God and Creation

In 2024, a show called The Vine focuses on God's love. The host is excited for the new year and plans to discuss the 8 doctrines of salvation. Before diving into that, they explore the question of why salvation is necessary for humanity and the world. They emphasize that God is a creator who is distinct from His creation but still involved and cares for it. They highlight that God is good and that Jesus showed us the image of God by doing good. The main idea is that God is creative, distinct from His creation, involved with it, and good. Good evening God's people, it is 2024 and the show is called The Vine where we talk about God's love divine. I am very excited for this new year because it presents a new opportunity, new possibilities, just new triumphs in our walk of faith. So I am very excited for the Word, I am very excited for the work of God, I am very excited for the hand of God over our lives and I trust 2024 is just going to be the approved and acceptable year of the Lord where we see great exploits, hallelujah. So this year I have a great desire to just delve in and go deep into the fundamentals of salvation. I have expressed previously that I greatly desire for us to have a strong foundation in salvation. So this year we are going to do a series on the 8 doctrines of salvation. So I am very excited about that but before we start with the 8 doctrines of salvation I think the biggest question to ask is why do we need salvation? Why is salvation necessary for us and who needs salvation? Is it all humanity, some humanity, is it only humans or does the world need salvation? So in order to answer that question I think obviously we need to dive back into the beginning. But before we get into the Word I just want to pray as we are about to share the Word of God. Father we just thank you and we thank you for your presence Father in this place where there is no time, distance or space between us as we share your Word. And Father we thank you that you say we are two or more gathered, there you are in their midst. And Father God we just believe that today you are here, you are in our midst and as we speak your Word oh God I pray that your Word be breathed by your Holy Spirit, that I may be under the influence and the unction of the Holy Spirit. Father that I may only speak your Word, nothing added and nothing removed from it. And I pray Father God for those who will hear the Word. I pray that their ears be circumcised Father with the blood of Jesus, that their ears Father God are receptive and they hear. And I pray Father God that their hearts Father God are receptive and they understand your Word. Father God I pray that your Word will take root and grow and bear much fruit, 30, 60 and even 100 fold to those who hear and receive it. Father God I thank you for new revelation, knowledge that will flow and be imparted upon the Word I'm about to share Father in the mighty name of Jesus. And I thank you Father God that revelation will be imparted in the hearts that will receive Father God today in the name of Jesus, Amen. So let's get straight to it. In order to understand why mankind needs salvation and whether it is only mankind or the entire world, I think we need to go back to the beginning and understand the story or the history of creation. So we all know the book of Genesis very well and for today I just want to dive into God and His creation. That is the title God and His creation. So Genesis 1.1 it says, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, 2. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of the Lord was hovering over the face of the waters. Verse 3 it says, Then God said, Let there be light, and there was light. And God saw the light, and that it was good. And God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. So the evening and the morning were the first day, Amen. Then God said, Let there be firmament in the midst of the water, and let it divide the waters from the waters. I'm going to go to verse 9, And then God said, Let the waters and the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear. And it was so. And God called the dry land earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called seas. And God saw that it was good. So I want you to see the trend, and we see the trend after everything God creates, is that after all His creation, He utters the words, And God saw that it was good. So this is key in us understanding something. And so there are key things I want us to take from God and His creation. First of all, God is a creator. God is creative. He is a creative God in His nature. He is a God who comes into a situation and creates. That is the nature of God. He is a creator, therefore it means He is distinct and separate from His creation. And it is very important to understand that, because sometimes when we view or we perceive or we presume or assume who God is, sometimes we mix Him into His creation. We think that God is bound by time, that God is bound by circumstances of His creation. But God is outside of His creation. He is not in, He is distinct and separate. But no matter how distinct and separate He is from creation or His creation, He is very much involved in it. Why do we say this? Because the word says, He looked and saw that it was good. He looks and sees. So looking implies that God inspects what He does. He cares for what He does. That is why the scriptures write that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, meaning when He made us, it was not haphazardly, it wasn't an accident, it wasn't a mistake, but it was thoughtfully. It was a thoughtful God who thought thoroughly about what He is doing. And out of that fearfulness, so He fearfully made us, out of reverence He made us. He didn't just make us for the sake of making us. So it doesn't matter how you look, whether your nose is misshapen, whether you don't have the perfect body, it doesn't matter what shape or form you look or where you come from, God fearfully and wonderfully made you. He thoughtfully made you. He had a process of thinking as He was forming you in your mother's womb. So no matter how distinct and separate He is from His creation, He is very much involved and concerned about it. Amen? That is why the word says that He numbers the hairs on our heads. So for Him, it is not just I created, but I am part of my creation in a sense of I am involved. Amen? So God is creative, He is the creator, meaning He is distinct and apart from His creation. But number three, He is very much involved with His creation. He very much cares for His creation. That is why in Psalms 8, the word says that the angels gather and they ask, Who is man that you are so mindful of him? The word mindful means that God's mind is full of thoughts of you. He is constantly, day in and day out, thinking about you. And what are those thoughts? Jeremiah 29, 11 tells us, He says, The thoughts I have towards you are not to harm you, but to prosper you and to give you an expected end. So constantly, day in and day out, night in and night out, God has thoughts, His thoughts, His mind is full of you, and those thoughts are to what? Prosper you and give you an expected end. So that is the first thing I want us to understand, and that is the element where we understand God. The fourth thing there we want to understand in the understanding God part is that if His creation and everything He created was good, it implies that He is good. We understand that God is love, meaning God does not possess love, God does not do love, but He is the very embodiment of love, meaning all He can do and all He is, is love. Meaning what comes forth from Him can only be good. He is goodness personified. He is the very manifestation and personification of goodness. That is who God is. God is good, and that is why when Jesus came into the world as a physical representation of God, the Bible says that in Hebrews 1.3, He is the express image of God, the radiance of His glory. So what did Jesus do? The Bible tells us, He says, everywhere He went, He went around doing good. He says how God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and He went around doing good. So all Jesus did was good, therefore all God can do is good, because Jesus is the express image, the direct image of God, amen, and the radiance of His glory. So Jesus came on earth as a physical representation to show us the very image of who God really is, and what He did was always good, only good, and that is the express image of God. So God is what?
