The first slide is a little personal message, advice to myself. Things are going to happen that you might not understand, but they unfold into something beautiful. The hurts, the buffs, and the heartaches you will experience are preparing you for something bigger. Keep your faith and trust the journey. Stay true to yourself. Don't take life or those you love for granted. Life is short. Enjoy the ride. Make every day count. Preparing to take turns, when preparing to take turns, opening, I always did the salad, which were very easy, and now I wish I would have had the chance to do other things. I've always seen people do the soups. I never got the chance to do soups. I did it like one time, but I did it wrong. I would have liked to learn how to do the soups. When I was in food, Mrs. Murray told me to put the soups into the warmer, but me, Damon, put them in the wrong order because we never done it. Like I just said, I wish I would have learned how to do that. The advice I would give is to explore more than just the easy things. Just do more. Next slide is the union labs. During these years, I've done pretty good on labs. The only thing I wish I would have did is been there. I do try my best to be at school, but somehow life gets in the way. Very true. Very hard for me to be at school sometimes. The first year was kind of hard, but the knife skills were the best skills I've learned because now I teach others knife skills that I've learned in food. I'm pretty bossy when it comes down to teaching people stuff. Also, when I made ramen noodles into a fancy dish, it was one of my favorites that I did in Mr. Grabber's class. The advice I would give myself is to have passionate cooking. It would be fun and always be there to have that fun experience and that passion for cooking. My likes, dislikes, and secrets. I always like working in the tiny chairs because it gave me that working experience that I always wanted. Plus, I always like cooking even before taking a class. I like doing salads, and filling the dressings, and waitressing. The only thing I didn't like is when the dish machine was broken, worst time in food, honestly. Because I had to hand wash all my things, which took me longer than usual. And my favorite station was dish machine because it was very easy and I'm so glad I never had to break compartments because people made it seem like it was so hard. I don't have any secrets, I just go with the flow. Important food safety, life skills is most important to know, so you know how to hold a knife while walking with one, and also so you won't cut yourself or anyone else. Very important temperature control, also most people burn things, so it's important you know how high your heat is supposed to be. The temperature of food is extremely important in ensuring that the food is safe to eat and you must ensure that the food is always cooked, cooled, chilled, or reheated properly to minimize the risk of harmful levels of bacteria in the food. Cross contamination is very important because preventing cross contamination is a key factor in preventing foodborne illnesses. Sanitation is super important to prevent pathogens and bacteria. Washing your hands, very important because you touch everything with your hands, you touch your door knob, your dirty phone, everything, you need to wash your hands. Foods, three when I was in management, good communication is key while being in charge, being a good listener because you need to listen to the problem or listen to anything that needs to be solved, so that you want the best for your team by prioritizing their aspirations when possible and taking responsibility when you fall short, and being a team player even though you are in charge, you still have a team you work with, so you need to work with that team, get along with that team, even though you are the boss. Making it patiently, my experience was pretty good, I enjoyed making the piping bag skills was hard for me, something about it just was harder than I expected it to be, it is very hard, you have to squeeze it a couple of ways, different. I liked all the competitions we did, I loved the creativity everyone had, making things. Overall, I liked the class, it was fun and a good learning experience, overall I loved foods all four years, I was excited to do foods in middle school, I learned so much and did so much, this class gave me so, gave me working experience, this is a class I would recommend for everyone to take.
