Two freshmen at the University of Alabama, Nazario and Cole, have started a podcast called "The Lost Sheep" that focuses on Christianity and faith. They talk about their journey as roommates and their goal to bring inspiration and relate it to scripture and faith. They want to reach out to everyone, not just Catholics, and their main goal is to generalize Christianity. They also introduce themselves and talk about their backgrounds. They mention the strong Christian community at the university and the recent change in the football team's head coach. They share a funny story about trying to attend a press conference. Alright, here we go. You nervous? Give me a little, that's hard. We roll with it. You roll with it. Okay, let's do this. Good luck, brother. Um, you know. I'm not gonna do this yet. I'm getting a little nervous. Start off pretty plain and simple. Here we go. Ready? Whatever you are, brother. Alright. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Lost Sheep podcast. I'm Nazario Pangallo, here with Cole Bissett. And we are, you know, just two freshmen at the University of Alabama. Just became roommates a few months ago. But we've been thinking about this moment for a while. We've had this idea for a podcast together for, you know, a good amount of time, right? I mean, I feel like over the summer we've talked about it a good bit. I mean, this has been three months in the making, and we finally were like, shoot, let's do it. So, I mean, for some reason we randomly got this inspiration almost like four weeks ago to finally get it going. That's when we created the Instagram channel in December, and then, you know, for Christmas I was able to get a bunch of this gear, thankfully from my parents, so it all just really came together. But, you know, I think we have to go back to the origin, and, you know, we were looking for roommates coming to the university, and this guy sends me a text. The first text he sends is just a huge thing about, you know, he's Catholic, he is big into his faith, and he wants to continue his faith throughout college, and he saw, you know, myself, my profile, saw that I was into my faith, and that's how we first started on our journey, so we first started talking. And then now, we're here to bring you a podcast that is, you know, all about Christianity, faith in general, and how to live out your faith in your daily life. Yeah. Sorry, I apologize, my phone just went off. But, um, so the idea for this podcast is to bring up a quote from not just, you know, religious people, but quotes around the world, any type of quote from any type of person, and break down that quote, and it's supposed to be inspirational for us, and put it into our daily lives, and what does it mean for us, relate it to obviously scripture and faith in that way. And what I would tell people is when they ask about it, I've had several people come up to me like, so you all have an idea already? And I'll be like, well, what we're going to do is it can be anybody from, I mean, I always say this, from Taylor Swift to Jesus. I mean, it doesn't really matter, we don't want to single anybody out. Our goal is to generalize this to Christianity as a whole. We're both Catholic, obviously, we talk about that a lot, but our goal is to not just single out Catholicism, but we want to relate to everybody in Christianity. Obviously, we'd like everybody to be Catholic, but sometimes it just doesn't always work out that way. So we're going to try to use this as a big outreach program to everybody, and that's kind of our main goal. I think that's been the goal since the beginning. But would you mind going ahead and introducing yourself to the audience, really telling us about each other? So I'll go first. I am from Kentucky. We didn't grow up in the same place at all. Growing up in Kentucky is a little bit different, a little bit colder up there, and I feel like there's a good amount of Christian outreach there. I feel like it's a pretty good Christian community. There's a decent amount of Catholics, a decent amount of other things mixed. Really, growing up, I was homeschooled, and I went to a co-op that was mostly Protestant. I still have my Catholic influence with Sunday school, my parents, and going to church there. I also have a decent amount of Protestant influence as well, which honestly, I've been happy with how I've been introduced to people, especially my friend Zach and Levi Frederick. Those are some of the guys that I could just mention right now. But I feel like they were great delving into their scripture, and they knew a lot about their scripture, which is very valid, really helped me in that way to learn about that. But yeah, and then obviously my parents did a great thing with that. But for me, my passion, other than my faith, has always been sports. I'm a huge sports guy. I'm specializing in sports media for my career. And so I decided to come down here for a visit, and you have the football teams down here, but you also have a great amount of sports media opportunities down here. So that's really why I came to the University of Alabama. And I'd like to add on to that, we both have participated in a huge amount of intramural sports. I was part of the Alabama Catholic intramural soccer team, co-rec soccer team, and we made it all the way to the championship. Desario, I can attempt to be the goalkeeper