The main idea of this information is that in times of trouble, instead of hiding or seeking alternative solutions, one should turn to prayer. The story of Hezekiah in the Bible is used as an example of how he took his problem to God in prayer and was victorious. The speaker emphasizes the power of prayer and encourages listeners to take their problems to God and trust Him to handle them. The importance of thanking God before and after receiving the answer to prayer is also highlighted. The speaker assures that no problem is too big for God and that His protection is available to those who are obedient to Him. The program concludes with an invitation to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. You are listening to Joe Radio. Radio. Listen. Advertise. Share. Good day. Welcome to Joe Radio Live. This program is entitled, In Times of Trouble, Don't Go Into Hiding, Go Into Prayer. Topic of this program, In Times of Trouble, Don't Go Into Hiding, Go Into Prayer. We are going to get into Yohitia Scripture and Yohitia Scripture is actually our foundation scripture for this short message. It comes from 2 Kings chapter 19 verses 14 first and verse 19. Alright. Verse 14 and 19. So we are going to start from 14. Alright. So verse 14 says, Anhezekiah received a letter of the hand of the messengers and read it. And Anhezekiah went up into the house of the Lord and spread it before the Lord. Verse 15. Anhezekiah prayed before the Lord and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwelleth between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. Thou hast made heaven and earth. Alright. And we are heading down to verse 19. Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only. Alright. So that was Yohitia Scripture. Basically it's 2 Kings chapter 19 verse 14 and 19. Alright. Now, to help you understand for those who don't know. Excuse me. There was a king that was coming up against Hezekiah. Hezekiah was a king in the Bible, in the Old Testament. And there was a king coming up against him. And not just against him, but against his God. Alright. And he sent him a letter. Apparently the king had been victorious in previous battles. So he sent him all that information in the letter, basically saying who can withstand him and all of that. And so basically he was flying in the face of Hezekiah and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And so Hezekiah, when he received the letter, he went before God and he prayed and everything. Now, whenever we have a problem, this is what we are supposed to do. Hezekiah had a problem. And he took the problem to God. You know the old people used to say, and I believe they still do, take it to the Lord in prayer. For those of you familiar with that, take it to the Lord in prayer. I grew up with that, hearing that kind of thing. And it is so very true. Hezekiah had a problem and he took it to the Lord in prayer. And God answered. And they were victorious. You see, some of us, when we have a problem, we run and hide. We run and hide. We look for alternative solutions to the problem. Well, what we are supposed to do is use this format that Hezekiah had. He had a problem. He took the problem to God in prayer. There is a scripture, I can't remember the scripture, but there is a scripture that says, Everything by prayer and supplication, make your requests known unto God. It is in the New Testament. And this is what we are supposed to do. And what tends to happen to some of us, not all of us, some of us, when we have a problem, because we allow ourselves to focus so much on the problem and be overwhelmed by the problem, especially if it is something that came up upon us suddenly. We weren't expecting it. We weren't looking out for it. And this just hit us like a ton of bricks, as they say. And so, the shock of the situation causes us to lose our judgment and not think properly. Some of us, to lose our judgment and not think properly and stuff like that. But what we are supposed to do, it doesn't matter what the problem is. It doesn't matter how big the problem is. It doesn't matter how serious the problem is. The same format is supposed to apply. Everything by prayer and supplication, make your requests known unto God. You have a problem, whatever it may be, whoever it may be, you take it to the Lord in prayer and you leave it there. Because one of the mistakes a lot of us make is sometimes we take something to God in prayer and sometimes we think God is taking too long. And so, we put it in God's hands, but because we find it taking too long, we take it out of His hands and then we want to go and do our own thing. And then we mess up the whole situation and make it worse. So, my word of advice in this short message is whatever you're facing today, whatever your problem is, wherever your problem is, there's no distance in prayer. So, if your problem is, if you are in Trinidad and your problem is in the U.S., there's no problem, right? The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. God is omnipotent, He is everywhere at the same time. So, while He is dealing with my problem, He is dealing with your problem at the same time and He is dealing with the entire world at the same time. That is how powerful the God that we serve, the God of the universe, the Almighty God, the one true living God, the Yahweh God, that is how powerful He is. The devil cannot be everywhere at the same time. The devil is a created being. God is not a created being. God always was, always is and always will be. And so, because of His omnipotence, He can handle