Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of me and the English department. I am Rifki and this is my podcast. So today, I want to share my journey and experiences as an English major and what I've learned so far. Hope you guys happy listen, check it out. Alrighty, I'll begin with my profile. My name is Muhammad F.J. Adin. You guys can call me Rifki. I'm from Tusi, live in Padang and I born 30 July 2004. I really like listening to music and I do love learning English from music and that's all my profile. So I've joined the English department for several reasons. First one is I've always been an avid reader and have a deep appreciation for literature studying English that allows me to immerse myself in the work of a good author and explore the literary world. As an English major, I've developed strong writing skills which are essential for effective communication and critical thinking. Number three is studying English has given me a deeper understanding of other cultures as many great works of literature come from different countries and time periods. Number four, English is a versatile degree that open up many career paths such as teaching, publishing, or working in non-profit organization. During my time in English department, I've had numerous learning experiences. We start at first, right? I've learned the art of gloss reading which involves carefully examining text and uncover meaning and nuances. Number two is I've developed skills in textual analysis allowing me to deconstruct complex aspects and understanding the historical and cultural context. At three, I've honed my argumentative writing skill enabling me to present well-reasoned and persuasive essays. The English department has nurtured my creative side as I've explored various forms of creative writing such as poetry, short story, and drama. I've improved my oral communication skill through presentation, discussion, and group projects. And so, begin with conclusion. My journey through the English department has been a rewarding and transformative experience. I've grown as a reader, writer, and thinker, and I am excited to continue learning and exploring the rich world of literature. If you're considering joining the English department, I heartily recommend it for the personal and professional growth it offers. And that's all from me. Thanks for listening this podcast till the end. Hope you guys enjoyed with this episode about me and English department. See you guys on next podcast. I'm Fifki signing out.