for our guys' team. He was a catcher, so I was like, surely he's quick with his hands, and he came out there and performed. I mean, first game, you were put in as a starter. You got PK'd, saved us. I mean, it was wild. I was over there freaking out on the sidelines. I'm like, dude, you better pick a side. Just pick a side, and you'll be fine. And you picked a side, and by golly, it was the best save I've seen in a while. I appreciate that. Yeah, it was pretty awesome. So now I'll introduce myself a little bit. My name's Cole Bissett. Some of y'all may know me. I'm from Coleman, Alabama, family of seven. There's a good bit of us. Bless your parents. Yeah, bless your mom. They deserve a lot of credit. But I've got four other siblings. I'm the oldest. And I'd like to say our two dogs count as children as well, if I could say that. We've got a chihuahua and a chorkie, so they're little, and I always tell people, I hate little dogs. I hate the strong word. I very much just like little dogs. Medium size is kind of where I prefer, honestly, because it's like, they're still small enough that you can hold them, but they're not, like, annoying and loud. Well, then you also have, you know, little man syndrome with little dogs. They don't... Yeah, they're the biggest guys in the room. Exactly. They gotta be real fierce and, you know, just bark loud and be all attention, me, me, me, but, you know. My grandparents got, like, this blue heeler, and it's a bigger dog, but our little dogs hate it. Like, they hate it. They'll walk up to it, and the chihuahua's name is Paco, but he's, like, he's like, oof, man. So he'll go up and try to fight him, and I'm like, dude, one bite and you're gone. You're gone, man. Okay, so going on to that, I worked for three years as a farmer, for a local farmer. It ranged, my job ranges from haying to building fences to maintenance overall, kind of just keeping pastures and stuff growing and making sure no other cows get out. I helped vaccinate some of the cows and some other stuff as well. So that's been a huge part of my life recently. I came to the University of Alabama because both my parents graduated from here, and I kind of was like, it's the University of Alabama. There's football. The Catholic Center here is awesome. Faith life is awesome. Just in general, like, obviously, we've been in the Catholic Center, but really, you see a lot of ministry around here at the University of Alabama, any type of Christianity, which is just awesome to see at a college community. Yeah, we were talking about that, like, what, three weeks ago? Yeah. I was like, I mean, I think even you said it. You were like, dude, there are so many Christians on this campus. I'm like, yeah, it's kind of weird. Like, so many times you'll see, like, people walking around with their Bibles on Sundays going to church or, you know, Bible studies different weeks, and, you know, you'll see a lot of people out there with tables and, like, signs or stuff. They chalk a lot around here. I'm not really sure if that goes around every college campus, but you see it on the floor. You'll be like, oh, ministry event now or certain time wherever it is, and you'll see different things like that around campus, which is pretty cool. I like to see that. The Baptist industry is pretty big too. I mean, I say the top two here are the Catholic community and the Baptist community. They're right across from each other, but the programs are huge, so there's always cars everywhere. But most of the time we try not to drive because there's always cars everywhere, so it works better kind of just to walk, and it's exercise, so we don't want to get freshman 15. So to talk about a little bit about what's going on in campus right now, just for fun, might as well bring it up. So we recently lost our head coach of our football team, which the university likes to use as a bribe to all students who come here. Nick Saban is kind of a huge part of the Alabama University as a whole, and so we just lost him and got a new coach. His name is Kalen DeBoer, and might I say his record proves his worth as a coach. 104-12. 104-12 is the head coach. Yeah, and he coached Washington. Out of all teams, you kind of figured like the Northwest side would be kind of a struggle. I mean, there's not a lot of recruitment going on up there, so he brought that team down. I mean, he did. We didn't. We didn't go to the National Championship. Both lost to the same team, but... I guess it is what it is. But, so, there's a little funny story on that that we...so there's a press conference today, and I'll let Nazariah explain a little bit more on that. Yeah, so, you know, I come home from this meeting that I'm doing this morning, and I'm like, you know, the Kalen DeBoer press conference, introduction press conference, is at 1 o'clock. I'm like, dude, let's go over there, and let's see if we can find a way into this thing. And so, I'm working on being a journalist, a writer, so I'm like, alright, we gotta get this certain, you know, attire on here. We take our backpacks, act like, well, I actually have a laptop in there, he does not. So we're just like faking that we're journalists, and so we go up there, and I've actually done journalism work, so I knew the guy. So, we follow these people up the stairs, if you've never been to Bryan Denny's, there's stairs that get up in the front, and