Twitter is criticized for being the worst social network due to its negative aspects: hate speech, misinformation, and addiction. The platform's herd effect causes popular tweets to influence opinions and spread toxicity. Twitter's engagement allows misinformation to thrive, and hate speech is generated through endless conflicts. The platform's lack of punishment for these issues sustains its toxicity. Twitter needs these problems to survive and worsen. The speakers advise staying away from Twitter. Twitter is the worst social network out there. What for what reason? Simple, it manages to gather all the worst factors of a social network. Hate speech, misinformation, high addiction rate. On this platform, everything spreads quickly. Passing on any information is very easy. Expanding misinformation is very easy. Expanding hate is very easy. And you already understand, don't you? This is all due to the herd effect, where a tweet that receives a lot of engagement influences and polarizes an opinion on the subject. After all, the more reach, the more people are affected. This is how the herd effect occurs. Individuals in a group react in a similar way to a situation, but spontaneously, without any planned direction. And that's how the toxicity of this platform occurs. It only takes someone with a lot of engagement to express themselves and everyone will think according to the famous person's opinion. Seeking engagement as well. Generation and ever increasing snowball. As mentioned earlier, Twitter engagement is simple huge, which brings us to the second point of the video. Misinformation. It is possible to find everything including a page called Shock. One of the largest on the network. Posting anything in search of repercussions. If Twitter followed these guidelines, none of these problems would be so evident and the social network would not be the lawless that it is today. But that's not how the band plays around here.
