in Lagos. And after they paid me the first salary of 1,000, I heard the voice of God saying to me, go back to where I planted you. And the same day, somebody called, I don't know how we get to connect each other, but I was talking on the phone then. And said, RCCG has given out a letter. Okay, I think I left the place. I came to camp. And they said the letter of transfer, or sorry, appointment and posting. So they put me to Abelkuta. I took the letter. I was going to resume September 1. I resumed September 9. Because I was in one ministry. So I came back to RCCG after one month. And we are still here today. It was after then that we got married. The moment, I'm talking about the ministry now. The ministry was so sweet. And it was after then, 1996, that I got married. About a year plus, I got married. And since then, from one glory to another glory. And tomorrow we'll be talking more on the aspect of the marriage, how it affected our ministry to be where it is today. I've heard people saying a couple of times that I look so young, and to become, because at 38, I became the PICP of Ondoprovince II. And they wondered how come I became PICP at the age of 38. And I just say, it's God. When you are called, you are called. So you must understand the aspect of the call very well. Now, you don't just find your way to the ministry to become a part of the people. You need to understand that you have a ministry you want to fulfill. Today, a lot of people are in ministry just because of what they are going to eat and how to survive. As a result of looking for a job, they couldn't find one. But for a few of us who understood the call of God over our lives, have been in it for 28 years, have never known God to fail. And God has been faithful. So you must understand the aspect of that call, which we call for leadership. You lead well, God will bless you in return. And it's not about money. We ended up collecting 614 Naira. I read the letter. 614 Naira was our salary in 1995. It became 1,005 in 1996, or thereabout 1997. Thereabout, it became 1,005. And it was then I got married. And we continue to today. And that was so interesting. There was one soap they called New Power. Do you know that soap? Anyone? They call it New Power. If you see the wrapper, you know it's New Power. You just wrap it with something and put it in one container. And then that's what we used to bake then. Because we don't have the plenty of money to buy two of each, one month. I told my wife, if you finish your own, you will bathe with ordinary water. Because these two, there's no other budget for Ezra. So you bathe with soap in the morning, you wash your body with water in the evening. Whatever how sticky your body may look like, you finish your soap, that is the end. So we have to have rules and all the rest. And sometimes, if you don't know where a man is coming from, when you see him somewhere today, you will wonder how did he get there. We went through a time that is not comfortable. And today, God has changed the story. Life has two sides. That is why life is a vacuum. It has two sides. We've been able to see the other side and this other side, by the grace of God. The two sides of life are very important. Because without one side, we will not appreciate the other side. And that's the essence of the story I just narrated to you. Most times, people prefer to stay and operate at the side they know, and the side they are conversant with. Because they believe it is still the best for them. Until they try the other side. And then they will understand better that there is a better side to life. And that's why Jesus said in chapter 4, the book of Matthew, verse 35, Matthew 4, verse 35, Jesus said, And the same day when the evening was come, he said unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. The side of the old is the side of the new. That's what I'm trying to let you understand tonight. The old naturally will bat the new. Because if you don't see the old, you will not be thinking of the new. It is the old that bats the new. And that's why the two of them must be appreciated. But more importantly, we must play value on the new. That will deliver to us the things we need to do. Now, in the ministry, my brethren, there is no way you can keep operating with what you are used to years ago. For example, I just told you of 1995 when I came into the ministry. In 1995, there are things then that are very okay, fascinating, and are working. But today, there are no more. There are no more. That's because of several reasons, which we will discuss as we continue. The old is very important, but the new is more important. Now, if you look at LCCG, for example, realize that in that 1995, the church we only have, and they named them by town or by street. I think I'm right, sir. They named them either by town, where they are situated, or the street, where they operate from. The one where I got born again in 1990, when I joined this church, December 31, 1990. So, I think I'm old now, too. I'm about 34 years that I've been in this church, too. So, I'm not a yesterday boy in the church. All right. Now, in that particular time, you will realize there are things we used to do. There's only one redeemed. When I call one, I mean one. A few years after, we now have two. That's why we have the model. Now, the model began to show us the new way of doing ministry. And we that are in the classical, after a while, we begin to key ourselves into the new way of doing ministry. The church I used to call RCCG, Iju Parish. And you have mentioned that to us one time, that one of our lackeys was alive. One, I don't know, somebody said, one end will not something. I've forgotten the story now. All right. So, that is the time they call it RCCG Iju Parish. When the model came to these two rows, we have to tag those parishes. We turn it to Adoration Parish. So, we have to keep flowing with the new system. Redeemed is now operating. Now, we, they only speak Yoruba. We brought in English also. They now interpret. Now, we can also begin to get the Israelites. The new came in. And not too long from then, there was this rivalry between the old