we go up there, and we follow right behind these people, this dude opens the door for them, and then we walk up the door, and I'm like, oh, we're here with the media. And he's like, alright, come in. So we go in the door, but then I got a checkpoint, and we're like, okay, this is where it gets really tough. So then I ask the guy, I'm like, oh, we're here with the Crimson White, which is a newspaper here in Alabama, and I actually work for them, so I'm not, like, lying here or anything like that. And so I'm like, yeah, we're here with Crimson White. And he's like, oh, is your name on here? And he's like, um, sending emails to the person, so he's looking on there, and I'm like, yeah, you know what, I got here a little late, I don't know if I'm in there or not, so trying to just get our way in there. And I'm over there, I'm telling him, I'm like, listen, man, I'm just shadowing, I'm not even part of the Crimson White, and I'm like, if he can get in, let him in, I'll sit out. I was like, I don't have to be in there, he's part of the Crimson White, he's more important to me. So, I was like, I'm just trying to get him in, so one of us can get in. I mean, that's like a story you tell your grandkids. Yeah, and so I've seen this guy at the softball games before that I've gone to do, and I'm like, yeah, you were at the softball games that one time, because I was trying to not, I was trying to like relate to show him that, you know, I've been there doing journalism a little bit, and so he's like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, and he's like, oh, I'll go check and see if we have any more room, I'm sure we have some room. And he goes upstairs, and then he never comes back down, but one of his assistants down there is like, yeah, we were able to get you guys in there. Yeah, it's a no-go. So we walked out pretty disappointed, but I think we had our joke. We got our adrenaline rush, you know, it felt pretty good. We did see Terry and Coach Saban, ex-Coach Saban, but that was the pleasant surprise. There were hundreds of people out there already waiting for Jalen, though. They're ready, so that's exciting. But, yeah, that's the big news on campus at the moment. Other than that... Well, the biggest news on campus is this podcast. Oh, yeah! Yeah, that is definitely the biggest news. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, you don't really have many cameras going around all these football things. They're mostly around our dorm right now. They're right outside, waiting. Yeah, so, I mean, we definitely have a lot of people trying to get to us. But anyway... That was just a joke, guys. Please laugh. Anyway... Just a little preview on what we're going to be doing with this. We're going to release an episode every Sunday. That's our goal. If we miss it, we'll try to update you guys before that happens. You never know. Sometimes unforeseen circumstances do come up. So we're going to record it a week in advance. That way we always have one time to replace it. So if something does come up, we're ready. But, that's it. Have you covered what we're going to be doing? Quote-wise? Okay, cool. Yeah, we're about to be ready to go ahead and jump into our first segment in a second. Alright, let's do this quote. Alright, quote for this episode, which is... This person is very important to me. First off, before we jump into it, I brought along a little prop. So, for all you guys who don't know, there is this marvelous actor out there that goes by the name Matthew McConaughey. There's so much to say about him. I love him personally. I think he's pretty awesome. And if you guys have not read his book, Greenlights, go check it out. I always tell people the best way to do this book is to read along and you go on YouTube and he has a version of him reading it. So you can go listen to him read the book to you. And it's awesome. It's full of really solid life advice. Obviously some stuff in there is not completely what I agree with, but then again, how are you going to meet somebody that has the exact same opinions as you, for being honest? But, this is a phenomenal book. If y'all would like to go read it, YouTube, it's out there. Alright, so this quote, obviously just said from Matthew McConaughey, is beginning of the quote, Life is a series of commas, not periods. Would you like to begin on your discussion about this quote? We'll display this on the top so y'all can see it as we follow along. Yeah, I'll start it off. So, I want to go ahead and just quote a Bible verse out there. This one's really important to me. And just a lot of times it appears in my life. My girlfriend, it's her main quote for her life, so I kind of was like, oh, this fits right in there. So, the quote is, Jeremiah 29 1. No, I'm sorry. Jeremiah 29 11. For I know the thoughts I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. I think that's spectacular. I think it's awesome because what it does is it doesn't keep you in the present, which I think a lot of people struggle with today. They're like so focused either on redeeming their past because a lot of people make mistakes and they're so focused on getting that mistake out of the way and moving on that they kind of lose track of the present itself. And then sometimes I know a lot of people who are focused on the future and are too worried about getting to this, getting to that. What