Kimberly Dale, a guest on the "Hungry for What?" podcast, shares three steps to becoming your own boss. The first step is setting a goal and creating opportunities. Vision boards can help envision the necessary steps. The second step is discipline and prioritizing oneself. Taking simple but smart baby steps leads to becoming a risk taker. The third step is taking action and executing the plan. Kimberly encourages taking risks and not letting "no" discourage you. She ends with a quote from Michael Jordan and invites listeners to tune in again tomorrow. Good morning, good morning, good morning. Thank you all for joining me this morning on Hungry for What? Get up and get it. This is your girl, Kimberly Dale, hanging out with my boss man, Dr. Hollers, from the Business and Technology class at the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! Well, today, I got the pleasure of being invited back to my alma mater, the Montgomery County High School. Go Eagles! The senior class there invited me to do my podcast on becoming my own boss. I'm going to tell them three simple steps on how to get them there. First, you must set a goal. Opportunities don't just happen. You must create them. Vision boards are great to have. There's something that you can use a great resource and tool to be able to take those steps that are needed, not to take the steps, but to envision the steps that you're going to need. You've got to be motivated when you're doing this. You've got to be disciplined. And with discipline, it becomes your way of life. Plan too. Plan. You've got to prioritize yourself. That's something I try to do daily. You can't rush yourself to do things. You can't take your time and be slow food. You've got to get a good and easy pace. Figure out which directions are best to take. Take simple but smart baby steps. And this process is when you become the risk taker. That's right. Risks are necessary. How else would you know if something doesn't or does work otherwise? Take no for an answer. I said that. Take no. No only means that the next opportunity is awaiting for you. Let's get on it. It's time to execute. That's the third thing. Let's go. Time to get this thing on. Michael Jordan once said, you miss 100% of shots you do not take. That's all I have for today. Thank you all for tuning in. And remember, same place and same time tomorrow morning. And as I always say, don't meet me there, beat me there. Until then, I'm out. Soundstripe.