and the new, the classical and the modern. Now, they brought in the unity, the unity church. Now, the unity church will now unify both the old and the new. That's how we arrive at the third phase of RCCG, called the unity parish. Started by Pastor, I think Adelo Yede. That's how he left the second headquarters. And then, not too long from then, I think the wave of, see the youth now, or the Pastor Seed. So, all of that begin to fall upon each other. And now today, what is really, really on top of RCCG is the youth church. If you don't understand what it means to run a church, in the youth church, you will not get the target as the church expects from you. So, you need to understand that the new direction, the new move, the new wave is moving now. And if I tell you, RCCG has metamorphosed into about eight or nine phases. But I can't be telling you that from this place, so don't go to me. Go and take it to yourself on your own. About eight, nine now, as I speak. All of that. And they are doing things differently. You remember when the 88, that was a church that was parted at that time also. And they call it Legacy Churches. And they define how they are going to operate. Their pastor will be called the lead pastor, not pastor in charge. He will be called the lead pastor, not pastor in charge. And that's what the bridge, they don't have a lead pastor in the bridge. And other ones, too. I won't mention names to you. But to let you understand the phases, and they are bringing in new ideas. So you cannot keep operating at the old system and you want to get a new thing happening in your life. When I came into Undo Province 4, I keep echoing into them. You can't keep doing the same thing the same way and expect to have a new result. That's why today, in spite of a year, God helped us to be able to change the field of Undo Province 4 in a new dimension. So leaving the place at this time is like a trouble, a problem to them. Because they wonder, too short? Why now? God's cry. You know, and I have to pacify them. That's how God designed life. And when I get to a new place, I follow the instruction of then-President Junotan. He said, eat the ground running. He said that to the minister at the appointed time. Eat the ground running. If you get to a new church, or you are transferred to a new place, and you study for one year, if I keep studying, this is how they will move me. Or they will just keep me there and say, it's not doing anything, it's not productive. Get to anywhere, I only watch you for one month. I can't stomach nonsense. I start correcting immediately. I have to begin to make adjustments immediately. And if you get to Redemption Court today, you will think it's a model church. It was a model church. They call it Redemption Mega. It's not a mega here. They are just trying to glorify mega. But we have to see our way. We dive back to that mega angle in a way. And thank God for the people. I was amazed. I was just shouting. How can they carry you? How can they transfer you to where? Why? So I just said, I'm needed elsewhere. And that's the subject of the old wine and the new wine. If you can keep injecting to your own system the new wine, you will be needed everywhere because you will be relevant at every location where you find yourself. You won't operate on old glory. You won't operate on old anointing. You can't put new wine into an old bottle. So in the youth movement, there's no way you can operate maximally if you don't pour out in you the old wine and rebrand your content and the container so that both can work better for the kingdom advantage. Now, the new wine, when we talk about the new wine, it suggests several things. Number one, new way. It will be a new way. New way of doing things. Number two, new ideas. New ideas. As Osama Deyemi said, idea rules the world. If you are dead of ideas, you can't do something that will be tangible, that will make positive effect in your generation. And that's why at the GEO, even at 81, he's still batting new ideas. Ideas is still flowing in him. Now, just this convention, four of our senior pastors who were brought home, he created another department called Strategic Growth Department or something. He brought four of them back home and put them in locations in Nigeria, one in Lagos, one in Nevada, one in Calabar, one in Abuja. Now, at 81, new ideas is still flowing. When he knows you have overstayed your time in one place, now he move you, put you somewhere else where you feel you can be more useful. So if we at our level, with our workers, with our pastors, we are not innovating, we are not generating ideas. When we came to Redemption Court, what I did in Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, With the leader, don't forget that We all lead in one capacity or the other A leader Put his people first Not himself in the forefront In all things Leader will consider the followers first As well as the leader So understand that too I'm not greedy, I'm not self-centered And that's why, wherever I am My people are my priority The people I'm asked to lead They're my priority, and they know Hardly will any pastor In charge of a province Attend workers' meeting Hardly Since I became one Asked my wife, she said, 13 years We never miss workers' meeting, so we are not in town Except I'm not in town I must be at the workers' meeting Now Dig in deep I said I'm not in town Say clinic, I said I'm not in town I don't go anywhere to preach I stay in the church there If you count the number of months Or sorry, weeks I spent In I spent so far in the other province I don't think they can Count five Sundays I'm not around In one year, I don't think so Because that particular quarter Is my constituency I told them When I was in Abuja I said, if I go out to minister I said I want to come and visit you I asked them in the church I asked them in the pastors' meeting I said, what are you doing? I'm calling you I said, you are called The reason why I was called You have your ministry And people to minister to For me to leave my own assignment To come and be helping you Before I come back, I will have died So I stay with my job You stay