job am I going to have? Yada, yada, yada. Too worried about it. What really needs to be the central focus is the present. How are you going to get that future? If you want it, treat it as a goal. Don't treat it as something that's going to happen. It's not going to happen if you just think it's going to happen. You have to strive for that. It's all about striving. Sarah Swofford, by the way, it's her favorite word, striving. Go listen to her. She's a big Catholic speaker. Striving, striving, striving. Is there another Bible verse to go along with that? You said we're talking about the past. One of my Bible verses I have for today is Isaiah 43, 18 that says forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. That's a huge way that the devil tries to attack us as human beings is with the past and bringing up our shame and really trying to make us feel bad about that. We really have to believe and trust that our sins are really forgiven and that God really did come back, come on this earth and sacrifice his life for our sins to be forgiven. I know it was a long time ago if we're really thinking about it. Over 2,000 years ago since he did that to sometimes it may be like, was that even real? I mean, I know I read it but did he actually do that for me? Is that really a thing? But yes, he really did. He really loved each one of us. He loves he still is loving us, always will, always has. He's loving us and did that for us out of love. And then another way that the devil loves to attack us is by the future. Trying to make us worry about that and you know I just think it's a huge thing that he does. Personally I can say that about the first semester of college. I think I worried a little bit too much about the future on that one but I think Christmas break really helped me to refocus that and you know it had to do with a lot of different things. Going back to see family going back to see my girlfriend, different things like that. Able to you know, enjoy that moment. Even though that I knew I was going back to college in a little bit, I felt like Christmas break was a great time to just enjoy in that moment and loving that moment and not thinking about everything else that is going down. Obviously we've only been back to campus for you know a few days but I feel like it's been much better with folks you know in the present and we talked about this. We were talking about this earlier today that we've done way more like just stuck outside of our dorm to enjoy being here right now. Like the thing with the press conference yeah we didn't get in but like it was fun and we went out and enjoyed it and it was just something to do instead of just sitting in our dorm and sitting here watching the press conference on our television. We were like you know let's go up there and see what the heck happens you know. Our first semester pretty much consisted of us going to adoration mass adoration mass watching Parks and Rec every single night. So I mean our social life really wasn't top tier because we don't drink. We are very adamant about that. It's a huge part of our kind of lifestyle is we don't want to get caught up in that sort of. We don't want to lose track of our site in college is what our goal is right. We want to still be able to have a clear destination. On top of this quote I think what a lot of people struggle with is obstacles. Like people get to this point in their life where they're comfortable. They're comfortable with that whatever they are and that's the most dangerous point. You don't want to be comfortable because if you're comfortable oh you're cruising and if you're cruising you're not paying attention right. You've always got to be paying attention and so what happens is there's this clarity in life and once you hit this obstacle it's like everything fogs over. It's like oh my gosh what am I going to do and what do we do when we get in those situations? We panic. We freak out. We're like oh no what are we going to do? What are we going to do? If you're driving on the road there's fog what do you do? You turn on the lights but the lights don't work because the fog gets thicker. It's like stuff like that and then what you don't realize is even though there's fog there it's still clear on the other side. Like it doesn't change anything. You're going to get through it. The fog's movable through. You don't get stuck. You're not stuck in the fog. God's there to pull you out. There's light on the other side. That's how I think people get to the obstacle. They wait outside the fog. They stand there. They're like huh what am I going to do? Am I just going to stare at it? Am I just going to let it be there and bother me until I get past it? The fog's not going to clear up until you do it yourself. If you're in a state of depression clear that. I'm going to go back to what you said about being comfortable. Reading a book started this over break and I think these are some amazing quotes from this book. I'll tell you what book it is after I read these quotes. Beginning of the quote here. Every person is an infinite miracle bubbling with unimagined possibilities. Love the unrealized potential in other people. Honor your own potential by remembering that who you are today is but a dim reflection of all you can become. Potential that is honored, loved, and encouraged will flourish. I'll get the book out real