The speaker reflects on their final project for their master's program. They discuss how the project allowed them to thoroughly explore the curriculum and consider ways to improve their teaching methods. They created a website to house all the necessary materials for their students, with the goal of integrating science and ELA. They emphasize the importance of meeting the needs of all students, including those with individualized education plans. The speaker also mentions their use of universal design for learning and the SAMR model to enhance learning effectiveness. They plan to gather feedback from students and continue evolving the website as a resource. The speaker expresses gratitude for the tools and support provided by the program and looks forward to sharing ideas and learning from their colleagues. Overall, they found the project enjoyable and valuable for their teaching practice. Hello, thank you for joining me for part two of my reflection. Now that I'm looking back at the end of this course and the end of this master's program, I wanted to take a moment to talk about what this final project has given me. Most often during the school year, we're very much scrambling to get things done. So on top of trying to teach and mark and assess and plan classroom management, staff meetings, personal commitments, I find that we're often rushed and struggling to get things done. This project has given me the opportunity to sit down, to really dive in the curriculum, to think about the things that I've done before and the things that I want to do coming up in the next school year. I set this website up as an opportunity for my students to be able to have everything housed in one place, so that when it is science slash ELA integrated time, I'll be able to just share this website and students have everything they need, I have everything that I need, and I really appreciate having the time to sit down, go over, reflect, think about my students, think about my learners, think about those kids with IPPs, think about those kids on adaptations, and to try to meet the needs of all of the students in my classroom. I really thought about universal design for learning. I thought about the SAMR model. I just thought about ways to try to make learning more effective, especially when it comes to science, because I find these subjects are the ones that I always take from when I need more time for math or I need more time for other things in the classroom, and I feel that the way I've set this up, embedding the curriculum and integrating subjects so well, that I know these outcomes will definitely, they always get taught, but I'll be able to spend the appropriate amount of time making sure students understand and have a strong concept of grade three science. I look forward to hearing back from my students this year. I'm definitely going to do reflection activity with them. I'm looking for them to be able to reflect on how they thought the website was, what things I could do differently, and this will be an ever-evolving resource for myself and for my students, and it's going to keep growing. I mean, as long as I'm in grade three, but it's going to keep going, and I hope to be able to carry this with me for a long time. Just thinking back to kind of starting this program two years ago and thinking about pre-pandemic and post-pandemic, this course, this master's program has given me a lot of different tools in my toolbox to help me meet the needs of all my learners, and I know that when I finish this program, I'm going to continue to implement a lot of the learn things. Being from Elmsdale, I'm in a unique situation where I have a lot of my colleagues and friends that are in this program with me, so I feel like we'll be able to bounce ideas and challenge each other and continue to move forward with our learning. So thank you so much for this opportunity and for making this website something that we can use and something that our students can use, and it really, it was fun. It was fun to plan this. It was fun to make this, and it was fun to make sure that it was going to meet the needs of all my learners. So thank you so much.
