The newsletter discusses the concept of coherence and how we are all interconnected in the world. Increasing personal coherence has benefits for our health and happiness, as well as the global environment. The newsletter also provides a technique to increase coherence through heart math. It emphasizes the importance of networking with a promotion mindset and focusing on what we can give rather than what we can get. The newsletter ends with a call to action to comment and share the newsletter with others.
Hello, everyone. Narnia Dawn here, and you're listening to Connected, the biweekly newsletter for guidance on growing your business in coherence. This is issue number three, and it's called Syncing Up. Feeling separate? It's funny how our brains filter out all the ways we are truly connected in this world, tricking us into feeling like dense, solid matter, when really, we are 99.999% space. And that space isn't empty. We are surrounded by and connected with electromagnetic fields with the potential for coherence.
Coherence means order, structure, harmony, and alignment within and among different systems, from atoms and organisms to families, communities, planets, and galaxies. Every whole entity has a relationship with and is part of a larger whole, which in turn is part of something even greater. So in this context, nothing or no thing can be seen as separate, alone, or lacking relationships. Taking responsibility for and increasing our personal coherence not only benefits our health and happiness, but also has a positive impact on the global field environment.
As more people contribute coherent energy to the global field, it helps to strengthen and stabilize mutually beneficial feedback loops between humans, the organized communities we live in, and the Earth itself. The benefits of increased coherence are felt not only on an individual level, but also on a larger global scale, creating a ripple effect of positivity and progress. Let's take a moment to add some coherence now, and increase the potential for social coherence with this proven heart math technique.
First, just take a moment to notice your body. Yeah, it's been there this whole time, supporting you with countless processes and incredible systems of order. Now notice your breath, and start to slow it down just a bit, relaxing into this moment. Bring your attention to the area of your heart. You may find it helpful to place a hand over your heart, and imagine that you are breathing in and out of your heart area. A calm breath in, a calm breath out.
Keeping your attention there, choose something or someone that you appreciate, and notice that feeling growing in your heart area. Now radiate that feeling of appreciation out, directing it to that something or someone that you chose. This helps open the heart more, and increases your effectiveness. It's like priming the pump. Evoke a genuine feeling of compassion and care, and begin to radiate that out first to the people in the building that you're in. If it's helpful, you can imagine it like a river flowing out to the sea, or beams of light radiating out.
Now radiate that out to the people in your town or city. Now expand that compassion and care out to your country, now your continent, and now the entire planet. Imagine your powerful heart care and kindness enveloping and uplifting the global field environment. Simply feel that compassion and care and gratitude for the planet going out from your heart. And now narrow that focus to a smaller group of people closer to you. So that could be people in your business, your group of clients, your network, or even your group of friends.
Take a moment to radiate genuine kindness and gratitude to them, flowing out from your heart area to connect and sync you all together. And you can allow this coherence to continue to have a positive ripple effect throughout your day, anchored in the science. Social coherence brings powerful benefits to all relationships, even within larger organizations. It boosts collective intuition, increases flow and resilience in our reasoning capacity, and creates easier access to solutions for win-win outcomes. Cooperative, harmonious alignment sounds pretty good for any social organization, especially one that jumps out of airplanes together.
Check out this video to learn more about the free fall skydivers who used social coherence to break the national record. In the market, does networking bring on the same nausea and anxiety as networking? Does networking bring on the same nauseating, exhilarating terror as the thought of jumping out of an airplane? I'm sure you've heard that if you build a referral network and remain active within it, you'll enjoy a steady stream of warm leads. And those are the best kind of leads.
But how you approach networking determines your effectiveness and motivation to even take the time to do it. Let's check how you approach networking now. Do you have more of what psychologists refer to as a promotion or a prevention mindset? People with a prevention mindset approach networking as an obligation, something to just check off the list, which makes it feel less authentic all around. Those with a promotion mindset focus instead on all the possibilities for growth and connection, which helps them network from a place of curiosity, generosity, and excitement.
They naturally network more often than the other group. What is the primary purpose you have in mind when networking? Are you more focused on yourself and your needs or theirs? Take a moment to think about all you have to offer, your hard-earned experience, wise advice, mentorship, and access to resources. Networking leads to the exchange of ideas, unique perspective, and creative thinking. When you focus more on what you can give others than what you can get from them, networking feels easier, more authentic, more fun, and definitely more worthy of your time.
How can you help create connections and synchronicities for others? As you are preparing for your next networking event, either in person or online, take a few moments to generate social coherence. Think of yourself as a connector, an uplifter, and radiate out generosity, kindness, and gratitude to those you'll be meeting with.