quick for you. This is by Matthew Kelly, great Catholic writer as well, speaker. The Rocket Chair Prophet. Great book. But basically what this is saying is it's really a vision that God has for all of us and the way that he looks at us and the way that humans really struggle. We see people in a different light. We wear this wristband right here that we got on a retreat that we went on that says treat people like Jesus died for them. In this way you don't always have to act that out. If you're not interacting with someone that doesn't mean that you still can't treat them like you just love them by looking at them the way that Jesus loves them. We don't know what we can become in our lives. We as humans, we see like we are very tunnel visioned. We do not see a lot of outside things and we don't see that wow, that guy is just, he's drinking he's partying all the time, he's getting with a bunch of girls, whatever it may be, guy, girl, whatever. But we don't see that. That person could become one of the greatest evangelists ever because God's going to go in there he's going to turn them around and he's going to make them to someone amazing. Sometimes we get comfortable with ourselves and we don't understand how much better we can become and how much more conformed to Jesus we can be. And I think that's where the image of how we're trying to conform to be more like Jesus comes in there because God Jesus is perfect the perfect amount of love, everything you could possibly be and there's no way we're ever going to get there. So we're always striving to keep on going. There's never an end point for that. There's no period Matthew McConaughey said, there's always a you're always striving for that and it's an amazing thing to strive for because no one was ever like Jesus but Jesus is incredible if you're becoming more like Jesus, I mean that's the most incredible thing you could ever do. It's love it's mercy, it's passion, it's seeing people in the most beautiful ways and treating people in the most beautiful ways Jesus went in there 2000 years ago to this earth and he touched people like no one will ever touch anybody and he was able to change people that were people, saints plenty of martyrs, a bunch of people around the world are willing to die, willing to go into battle, willing to be thrown in prison for the name of Jesus. That's what he does. So if we're able to become more like him, imagine the impact that we can have on people for Jesus and I think that's just a really great way to put it of how to keep striving and growing. I think what's also interesting is, yeah sometimes people think and write this we both wrote this down, but I'm kind of now realizing it. We both wrote one period, like there's one period in your life, which is not true actually there's not a period, it doesn't stop what do you do when you die? Go to heaven? Purgatory? Hell. So you're still going somewhere, rather this is going to sound so nerdy, rather a semi- colon, it's the beginning of a new sin. You're going it doesn't end, your life still progresses. Another book I want to bring up on top of his is Problems of Pain by C.S. Lewis This whole book focuses on the fact that you have to go through pain in your life right? Like God didn't say your whole life is going to be pleasurable right? If you don't experience pain and go through troubles in your life, where are you going to be man? Like are you just going to be stuck there? And you're not going to learn anything? No, no, no you have to go through that, you have to get experience. It's all about that, I think that's why sometimes fathers really try to be tough on their sons, right? Because they want them to understand it, they want them to grow, they want them to be a better man than they are. That's their whole goal as a father right? You're raising a kid and if your goal isn't to be a better man then what is it? And another thing I want to point out is even the holiest people, saints out of all people, even the holiest people, St. Augustine viewed himself as a horrible sinner. Horrible, he thought he was the worst person on earth. He says that plenty of times. What a lot of people don't realize is sometimes what I was taught is that the holier you are the more evil you're going to look at yourself. And what I would like to say is the people who are often in the worst state, that's when God is going to work on you the most. He's going to try and get you back the hardest when you're in your worst state. You're going to feel that calling, that click. What I was telling them at Bible study the other day is a lot of times I'll randomly experience this just realization and it's about like I'll just be sitting in the car most of the time it happens with praise and worship music I've got a playlist and sometimes when I'm just really feeling it I'll play it and it's just this realization that God is real, like He really is. Like I just don't know why it happens but I'll just be sitting there just listening and singing Boom! Hits me like a train. It's like my heart just races and it's like the Holy Spirit is flooding through me and I'm like God is real man. God is real, like why am I here? He's the angle and it's just so important to know that. Sure, our end if we're going to say we have one period, our end will be in heaven with Him. That's where we want our end to be and I think that's