Anabolic steroids, derived from testosterone, are drugs that appeal to bodybuilders, athletes, and male models due to their muscle-building effects. However, they are extremely dangerous and can cause liver damage, liver cancer, and blood-transmitted infections if shared needles are used. Short-term consequences include mood swings and increased aggressiveness. Steroids can be addictive, but it is less common than other drugs. Long-term consequences range from cancer to strokes, and they can also affect the hormonal system. Buying steroids is risky as they can be laced with other substances or meant for animals. Steroids are used to enhance muscle growth, increase body weight, and improve performance. Many bodybuilders, including famous ones like Arnold Schwarzenegger, have admitted to using steroids. It is important to understand the consequences before deciding to use them. A healthy diet, lifestyle, and workout routine are better alternatives. Ultimately, the decision to use steroid Good morning, upshots, and everybody listening. Today, we're going to talk about the issue of anabolic steroids. Thank you for inviting me and listening carefully to this major problem happening around the world. So basically, steroids or drugs known as anabolic steroids are made in laboratories and have the same chemical structure as the steroids found in the male sex hormone, testosterone. This is why it's appealing to bodybuilders, athletes, and male models because of the muscle-building effects of these drugs. To put it short, anabolic steroids are drugs which are derived from testosterone, which is a male hormone. So the thing about anabolic steroids is that it's really simple to use. You can just swallow a pill, and you can feel the effect immediately. However, it can also form an injectable form, which I'm going to talk about later in the podcast. While as many people may use it, they don't even know the consequences. In their mind, they're thinking, the harmless drugs don't make me stronger and look bigger. The side effects might harm me, but not harm me that much. However, they don't know any of the long-term nor short-term consequences nor the side effects of taking this drug. Anabolic steroids are actually extremely dangerous. Most anabolic steroids tablets pose a definite risk of permanent liver damage and liver cancer. I'm going to talk about more long-term consequences later in the podcast. Like any other drug, it is very, very, very risky and dangerous to share needles with this drug. If you end up sharing needles, you'll have a high risk of catching HIV slash AIDS. They're also known as blood-transmitted infections. There are other infections, too, that you can catch, like Hepatitis B or C. Unfortunately, we're not going to talk about these infections too much in this podcast. Some short-term consequences are mood swings, and anabolic steroids can increase aggressiveness. Well, just like any other drug, steroids can get addictive. Well, steroids can get addictive, but it's not, like, that common if you're comparing it to heroin or meth or weed. It's not that, like, addictive, but it can get addictive. People with a lack of knowledge of what consequences are and how it can damage their body, they keep thinking that it's going to help them build lean muscle, and they keep taking it. And anabolic steroids can get addictive, and you're going to have to take a journey through the steps of addiction, first use, continued use, dependence, tolerance, addiction, and even relapse. We're not going to talk about that too much either at all in this podcast, because that goes into a different subject. And also... Well, first of all, in the steps of addiction, if you go through there, when you get to tolerance, where you need more of the drug to get that feeling, it doesn't work. Because in steroids, if you take more of the drug, it's not going to get more of the effect. It doesn't work like that. But some of the long-term consequences of using steroids can range from cancer to all kinds of strokes. But here are some of the major and most common ones. Permanent liver damage or even liver cancer, which we already talked about before. Anabolic steroids are also something that doesn't work if you keep on doing more of it, which I already said. Anabolic steroids can cause liver tumors, diabetes, and even stunted growth in teenagers. That's why it's really, really dangerous. These types of steroids or anabolic steroids can also affect the hormonal system, which is very dangerous. I could name many more. It can include your acne, if you have acne. Getting kicked off a team if they find out you have an abuse in steroids or anabolic steroids. Because if you're in a soccer team or a basketball team or any type of sports team, maybe just a club after school, and if they find out that you're using any type of drug, they're going to kick you out. Also, anabolic steroids increase cholesterol and blood pressure. It can cause problems sleeping. It can cause jaundice, also known as yellowing of the skin. It can include development of heart disease or abnormalities of the heart. Well, when you buy anabolic steroids, you get it from somebody in a gym, because anabolic steroids are mainly used to build muscles, so obviously you're going to find it in a gym or you're going to go to a dealer, a drug dealer. However, you must be incredibly careful if you're going to buy this drug, even after knowing the consequences. They can give you something completely different. They can give you a drug that may be laced with something else, or it could be poison. It could also be a drug that's meant for animals, not humans. Here are some of the common names of the drugs that are meant for animals, not humans. Angio, Sustanin, and Primalin. Anabolic steroids could also be laced with these animal drugs, so you have to be extremely careful when you buy it, and you have to know if the name is actually not fake. Well, steroids, they're used to build muscle and lean muscle. So some people, they're just lazy, and they just can't have a healthy diet and have a healthy lifestyle to get muscle. And it's so much better if you just have a healthy life, a healthy lifestyle, a healthy diet, and just a healthy workout routine than using steroids. But some people use steroids to enhance drugs, outweigh the cons. Another reason is to make money by entering a bodybuilding competition or a weight lifting competition. They can increase aggressiveness. The list goes on and on and on and on. They want to increase their body weight, their muscle, their lean muscle, their aggressiveness. They want to enhance everything about themselves. And it just keeps going on and on. There are many bodybuilders who have used this too, like Arnold and Sibam, who are really common bodybuilders. They're really famous bodybuilders who are pretty strong, and they've admitted that they use steroids. So that's another reason. They really want to get popularity and be famous. Ninety-nine percent of staged bodybuilders use or are on steroids. And I'm pretty sure they don't understand the consequences of steroids, and they should understand it before they take it. All right. All right. Thanks, all, for inviting me. Upshots. Also, if anyone listening was on and about steroids, just remember the consequences. And if you know the consequences and you're still taking it, just know that it's your decision. And I'm not telling you not to take steroids, but it is your decision. And I'm just telling you there is no consequence that could happen if you take steroids. And it's much better if you just have a healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle and healthy workout than steroids. But it is your decision. But be careful of the decision, and I hope this podcast helped you. Great day, everyone. Bye.