with your job My answer is, when you need me Invite me, I will come In fact, in Abuja, they know I will preach my first service If I go anywhere I met that church at about 2002 With COVID, everything that happened We were still able to leave About 2007 behind Because I was there every Sunday Tuesday Thursday I am there That's what I signed for I'm not a part-timer, I'm a full-timer You are a part-timer I can understand My people They are my priority I don't joke with them, and they know You know I move my Holy Communion From Sunday To Tuesday You see As a leader, you must Have this thing around your people How are they feeling Come, come, come To come and do what? People are getting tired Of the system we run, my brother And me, like I said I keep changing I keep changing my strategy How I will get better results Today, by the grace of God In this place On the province When this EU Of First Cassidy came on board Not Cassidy now Subsidy or something You understand I told the people I said, workers' meeting From 7.30 To 8 o'clock I said, our Sunday school Will start by 8 a.m. And end by 8.30 The normal service will start By 8.30 and will end By 10.30 Now I'm helping them, I'm helping myself If I stay in church For 10 hours No matter School increase Are you following me? Now They won't pay offering I will see Bonfoy On top of waiting So We run Three hour service For Sunday school So we run So I'm able to save a lot of money From just burning Fuel anyhow Dig in deep One hour, 15 minutes Don't waste money Fake clinic One hour You know you run your own together on Wednesday So that's our own system By the time I combine my own two together Many of you Because My one hour, 15 minutes One hour, make it two hours, 15 minutes For your Wednesday alone You'll be there for two hours Burning fuel, wasting resources So I save their time I save their time And I save the church money The priority must be number one In your agenda To create a system To make them comfortable Make them relax, make them smile All the time, that's leadership Not just to be there Tomorrow We are going to pray for three hours It is well low And that's why Even in the church among your people You must have people who can give you a feedback Don't fight with everybody Don't make sacrifice your friends No Many leaders, that's where we miss it Sacrifice And it's fake Fake So get people who can help you do your job Type of leadership Autocratic leaders, they are there Autocratic means they dictate Sit down Sit down We are going to heaven tomorrow We must get to heaven at all costs Autocratic Democratic leaders They consult others They ask others For their opinion And then the leaders Fail business leader These ones, they make policies Leave it for their people Go and implement it They move themselves from the equation And then the fourth one Is the transformational leader When they get to any place They transform the place They encourage others To work together with them That they can achieve a better goal And the last one Is the theocratic leader From the word theo Means god Theocratic leader That's what really bothers us here This is a rule That comes from god As a leader Moses was an example of that God called him And with his weakness With his deficient In speaking He was not eloquent enough Yet god called him There are many of us who have our weaknesses Yet god has chosen us We are not the most beautiful people We are not the most knowledgeable Among our people But god has called us Because of his theocratic power He wants to put his power in us That he can use us To advance the kingdom If you know me in the past You will know this one Now, I'm not stammering Like the way I used to stammer But if I tell you I was a stammerer You won't believe it This is a training I've gone through on my own When I came in to church 1995 And I preached Jumping, I'll be sweating, shouting, shouting Nobody will tell me You're wasting your time Nobody, because I was not married Everybody just stay on their own I'm on my own When I got married That was when I asked my wife How was your day She said, hmm She said We are not hearing you I said, with all the sweating And my stammering We are not hearing you Ha! In fact, I was ashamed Next Sunday Mutejeje I just stayed in one place Talking one by one And then I said, how was today She said, hmm, better Ha! Before I call one Sentence I mention one sentence They won't hear me You know when someone shouts They won't hear what you are saying I never knew Because I was not making any impact I was not making anything I was in a lorry Lifeless Memorial Parish I preach, I preach, I preach So I now ask the people I do that often also I praise me I praise the few months I spent with you And they were right They said, don't look at anything Just write as you can see me You know And they wrote That's one I cannot forget in my life Somebody wrote there He said, sir, you are doing well You are preaching well You are preaching above us Me, I don't understand Above us So thank God he put his number See, there are things you think you are doing And it's not impacting anybody So he wrote And I called the number The young man came He said, sir, you are doing well You are doing your very best in this church The church is growing, as you can see I said, thank you, sir He said, but I put that you preach above us Part of your sermon should also include What will happen to us after school How are we going to cope when we leave school How do we get jobs He said, yes See I have a memo Now he has sent just a student You are going too far The church is about 600 students About 200 adults So the students, they took the majority So I have to now find a way And I have got somebody OK, organize these students together And then teach them How to write CV Because in organizations The way they receive CV differs It's not the same thing There is a way to write it To Unilever If you don't know If you don't know You are praying You are not doing the right thing So if they are not getting it right there From the church I began to work around that for them And we are getting the target So Moses added And God used him