A group of six men traveling in a Toyota Tarago had an accident on Hill Highway last night. Two passengers died at the scene and two others were flown to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is being investigated. The driver and another passenger are assisting the police. The group was returning from a tournament in Canberra. The number of deaths on state roads has decreased compared to last year. The accident happened around 11 o'clock last night on the Hill Highway north of Vanilla. The group of six men aged in their 20s and 30s was traveling south in a Toyota Tarago when the accident occurred. Their vehicle left the road and rolled several times before coming to a stop. Emergency service found two of the passengers dead at the scene. Two other passengers were flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Surgeon Rohan Kordes from Victoria Place says the major collisions unit is investigating. But at this stage it's a little early to say what's caused the crash, but we'll be exploring all different avenues. It's quite a sad, sad time for the families involved in this. The driver and another passenger were taken to a hospital nearby. They are assisting police with their investigation. It's understood the group were members of the Melbourne Cheese Club and were returning from the tournament in Canberra. The death hit the state roads 2-66, 11 fewer than the same time last year.