all of my problems, all of your problems, all of your neighbor's problems, all of your family's problems, at the same time. At the same time. That is one of the awesomeness of God. So, whatever problem you are facing today, you don't have to sweat, you don't have to buckle under the pressure and all that kind of thing. Use the same format. Take it to the Lord in prayer and leave it there. Right? Hence the reason I titled this program. In times of trouble, don't go into hiding, go into prayer. Go into prayer. If you are already in prayer, go into more prayer. The Bible says, pray without ceasing. Go into more prayer. Right? And while you are praying, you are thanking God. You are thanking God. The Bible says, in everything give thanks. You are thanking God. You pray, you ask God for something, believe that. The Bible says, believe that whatever things you ask for, when you pray, believe that you have received it and it shall be granted. So, when you pray and you ask God for something, according to His will, according to His will, you are thanking Him for it. Even though you haven't seen it as yet, you are thanking Him for it. You are thanking Him before you get it and you are thanking Him after you get it. Right? And, Hezekiah was successful. He took his problems to God. He took the letter that they sent. Right? Maybe you have a debt situation. Maybe you have bill collectors sending you all kinds of letters and stuff like that. And, you know, right? Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do like Hezekiah. Lay it out before the Lord. You have a water rate. You have a light bill. You have a car payment. A letter from the car company that you might be owing or whatever it may be. Right? If you have documentation for your problem, lay it out before God. And, do the same thing that Hezekiah did. Pray and ask God to help you and to bring you through this and to solve this problem. And, watch God do it. Watch God do it. Watch God turn your problem into a testimony. Allow God to turn your problem into a testimony. He has done it time and time again in my life and in millions of people's lives. And, He can do it for you. Whatever the problem is, it may be a life and death situation. Right? You may have... Maybe the doctors gave you a certain time to live. Right? And, you may have documentation and all that kind of thing for all the different exams you took. All the different tests you took. All the different medication prescriptions. All the different medication and all that sort of thing. God is more than able. God raised Lazarus. Lazarus had been dead, if I remember correctly, five days. And, the thing about it is, God could have turned to Lazarus before. But, He left. He left Him there. For a particular reason. By the time God came to Lazarus, Lazarus was thinking of the place when He told them, Roll away the stone. They say, Lord, I know you'll be smelling it. And, that is the thing. Lazarus was thinking and smelling and that didn't matter to God. That didn't matter to God. God took a corpse, decomposing corpse, and brought it back to life. What is stinking in your life today? What is so stinking, nasty, smelly, you know, that you feel God can't do nothing with that? That you feel God can't do nothing for you because you feel you're too far gone? If you're listening right now and it's a suicide case, and you're thinking to yourself, maybe you had some scandal in your life or some embarrassing thing, something that brought you to the point of depression and then suicide, and so now you're contemplating suicide and you figure, you know what? There's no reason to live. There's nothing for me. Again, the devil is a liar. There is no situation in your life where you are too far gone. Even if you feel you sell your soul to the devil, God could still save you. I ain't saying it will be easy, but it can be done. God is the God of the impossible. So, it matters not what your situation is. They put a hit on your life, God can handle you. God could protect you. God could keep you. And before I close this, as a child of God, as a child of God, once we're obedient to God, and we walk in right with God, protection is part of the covenant with God. Protection is part of our covenant with God. A covenant is a promise. And protection is part of our covenant with God. Once we do our part, believe you me, God will definitely do His. And so, before I close this program, if you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I want to encourage you to accept Him into your life right now. Just say, Lord Jesus, I come to you as sin. I repent of all of my sins. I ask of your mercy and your forgiveness. Come into my life. Do for me what I cannot do for myself. I make you, Lord Jesus, my Lord and Savior from this day forth. In Jesus' name I pray. If you said that prayer genuinely, meant it from your heart, welcome to the body of Christ, and welcome to the beginning of your new life. You are reborn, basically. When you make that commitment to give your life to Jesus, all things are passed away. All things have become new. You are a new creature in Christ. That's why they use the term born again, because you are spiritually born again. Alright, so I want to thank you, as always, for listening. I pray that something that I would have said would have really been a blessing to you and would have really positively impacted and affected your life. Until the next one, J.C. Vibes is gone, as I always tell you, don't just exist, but be a blessing. And remember, in times of trouble, don't go into hiding. Go interpret.
