Sambhalpur University was founded in 1966 and relocated to its current campus in Bhunla. It has become an intellectual oasis and is named after Swabhava Kavi Gangadhar Meheb, our cultural icon. The Bhubaneswar Vihara Central Library is a place where students come to study, dream, and make a positive impact. Welcome to Sambhalpur University. On December 10, 1966, this university was founded to remain a long-term aspiration of the people of Western Odisha. Despite the fact that Sambhalpur University was already a 56-year-old school when it relocated from a rented private facility of Dhanupali, Sambhalpur to the current campus named Jyoti Vihar in Bhunla, its history and impact grew and it emerged as an intellectual oasis. Our cultural icon, Swabhava Kavi Gangadhar Meheb, he reminds us of our aspirations to be intellectual, to be close-offers, to be deliberate, simple females. This is our professional Bhubaneswar Vihara Central Library, named after the eminent Odisha engineer and scientist who founded the National Institute of Technology, Ramtela. Students gather here to study, dream and ultimately do good.