really important to have. Sure it's a future goal but we need to prioritize our present for that end goal. I also want to say if y'all see me taking notes on the iPad it's just so I can write down questions or topics that get brought up in between I'm not ignoring you if it may seem like I am but I like to jot down notes because that's how I work I guess. I'm going to go back off what you were saying a little bit earlier about how life isn't always going to be pleasurable but talking about the problem of pain I think at your lowest point of your life, whether it be whatever you're doing but when that breakthrough comes when you're able to push through it is when you feel God the most. There's times when you're at the lowest point of the valley that you just don't feel Him and it just doesn't seem like He's there and that is okay. That is what builds your faith that's what builds your character because you don't feel it but you know it and I think that's an important thing about it because feelings are so unpredictable that you can't read them you don't understand them we never probably will understand them because our feelings are just our heart doesn't understand how human nature is but if we know in our brain and we focus on that and we focus on believing that's what pushes us through and then sometimes that feeling will come and it's incredible, it's great you're like man I pushed through and I felt that I pushed when I didn't feel it at all and I thought that I was just the worst ever I thought that I never could get out but I pushed through and I broke through and then I could feel it and then that's what pushes you to keep going because you know it that's what the feeling pushes you to knowing it and then you know it when you don't feel it and it's just a beautiful journey Why would you need faith? If you didn't have temptation why would you need faith? As Catholics this is towards a Catholic standpoint theological virtues are faith, hope, and love If there wasn't any trials if there wasn't any tests where's faith? Because then we truly know God's not testing us because we wouldn't have to have faith then If God was testing us if he wasn't testing us we'd be sitting there like there's no need to have faith What's so important about that? It's theological virtue We have to have faith, we have to have hope, and we have to have love and also on the feeling of love sometimes in love you have those situations where you truly even in the lowest, you still gotta love the person you gotta love your family you gotta love whoever you're with that's the point and sometimes when you're at your lowest it may seem like it's a low point but you're really not at a low point it may seem like it, but there's always a way up and that low point just builds so much character it makes it so much more real that you're able to not just feel it but to choose it, and I'm gonna go back on hope as well you know, you're in that low moment but you know that there's a brighter side you know that you have that hope for something better and that's a beautiful part of it as well Yeah, I mean the biggest one for me out of theological virtue is if I was gonna choose one I think I'd choose faith and hope, they're all equally as important but I think I'd choose faith because I think that really that tests your character that tests your resolve, right? I think, like you said, it does build character in a relationship like in our friendship we would have to trust each other we would have to have faith in each other in order to grow if we didn't have any faith, we would be nowhere I think it's really important in any relationship you have in your life to have faith Going back on hope as well, and you know, faith too St. Paul writes in Philippians of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this I'm sure of this That's a good question Yeah, that's pretty solid, I agree with you Um I think it's always just not to be satisfied Don't stop, grow Um I have a parable ready, actually No, he's prepared You know, I just happened to learn from the question So everyone, this is one of the most popular ones The mustard seed parable Right, it's the smallest seed You plant it in the ground and it grows to be the biggest tree In the end, I mean, that's how it works And it's so crazy because you like You look at the seed and you're like What is this going to do? Like, don't underestimate, don't underestimate anything I mean, it can be the littlest drop of Somebody coming up to you for the day And being like, God loves you That could plant a seed in somebody's heart And boom That could transform them And I think it's just, I think that's really important So for day to day life For me, I think I would not only want to help myself By not being satisfied But I want to go out to other people And something my aunt was talking to me about earlier Was like, once she feels something About another person She was like, especially with ladies Because sometimes ladies are more comfortable talking to ladies And sometimes guys are more comfortable talking to guys She was like, if I see a girl And she looks pretty, I'm going to go tell her And I'm like, you look beautiful And then she'll move on But that can make somebody's day And I was like, it's different for guys I can't go up to a dude and be like Yo, you're really handsome today bro That's weird, I