How's things mate? How are you? Good. Good. So this week there's so much to cover, it's been a pretty busy day with some headlines breaking and some other bits and pieces so we will do the normal Fatlabs football run through, we'll go through some headlines, talk about the major stories within that. Obviously tomorrow is the start of the Premier League, the long awaited start of the Premier League. It feels like such a long time with no football over the summer. So we'll go through our predictions for that, so we want to go through the table predictions, our biggest surprises, our biggest flops and really kind of cover those team by team. We don't want to spend too much time on it because I think a lot of people will have a similar sort of idea or kind of a guess where people are finishing but yeah we want to kind of share our thoughts on that. Yeah, it's a great extra incentive. As if there wasn't enough, there's so much to be won. Yeah. Yep. One thing I want to mention quickly Josh is Reds made an unbelievable decision to not take a ringer and play six against seven and it paid off, they won by one goal. It was a draw on the pitch and they won overall by one goal. I was gutted, obviously you know I wasn't able to play because of the injury but stood on the sideline it was probably the most frustrating thing to not be able to help the team. But to lose by one goal, fair play to them, gamble paid off. Absolutely. I've not, yeah I've not seen anybody go for that before and it paid off so fair play. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, there we go, there's your proper, there's your corporate answer to that one isn't it? Absolutely mate, yeah you nailed it. Yeah. Yeah, everybody's seen it haven't they? I think it's a great summary mate and you're bang on, another week, another loss for everyone collectively and all moving in the right direction. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Amazing, well done. Yeah. Wow. It definitely feels like that as well though, I think there's a renewed positivity around the league and around everybody and I think for the first time, I think in the wiki message that we are now at capacity. So we are now at, for people who don't know, we're at six full teams of 11 each, is that right? So we are pushing towards hopefully extending the league into eight teams and more competition, more teams in there, get some funky team colours in there like pink maybe or something crazy and yeah, keep everybody going in the right direction and losing weight would be ideal. Oh yeah, like the palm tree one. Yeah, cool. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely. I forgot to ask, I know that you were pretty positive on how well last week went for you, I forgot to ask how you got on actually, how did you do? Hmm. Hmm. That must mean you're quite close then. Yeah, there's a little sneaky nod in there, if it didn't come last week it's got to be close this week, fair play. Yeah, don't let the cat out of the bag. Amazing, well done everyone. Yeah, so as I referenced in the intro, it's been a bit of a crazy day, there's not really much else where we can start in terms of headlines other than probably the biggest our international captain Harry Kane. It would appear that, we'll start this again because there's a motorbike going past, sorry. So if we get stuck in straight away to probably the biggest news of the day is Harry Kane. So Tottenham have accepted an offer of 100 million euros that is, 86 million pounds, I guess it works out as in that sort of region and it's been yo-yoing all day back and forth, back and forth about whether he's likely to go. I think at one point it was the fact that they accepted an offer that it was a done deal and now the rumours are that he's really considering it and really needing to take some time over it. I can't imagine the club are overly happy about the timing but inevitably they're the ones that have accepted a deal. So it's, I guess it's panic stations for everybody with FPL as well really, whether you've got him in the team or not. Deadline is tomorrow at 6 o'clock, if he's not gone by then do you keep him in, do you not? Is he going to play? Who knows? It's, from my Arsenal head I couldn't care less where he goes and I do hope he goes but from my footballing head and neutral kind of head I want him to stay in the league, I want the best players to stay in the league. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think, not to go too much into it because it's a well trodden path but I think if he had gone to City instead of Ireland he would have matched, if not scored more than what Ireland did last season and I'm pretty certain on that. I'm confident that he would have scored more with that, that forward line and that supply. No, no I guess not, probably. Yeah, absolutely. Okay, so in terms of other headlines, so in terms of the rumours, Lewis Pakata to City is an interesting one, from what I understand he's got a release course that doesn't kick in until next season so City are doing what they can to get it now as a cheaper deal, the player is obviously pushing for the move, City are going to do it again aren't they? They're going to bring in somebody that hasn't really been spoken about much and turn him into a worldie. By the looks of things he finished really well, I watched a lot of West Ham towards the end of last season and he started to really turn a corner and look to play. Max Arons, Norwich to Bournemouth, I'm not quite sure if this has been confirmed yet or not but I think that's a great signing, especially as it sounds like Adam Smith is carrying an injury. Yeah, definitely, yeah. Chelsea and Liverpool are switching who they're after, so Chelsea are now going for Lavia and Liverpool are now going for Casado, interesting development for both of those, I think Liverpool have pushed Southampton as far as Southampton were willing to be pushed on a price and Chelsea are now stepping up interest, it looks like they're missing out on Casado and going the other way which is a bit of a strange one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And you just know Brighton will let him go and then out of the woodwork will come another worldie that they'll sell in two years' time for £60 million, again, they're just so good at that, such a well-run club, one club that I really like the look of and want them to do well, something we'll come on to later I'm sure. Mbappe, what more can we say about him, it sounds like he's saying that he's going to stay, he won't be going this summer and we all know that he's basically calling the shots at that club anyway. As we were chatting earlier this afternoon, the Fred Fanabati deal has been done, two big deals for West Ham in terms of Harry Maguire going to West Ham and James Ward-Prowse, I believe that the Ward-Prowse deal was near enough confirmed and the Maguire one is just about there, I think personal terms have been agreed. I think, I'll get your opinion in a moment, but my opinion on Harry Maguire, I think it's the best possible move for him to go somewhere that there'll be a lot less attention on him because of the club that he's at. I think he needs a new lease of life, there's a player in there and I think he gets treated relatively unfairly and my oldest is, what is he, 10 and he always, when he's out playing in the garden and he mucks up or something, he's always going Harry Maguire and he's doing his silly shouting Harry Maguire in a weird way and there's something about him that he's turned into a bit of a meme and a bit of a joke and I think he needs a chance to rebuild his career and actually play football and under 10 hard he wasn't doing that. Yeah. Yeah, right. Yeah. Yeah. No. Yeah. Excellent. Bang on. And Tyler Adams to Chelsea, it looks like, I think that has been, here we go, by Fabrizio Romano. That's an interesting one. Obviously he's a yank going to Chelsea, £20 million, they don't have any central midfielders and they've got two registered, Enzo and Gallagher, so there's another one to add to it whilst they work out if they're going to have Lavia, Casedo or both or whatever they're doing with those. In terms of the done deals, there's a few that caught my eye that I just want to run past you and see what you think. Matt Turner, so interestingly in a press conference today, Steve Cooper, the Nottingham Forest manager said, we've been chasing Matt Turner for a long time, finally got over the line and I think something that we spoke about last week with David Rea, that it all starts to make sense now. I think Matt Turner instigated the move or his team instigated the move to want to be first team football and Arsenal were left going, if you go we have to get somebody in, we can't be with who we've got and the Rea deal became, obviously it was going to happen, interestingly with the Rea deal it's come out that it's actually a £3 million initial loan with an option to buy it, it's not an obligation, so he's in a position, and Arsenal are in a position that if he throws his toys out the pram after Season 1 and he's not getting enough game time or it doesn't quite work out how Arteta wants it to work, then £3 million for an unbelievable goalkeeper to sit on your bench for a year is chump changing nowadays football, so I don't know what you think about that one. Yeah, you're right. I think it's a smart move all round, what Bedford have done is they've extended his contract now, so he wasn't coming to the end of his contract, they've extended it to guarantee £36 million or whatever it is at the end of it if Arsenal choose to buy, so they've guaranteed themselves money or they've guaranteed to keep a top five goalkeeper, so win-win for them. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. Steve Cook, so this doesn't mean a lot to the Premier League side of things, but he didn't really ever get a proper chance at Nottingham Forest after leaving Bournemouth frustratingly for one reason or another, he never actually got his testimonial at AFC Bournemouth, which he thoroughly deserved, but he's now joined up with Asma Begovic at struggling QPR, so that was one that caught my attention. Livramento to Newcastle from St. St, sorry, are absolutely raking it in with transfer money, aren't they? If you think that between Livramento and Ward-Prowse, that's £70 million, if they're going to get another £40 million for Lavia and then there's a few others, I think Walker-Peters was being rumoured and a few others that might still move on, they'll certainly need the money and they need to spend it wisely, but... Well, look, if you look at who played Friday night for them, yeah? So Ward-Prowse played for them, Lavia was on the bench, I don't actually think he came on, obviously we were playing football at the time or I was watching you boys play football at the time, but I'm pretty certain he didn't play either, so... Yeah, it's interesting, I hate the fact that it, again, well trodden path, but I hate the fact that the season starts tomorrow but the transfer window remains open and prefer it to be cut and dry, but I understand why for other leagues in the world that are still open, you've got to give the Premier League the best chance of still doing business in that period. Micky van der Ven, another vander for Spurs to get behind after van der Vaart, 34 million from Wolfsburg, they also signed a striker, Velez, for 13 million, little unknown, but again, you wonder why they're signing a striker. Yeah, I think it's, I reckon at 13 million, again, referencing it as a small amount of money in the current climate is the kind of wrong thing to do, but with football in terms, that's a relative chump change for a striker to go into a Premier League team, I think that's probably a just in case, and at least they've got somebody there. Guardiola, I struggle with this bloody name, go on, Guardiola, there we go, just think of Guardiola and Guardiola, it makes sense, 77 million pound buy for Man City, again, we spoke about that last week, but that has been confirmed since. Anything else, Alex Scott to Bournemouth I think is big, big news for the club, really, really great bit of business, I know that he's carrying a knock at the moment, so everybody was talking about the fact that he wasn't playing for Bristol, he didn't play for them in the week in the Caballero Cup, he didn't play for them first game of the season, and he's likely not to be available against West Ham, unless that imaginary knock has magically healed itself by the weekend, but a really important signing for Bournemouth, especially after losing who I think was probably their most influential player in the summer in Jefferson I think it's a great signing, I love young British players getting an opportunity at Premier League level, and very much looking forward to seeing how he gets on. Obviously on the eve of the Premier League, some would call it Christmas Eve, it certainly feels like that for me, I do love my Premier League football. So I think if you're happy to, we'll start from the bottom up and see where we go. OK. Yeah. Yeah, so I've got Luton, I guess probably the other of those two that you've mentioned. I want Luton to do well, I'm excited to see how they get on and what they do, and looking forward to those cold, wet, windy, horrible nights at Kenilworth Road when teams like Spurs have to go there that are well known for their soft underbelly, and other teams like that, I think they'll turn over a few people there, but whilst it's all sunshine and happy times this time of year, I think they'll probably take a few kick-ins there, and I hope they do well, but I don't think they'll stay in the league. And I've got Sheffield United, so I think we cover both of those pretty well. Who do you have gone? Yeah. No. No. I'd like to see them prove us wrong, as long as it's not at the expense of Bournemouth, I don't really care who else goes down out of the kind of bottom half of the table that we'll discover in a minute, but I really think that you're really only looking at one if, maybe, spot for somebody to fall into, where normally you can't guarantee that they go down. I think you and I, and everybody else that's predicting the table, are thinking those two are likely to be the guaranteed ones to drop. So I presume, in 18th, you've got the same as me with Wolves? I wouldn't give them too much oxygen. But it's safe to say that he's not really going to get much backing from that team, from that home crowd. And hopefully the team can support him and do what they need to do on the pitch for him. Yeah. No. No. I think he gave a really good interview today. I've been this afternoon working from home and had Sky Sports News on in the background. It wasn't a press conference, more of an interview. He does speak well, and he's open and honest going, I understand that Bournemouth was my first proper coaching role, but I think I did well, and I think I gave enough in that for Wolves to trust me, to give me the job in the first place now, and really kick on and do well. I've been left with an absolute shit tip, and you can see why Lopetegui's left. Not very good that he's left a couple of days before the beginning of the season, but I think I'm right in thinking that he left the Portugal team halfway through a national tournament.
