The speaker discusses the importance of arranging the Lord's house, which refers to our lives. They emphasize the need to separate from sin and obey God's law in order to be a temple of God. Many people claim to be Christians but still engage in sinful behavior, lacking true transformation. The speaker warns against returning to sin after professing faith in Christ, comparing it to a dog returning to its vomit. They encourage listeners to reflect on their conduct and obey God's law, so that Jesus and God can make their home with them. WELCOME TO OUR WEEKLY ADVERTISEMENT THANK YOU FOR JOINING ME THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME My name is Zizanu, Servant of God, Servant of Jesus. Our today's exhortation is entitled, This is the time for the Lord's house to be arranged. It happens at least also all of us to have everything dirty and mixed up in our houses. Not because we are not aware of it, but because we don't have enough time to clean up. Everything is upside down till the day someone knocks on your door and doesn't know what to do. It is in this context that we will approach our today's exhortation entitled, This is the time for the Lord's house to be arranged. In the biblical sense, the word house is a common picture of a human being. A house is our life. A human being is thought of as a house. The question I want to ask is who is going to make his house with you? God or the devil? You know, disobedience does not promote healthy cooperation with God. In John 14, Jesus says, If any man obeys my word, my Father and I will come to him, and we will make our home with him. This means we are going to be the temple of God or we are going to be the synagogue of the unclean spirits depending on our obedience or our disobedience. Now, how do we arrange the Lord's house? We arrange God's house by arranging ourselves, by obeying the law of God. That law is the law of separation and transformation. In 2 Corinthians chapter 6 verse 17, this is what the Apostle Paul said to the Corinthians and to us today. Wherefore, come out from among them, and be ye separate, said the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you. In this verse, the Apostle Paul is calling us to get out of the impure environment of Gentiles and to separate from sin. We all agree that as children of God, we have made the choice to leave the world of the power of darkness to the kingdom of the Son of God. The observation is that many are in the kingdom of God but are not separated from their sin. They are not separated from evil. Quite often, we respond to the solicitations of the flesh instead of building our house on the rock like Jesus says in Matthew chapter 7 verse 24. It is true that we are in the kingdom of God but we don't put our lives upon the teaching of Jesus. On the contrary, some return to their old way of life. The reality is that many have come to Jesus Christ but are not ready to undergo a profound transformation in their sinful nature. We find it hard to forget the pleasure that sin brought us. We are with Jesus but we still long for the pleasure of living in evil. You know, the problem with God is not death, we sin, but the evil is death. We don't want to turn away from it. It is a sad spiritual truth to know that even after professing a good profession, even after being baptized in the Lord Jesus, we have no Christian qualities. The Apostle Peter draws our attention to a sad biblical truth that there are individuals who, even if they call themselves Christians, are in no way different from unbelievers. That's the reality. They do everything a Christian does. But they have a fundamental problem. Their nature has not been transformed. Their old nature, perverted and deprived, never left them. The Apostle Peter calls them dogs and sows. He says, but it happened unto them according to the true proverb, the dog is turned to his own vomit again, and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. The dog and the sow, in this verse, are characterized by their uncleanliness. Dogs and swine symbolize Christians whose nature has never been regenerated. Like a dog who eats what he vomits, and the sow that is washed and who returns to the mire. The dog's vomit here symbolizes the heinousness of sin. This is exactly what we are spiritually when we return to sin after confessing faith in Christ. Is that how you want it? If not, then you can change. Only then will Jesus and his Father come to you and make their home with you. Friend, the time for the Lord's house to be arranged, to be cleaned is now. The time for the Lord's house to be built is today. We will conclude this message by saying this. When we build our lives on garbage piles, God cannot stay with us even if we are in his kingdom. But by obeying and keeping his law, we are building our house on the rock who is Jesus Christ. Please, consider your ways and thoughtfully reflect on your conduct. If God rules over your life, then you should put your own life in order. Let's not be stiff-naked because the kingdom of heaven is serious. Let's get serious so that God takes us seriously. Let's not judge ourselves unworthy of everlasting life. Turn to God, obey his law, and the Lord Jesus and his Father will come and make their home with you. Praise the Lord. I hope you enjoy this message. This is the end. I will see you next Sunday. God willing. Shalom. Shalom. Shalom.