can't do that But I can go up to them And be like, I think what guys appreciate Actually Is this, if they're doing something In their life, sports, working out I think they like acknowledgement That they're progressing So if you know a guy who works out a lot Or you can tell, and you're like, dude You're looking real buff today man, congrats You're looking good You don't feel like, ooh You don't feel good for the day Yeah, I guess I am doing something well I think I could incorporate that More in my day to day life And honestly, I thought about making that One of my What's the word 2024 Resolutions One of my resolutions for the year And I think I'm going to So I think I'm going to make it one of my resolutions And I'm just going to go up to the person And if it's a girl, I'll probably just be like, God loves you But if it's a dude, and I can acknowledge Something that he's doing, and progressing I'll just tell him, just straight up and say it And I think that's really important And going back to what you were talking about About Never stopping And always continue to grow I'm going to go a little bit different on that with you But I remember always being taught Growing up by my mom when I was homeschooled That when you are talking or when you are writing Something When you pause in a sentence That's when you put a comma And I want to relate this to our quote here So when there's a pause In your life, or there's a point of stoppage That's where you put a comma It's a series of commas It's not just a run on But you've got to take that comma You take that comma And you've got to be able to pause And you've got to be able to look back You've got to be able to reflect On the past as well Because the past is a lesson And sometimes you've got to look back on it And be like, dang, that was a great memory Or you can look back on something and say, dang What in the world was I doing right there, I messed up And you can say, you know, different ways You can say, that memory was awesome How did I get more moments like that in my life Where I just felt so full of life and love Or you can look back and say I did that wrong, I'm not going to put myself In that situation again You take that comma, you pause And you look back and you put it into more growth In your future I don't think y'all just realized how much this man just cooked I mean, that was awesome I think that's going to be a good way for us to close out this podcast And just end on that note Now, some things I want to talk about As we close One of our goals Is to be able to kind of relate to y'all So if you have any way We are going to be getting this on Which platforms? Well, so I believe we're going to be on We're going to be posting clips of it on TikTok And Instagram Reels for sure We're going to be doing video footage Of it live, or not live But our videos right here on YouTube We'd love to do it live at some point Live sometime would be crazy Get some people in the chat, get some questions of you But then I have this website That's going to be able to post Our Just Audio coverage to a multitude Of podcasting apps Apple Podcasts, Spotify I Heart Radio Amazon There's a few others Google Podcasts There's a good amount of them And then I'm hopefully going to be able to find a way To put our email into that So you can email us Or DM us through our social medias And all the different ways You guys know how social media works It's 2024, I don't feel like I need to explain that So just ask the questions Because that's how we relate to y'all We want to do what y'all want Because our whole goal is to connect with you So towards the end of this podcast We ask each other questions If we get questions sent in, we'll cover those instead And we'll shout you out If you don't want to be shouted out You can just ask me and remain anonymous And we'll talk about it But if you do, we'll shout you out And be like, we'll ask a question to each other And kind of just give our take on it Obviously Our opinions aren't perfect Our logic isn't perfect We're not scholars in Catholicism Or Christianity So if we say something Feel free to correct us Yes, but email it to us We'll listen to it We'll talk about it Don't blow up, we're okay We like to hear your point too We're not going to get angry over it We'd love to hear your opinion Because that's what we're talking about If you're interested in this podcast We want to grow And you can't grow without people giving you advice And you can't grow without criticism Also one of our goals For the future of this Will be to get some other features in We have a couple people already That we're going to ask But if you'd like to be on the podcast Email us, it may not be a guarantee We can get you on here, but we'll try our best Reach out to us individually If you know us personally too We're not doing that until about week 4 or 5 To try to get people in It may be even later We kind of want to settle into a rhythm first Before we move on But I think with that We're going to close So we will see you all next week And we hope you'll have a blessed week And continue to move forward And treat life as a series of commas And not a period God bless Let's go! That was fire! You ended that so well Dang dude I was really sitting there Oh my gosh My mom said it so many times That sounds so sick If it didn't I'd probably cry We paused off That was so dumb
