The speaker discusses the prohibition of women teaching the word of God. They mention that this prohibition is explained in the scripture and provide two reasons for it. The first reason is that Adam was formed before Eve, and the second reason is that Eve was deceived and caused Adam to sin. They also point out that throughout the Bible, there are no women in positions of authority in the ministry of God. However, women are not prohibited from witnessing or exercising spiritual gifts. The speaker encourages women to submit to God's will and teach through their behavior rather than words. They conclude by saying that if women want to teach the word of God without offending Him, they should consider 1 Peter 3:1. Welcome to our weekly presentation. Thank you for joining me. Thank you for your patience. My name is Dylan Lora, Servant of God, Servant of Jesus Christ. In the scripture, women have been strictly forbidden to teach the word of God. God explains this prohibition. Praise the Lord. In the creation story, the Bible emphasizes that man and woman were treated the same way by God. But what happened there suddenly, God took such a drastic prohibition to preach against women. And so, the Lord Jesus said in 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse 12, But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have authority over a man, but to be in quietness. Why can't a woman who is consecrated to God teach or preach the gospel? Again, why have women been strictly forbidden to teach? First, to answer this question, we will read Genesis chapter 3 verse 12. And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the three, and I did it. Question, who pushed the man to do what he did? Well, it was a woman. Further in Genesis chapter 3 verse 17, it is written, And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the three, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it, because it is the ground for thy sake. In sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the day of thy life. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Genesis chapter 3 verse 17 is telling us that when one falls in sin, it is because he allows himself to be influenced by the woman. And God disapproves of this behavior of the man. So this is what happened in Genesis. Now let's look at what the Apostle Paul says in the New Testament. We will read the first Timothy chapter 2 from verse 11 to 14. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. And I do not permit a woman to teach, nor to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 4. Adam was formed first, then Eve. Shows the reason. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived has fallen into disobedience. Second reason. These are the two reasons why women are not allowed to teach the word of knowledge. I will repeat the reasons again. First, God states that Adam is the first one to be formed. Then Eve. It's not Eve that was formed first, but it was Adam. That's the first reason. We should keep in mind that Eve was not of the original creation. It was after God created everything that He took woman from man. Woman was a derivative of man. Now second reason. God is saying that it was not Adam that deceived, but it was the woman being deceived was in the transgression and she caused the man to sin. These are the two major reasons why Jesus never commissioned women to preach or to teach. Now we need to take that further. We notice that in the story of the Bible, there have been no women in the ministry of God. For example, in the Old Testament, God called Moses to serve Him, but Moses was not alone. Beside Him, there were 70 elders and leaders of Israel. We notice that among the 70 elders, there were no women. Numbers chapter 11 verse 16 to 30. Now when Jesus came on earth, He chose His apostles, but still there was no woman among the apostles of Christ. Oddly enough, there was even a demon, but not a woman. It was Judas. Judas answered the disciple, Have not I chosen you, twelfth, and one of you is a devil? John chapter 6 verse 70. When we hear Jesus talk like this, it is as if He preferred to deal with demons rather than women. In other words, God would rather deal with a fast preacher than with a woman. Why? Well, I couldn't say with certainty, but I can imagine that it is because first of all, at least, the fast preacher is a man, and on this point, he meets the condition. Some might think that it is because the woman is of a weak spirit that God did not allow her to teach. No, it would be wrong to think like that. The reason is that, at the very beginning, the woman was not able to stand firm to the test of the world that God has given from the Garden of Eden, but, on the contrary, she has displayed an attitude of compromise and weakness toward the Word of God. Now what about authority? In 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse 12, Jesus says, But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have authority over a man. To have authority over a man. What authority is this? Does God mean that the woman will have the power of decision over man? Can the woman play the role of a police officer in the household or community? Is she going to coordinate and manage everything while the man becomes a yes-man? I don't think that's what God means in this context. First of all, we must know that the power of God animates everyone who is committed to Christ, whether the person is a woman or a man. It is this power that makes the believer go spiritual. I am not talking about that. I am talking about the Word that we preach. It is the power that confers authority to those who exercise it. The Word of God is that authority, praise the Lord. We should know that the Word of God is also called the key of the Kingdom of God, or the key of knowledge. Look at Mark chapter 11, verse 52. In fact, in both the Old and New Testaments, King Jesus symbolized power and authority. We have that authority through the faithful proclamation of the Gospel. And all those who faithfully preach and teach the Gospel are able to exercise this power under the authority of Jesus Christ himself. When Jesus says, I permit not a woman to have authority over a man, he means I don't permit you to proclaim or to teach the Gospel of salvation, exercising thereby my power over men when they are gathered in my name. That's what Jesus wants to say. God explains this very well by saying, let your women keep silence in the church, for it is not permitted unto them to speak, but they are commanded to be under obedience as also said the law. 1 Corinthians chapter 14, verse 34. We could clearly see that the Apostle Paul repeats the same instruction to the church in Corinth. Conclusion. Conclusion. You give the healing and grace our hearts always hunger for. Oh, our hearts always hunger for. Praise the Lord. But, I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have authority over a man, but to be in quietness. These are the instructions of the Lord Jesus. The final point is that men are allowed to preach not because they are better than women. They are not better than women because they are all under sin as much as women. God is God and he knows why he wants it that way. Let's understand that God made no distinction between men and women. The Apostle Paul says, there is neither male nor female, for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians chapter 3, verse 28. When the Lord Jesus says, it is expected that anyone aspiring to be a preacher, be a man, he implies that women will not be able to. 1 Timothy chapter 3, verse 2. Friend, in this message, we showed why women are not called unto the ministry of the Lord. Although 1 Timothy chapter 2, verse 12 and all parallel verses prohibit women from preaching or teaching, they are not prohibited from witnessing or exercising the gift of 1 Corinthians chapter 12. 4. Doing this does not put women in a position of authority over men. To finish, I would like to exhort those women who continue to teach the word of God that they are not impressing God in anything but are provoking his wrath. Please submit yourself to the will of God. 5. For God has given you another means by which you can make his will known to those around you. Your behavior. Yes, your behavior is the means that God gives you to make known his will to other people. 6. The apostle Peter says, Ye wives, be in suggestion to your own husbands, that, even if any obey not the word, they may, without the word, be gained by the behavior of their wives. 1 Peter chapter 3, verse 1. See, you can still teach the word of God through your behavior, not through word. Praise the Lord. So, if you necessarily want to teach the word of God without offending God, please consider 1 Peter chapter 3, verse 1. Well, this is the end of today's message. If God wills, we will be together next time. Abundant blessings. Shalom. Oh, yes. Oh, yeah.
