Philip Black discusses the question of mankind's purpose and why human beings exist. He references Psalms 8:4 and explores various books, including the Bible, to find answers. He argues that science can explain the creation of everything but falls short in explaining the purpose of man. He believes that the Bible should be considered as a book that explains human existence. He then reads Genesis 1:26-28 from different Bible versions, emphasizing that humans are created in the image of God and given dominion over the Earth. He poses the question of why humans are given this responsibility and suggests that understanding our purpose is essential for knowing how to behave and fulfill our duties. He invites listeners to join him in future sessions to explore the scriptures and understand our responsibilities to our fellow man and our creator. Hello, this is Philip Black and I'd like to welcome you to the show that is Voice to Humanity. And there is a topic that I would like to cover today that has been on my heart and my mind that maybe other human beings have had the same question. And the reason that question is on my mind is because I read in Psalms chapter 8, verse number 4, where the question is, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? That is a profound question. When I have this question that's come in my mind, I would like to know, what is the purpose of man? Why did you create man? Why was man born? To be more specific, I would like to know, why was I born? For this session, of course, I'm using the scriptures and the reason for that is because there are many other books that I have referenced to try to get an understanding of what humanity or human life, what is its purpose and why it exists. And so, I've even looked at books that many scientists have written, given their explanation about how mankind or the earth and animals came into existence. But that's where it falls short is because it can only explain and theorize through observation about why that everything was created. But it cannot give an answer as to why man exists. Why does mankind have a purpose? And that is a good example of what I'm saying is science can do it through observation. Observation is not truth, it's only facts. So the truth is something that is true no matter what time, what century, what month, what year, none of that changes the truth. The truth will always remain the same. So that is the reason why I can say this is an undisputed truth here. No human beings will face death and no human being has made a request to God to be born. Mere existence does not equal purpose. So the thing that we have to understand in my question is always just because I'm alive does not mean or explain my purpose. So I can imagine that maybe many human beings may have this question. I wonder why I was born a male with dark skin color in a country and a state that I live. This question in general applies to all human beings. Does God's image depend on being a male or female, skin variation or color, country or state that a human being exists or lives in? I believe what ends up happening a lot of times is because we associate the Bible, which actually means books, with religion. And that is why I believe that the Bible is rejected many times from people who don't claim to have faith or have not come into the knowledge of a saving grace of Jesus Christ. They reject it because they associate the book with Christianity. They associate it with religion. What they should do is consider this book explains the existence of human beings. And from that I would like to offer this as a reference point for the sessions that we will study moving forward and try to answer the question, what is man? Is man in the image of God? So I will offer Genesis 126-28. There are three different Bible versions I will use to try to illustrate this poem. And the first I will read is from the King James Version. And God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing upon the earth. That is the King James Version. So God created man in his own image. In the image of God created he him. Male and female created he them. Now that right there is something that is clear to say, created he them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the face of the earth. That is now the end of the King James Version. Now I will read from the complete Jewish Bible. Then God said, Let us make humankind in our image, in the likeness of ourselves, and let them rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the animals, and over all the earth, and every creeping creature that crawls on the earth. So God created humankind in his own image. In the image of God he created him, male and female he created him. God blessed them. God said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it, rule over the fish in the sea, and the birds in the air, and every living creature that crawls on the earth. This is the complete Jewish Bible. The next I will read is from the International Translation. Then God said, Let us make human beings in our image to be like us, and they will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and small animals that scurry along the ground. So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them, male and female he created them. Then God blessed them and said, Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and govern it, reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground. Here we are reading what it says, God says concerning the human being. And as David alluded to in the Psalms that we read previously, the question is why? Why are you mindful of this man so to the point that you would allow him to rule and reign over the creation that you've made? And I think that is a profound question because without knowing the answer to that question, how would human beings know how to behave or what is expected from their creator when it comes to this question? So I hope that you will join me in the next session as we discuss the word of God or the scriptures of God and try to understand what our duty is as a human being. What our purpose is to our fellow man and to the creation and most of all, first of all, our responsibility to our creator. And with that said, I'm going to end this session hoping that the next time we meet we'll be able to cover this in more detail and hopefully this will be enlightening to those who listen because from what I read, from what I'm understanding, is that this is a message to all human beings, not a select section of beings, but to all. And with that being said, I hope to see or hear from you on the next show and I will close with this thought, if there is a question in your mind as to why you exist, this may be an opportunity for us to study together and get an answer. Until then, this is Philip Black once again from Voice of Humanity, signing off until we meet again. God bless you.