mightily So the word excellent is talking about quality of being outstanding In whatever we are doing So excellent leaders They are intentional They practice self-improvement They are intentional people Because they want to get a goal Two, they practice self-improvement As on their own Don't wait for what church will do for you Improve yourself Things that will bring addition To what you are doing Learn and relearn all the time Be available And be secured Because there are available leaders But they are not secured They are afraid of their next man If the man is doing better than them It is a threat to them I came to the province too In year 2010 And I called my APICP there And I called my sister The sky is too wide for two birds to collide If you choose to go to the left I go to the right We can never cross each other's path You have your own ministry I have my own ministry Run your own, I run my own You are not a threat to me in any way At all But I have seen leaders in this mission Once you can do Better than them The next thing is how to crush you How to hand that ministry And send you packing I have experienced that too My leader, I won't mention his name When conference Is tomorrow He will tell me, today you are preaching tomorrow He knows That I am going to preach right from the first day of the conference Of when we are planning the conference But he will not tell me Because he knows This one must feel So, one day he called me He said, can you preach tomorrow morning I said, God will help me He said, ok I preached, uttered the message He is supposed to come after my own By the time I finished preaching He said The meeting is closed now We will meet again in the evening He didn't know what to say He closed the meeting I was not one of No, no, no The people are tired They need to go and rest I said yes sir, and I left Later I got to know from his people That God was threatened, he didn't know what to say again He said, everything you have said Has clattered his brain He was confused I said, ah, Maroko, are you? And he dealt with me Yes, he dealt with me Because in 2010 He was the one going around He said, he was not promoting He is not a good boy What is my offense? What have I done? What have I done? So, if you are working with such a leader Use your number six Use your number six So you don't end up on the downhill But they won't kill your anointing But as a leader Nothing will threaten us at all It's an advantage to me, sir If you can do more than what I am doing You will be my friend I will sit down Keep doing it I am still the person in charge Every target you are getting The result is on my table It's adding to what I am doing It's adding to what I am doing If your target comes one time or tomorrow It's under me I am not afraid I am not It doesn't move me at all My boys, they preach They preach on my pulpit I sit and listen to them I sit and listen to them I don't care what they preach It's your ministry, run it I have my own But when I get there My baby Baba Be like a father I say my boy has done well God bless you And I will start my own I will take it another dimension Be a secure leader Be available Don't be a runaway leader Who is not available to lead the people Be available with them You can never be secure Be disciplined Be principled Be dynamic and strategic Don't do things anyhow Be proactive And have eyes for taste Everywhere I go I have eyes for taste That's one thing about me If it's not good My brother, it's not good It's not about I have big money No, if it's not good It's not good Have eyes for taste So that my wife can come To talk about leading together Why must The new wine Because it's already old And the time and season You need a new wine And then to get the desired results That is excellent in leadership By injecting the new wine You must change your mindset Everything starts with your mind Your mind Is what Where you control the entire body Of your life Pour out a profitable mindset Everything will rise and start with your mind And that's one thing You just must learn to do Keep changing, keep improving Change your mindset Many of us are so used to a system That this is the way my father taught me This is the way I learned from somebody This is the way it has been done This is the way it will continue forever Till Jesus comes You won't get new results The mind is the angle of your life The Bible says a man thinks in his heart So is he What you think is who you become But like your posture Like your posture I told some people I said If they put you in some churches You will crash Because you are not prepared to get to that level Now in this place I have about nine professors Inside that church And When they come They sit down to listen To hear what this small boy wants to say By the time we are done By the grace of God They know somebody has said something So you need to change your mindset Desire new one number two Desire it Apostle Paul said Three of Philippians 13 and 14 I can't Unmyself to be there What I do I live behind things I have achieved And I am making a photo of what I have not achieved So desire something new on a daily basis This microphone I used to know it It is about 130,000 when I used to know this one You wonder how do I know the cost Because I have eyes for taste Desire something new all the time You know And The problem with this microphone is that After a while it begins to fade And all of that And if there is another one with it It begins to jam And so All of that you need to Desire something new You get this camera today What else can I get again That is better than this one That should be your target Begin to sleep And begin to relax Okay Thirdly determine to pay the price As my wife comes down to pay the price Everything has a price tag So pay it And then to do that We are leading together comes in You must rule out individualism Don't say you You go there Me I go here Rule it out Move in the same direction Move together And thirdly see yourself as a team As you are a team working together For a purpose I pray with this little I have said Let's welcome my wife As she takes us further From here Thank you sir
