Keyword_search: driving, radio station, Western Massachusetts, practice, son-in-law, spped car racer Question_content: Questioner: You said when you get in the car, you know, you just drive. But isn't there different ways to drive? I know in my own life, just relatively recent, I used to be constantly trying to get a good radio station on, and oh, I'm up in western Massachusetts, I can't get reception. Then all of a sudden, I just realized who even needs the radio on? I could sit, and drive, and be in the sounds, and the sensations and then it's part of my practice. Not to say that listening to something could not be part of practice. But is there difference between different modes of driving, et cetera, et cetera? Larry: Sure, but look, there's rough standards that you can use. One person can be an excellent driver driving. For example, our son in law, he drives extremely fast. And I feel totally safe with him. He's done a lot of driving. He was even a speed car racer when he was very, very young. I feel totally safe. He's extremely competent, very… he kind of disappears into the wheel. It's one of his favorite things to do in life. And there are people who drive very slowly. I can't wait to get out of the car. Now so, the test would be a pragmatic one. If you can listen to music, and drive, that's fine. But now, as you know, we're being discouraged from there are people who are… coffee and music and texting and driving, with one hand. So I don't want to legislate, as if I could, how you should drive, but you have to figure out what the best way for you to drive, which is effective to get where you're going, but also safe. So if that's what you've concluded, and that's a good way for you to drive, sure. End_time: 00:52:33
