True freedom comes from following Christ not by trying to fulfill the law!

00:00-10:46

How many times have we all tried to gain something by our own strength? We work hard and achieve yet even what we achieve doesn't bring a satisfaction we thought it would bring. This is because in reality there are many pleasures on this earth to satisfy our flesh that will always cause us to never be fully satisfied. Truth is the only One who can give us true freedom not for our flesh but for our soul is Jesus. In Christ we will find true freedom for our soul that is not temporary but eternal.

Hey everyone, it is 10 a.m., August 18, 2023, yep, your sister Melissa is here, ready with a message that will change your life forever. It's not a message that comes from man, it's a message that comes from God. But before I give the message of the Lord, I want to pray. I want to pray for somebody out there who may be seeking answers, who may be in bondage right now, who maybe does not know of the freedom that they can inherit by simply making Jesus their Lord and Savior. So Father, I come to you, first and foremost, giving you thanks for this very day. I am thankful because you woke me up this morning. I am thankful because there's still air in my body, I'm still breathing. And right now, I just pray for all those who will hear this podcast. I pray that they will be encouraged by your message. I pray that their lives will be transformed, Father. I pray that if there is a need in their life that needs to be fulfilled in this day, that you will be the one to fulfill it for them, Father God. Lord, I pray for those who have delighted themselves in you, that you will in this day give them the desires of their heart conformed to your will and to your purpose, Father God. I just pray that if there is someone who is sick, that they be healed in the mighty name of Jesus. I pray that if there is somebody facing depression, that you, Lord Father God, will cause that spirit of depression to flee from them. I pray, Lord Father God, the joy of the Lord to be within their heart, to be within their soul. Father God, I'm just declaring a word through the airways, and it's your word, Father God, that no matter what we face, the joy of the Lord is our strength. Father God, I pray for all those who have been held captive by the lies and deception of the enemy, and I'm just declaring right now, Father God, for the blood of Jesus to break chains in this day. In the name of Jesus, for strongholds to be destroyed in this day. Thank you, Father, because what you did yesterday, you will do again today, and what you do today, you will continue to do it over and over again, because you are the God who makes a way. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Hallelujah. Praise God. He's so good. He's so wonderful. I'm excited. I'm super pumped up, because the joy of the Lord is my strength, and there is freedom in the name of Jesus, and yes, you too can have that freedom if you will open your heart today, and you will confess your sins, turn away from them, and make Jesus Lord and Savior over your life by confessing that you believe that what he did on the cross was good enough for you to inherit salvation. Well, the word of God today comes from Galatians chapter 5, starting with verse 1, and the word of God says, Stand fast, therefore, in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Indeed, I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing, and I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to the whole law. You have become estranged from Christ. You who attempt to be justified by the law, you have fallen from grace. For we, through the Spirit, eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision or uncircumcision avails nothing but faith working through love. Oh, this is a word for me, this is a word for you, this is a word for everyone who will hear this podcast. I want you to know that God sees your faults, God sees your failures, God knows what you were going to mess up, God knows you were going to take that wrong turn, God knows that you were going to derail, God knows it all, and the reason why we have freedom in Christ Jesus is not because Christ died and said, Now you must live by the law, if not you have no freedom. As a matter of fact, everything that Christ did, it was to fulfill the law and then give us that freedom to say, I know that I'm going to mess up in life, I know I'm not going to be perfect, but as long as I come to the cross, as long as I fall to my knees and I repent and I ask the Holy Spirit to help me, the Holy Spirit who takes up residency when we become sons and daughters of the Most High God is the same Holy Spirit who will help us and see us through all of our struggles, all of our dark moments, everything that we face in this life, because the ultimate truth is that Jesus knew that we were all going to fail. And because of that, God had to send his only begotten son, and now anyone who has Christ living on the inside of them, they have freedom not to sin, not to do wrong, not to say, Okay, I have freedom, now I have a license to sin. That is not what freedom looks like. What freedom is, is knowing that when we do make a wrong choice, the Holy Spirit will come and will say to us, I think this is the necessary course that you need to take. And when you come to God, he will never reject you, he will always be with you, and the reason why I say the Holy Spirit says I think, is because he will never force himself on us, he will never force us to make that right decision, he will leave that decision up to us, because God is a God of choices, he gives us a choice, he says you can either do good or you can do bad, either you can stay on course or you can stay off the course, but the choice is up to us, to press into God or to go away from God. The closer we go to God, the more we will be able to see the plans that God has for our lives, and we will be able to trust him. The farther away we go, we are falling into darkness, and in turn we become blinded, but thank God for the Holy Spirit who brings us back and says to us, it doesn't matter how many times you have fallen, it doesn't matter how many times you have stayed on the floor, and you had no strength to get back up, because the time and the hour will always come when the Holy Spirit says, hallelujah, I see where you are, and I am here to help you, but you got to make that choice to say I'm going to walk in the freedom Jesus has given me, and I'm going to start taking those baby steps that will eventually start to turn into big steps, leading on to your destiny, our God is a mighty God, and he wants us to understand one thing, that not one of us can live up to the law, which is why Jesus came to fulfill the law. So if you find yourself in a pattern of going around and around and around, cry out to God right now, ask the Holy Spirit for help, and God in his eternal mercy and grace, he will extend his arms, and he will reach down, and he will rescue you, hallelujah, God is the God of opportunity, God is saying to us right now, I see where you are, I know what you've gone through, but I'm still here, because my son, the sacrifice that he did on the cross was good enough for me to now say anyone found in Christ is free, I will see them through, hallelujah, until I call them home, because they are washed in the blood of Jesus, they are marked and sealed with the Holy Spirit, oh my God, my God, my God, I can feel the Holy Spirit saying there is somebody out there who is suicidal, I want to let you know that God said no, don't do it, because the plans that I have for your life, they are plans to prosper you, they are plans to give you a future and a hope, just believe in what my son Jesus Christ did on the cross, turn away from everything else, and turn toward me, because I am here to rescue you, I am here to bring salvation to you and your family, hallelujah, thank you Jesus, I want to let you know in this day, there is freedom, freedom, not like the world portrays freedom, but freedom that only comes through the sacrifice that Jesus made for us on Calvary's cross, oh I pray that this message has blessed your heart, many blessings to you all, and until the next time, keep speaking the name of Jesus, bye-bye for today.
