The podcast hosts discuss their week and weight loss progress. They talk about sustainable ways of losing weight and the importance of a lifestyle change. Well of that ramble preamble Talking shit Right I am ready to go when you are gentlemen Welcome to lose to win the podcast with myself Jack Josh, and we have our friend Ben back welcome guys. How are you all doing? Yeah Yeah, we've missed you bud we've missed you how how was everybody how she trick-or-treating going Yeah You Amazing Yeah Yeah, we've got like a full comedy sketch of like almost sounds like a fake It's actually just been snacking on the sweet Yeah Yeah, you can't do too much damage of that Yes, right I've been out and about with the neighbor neighbor and his son and my daughter this evening We braved the weather took a couple of brollies And yeah, they came back pretty happy with some sweets and seen some seen some friends out and about which is nice as well So yeah outside of the weather being horrific. It's been absolutely fine been really good Yeah Yeah Let's say rumor has it Josh you don't need a mask Not not again Yeah, you'll get some unwanted visitors living near Ashley road mate Right I Have had a mini bag of Harry though, but other than that I've I've Refrained from digging in Yeah There we go, so my week here, I know you just asked your so last week I'd like a really focused week I think Some of the recent it's worth mentioning some of the recent guests have been been super inspiring and To the extreme in some cases and in even with Alex's it's a different story and kind of that that kind of moment of realization that you had with with Steve when he mentioned about that the Amount needed lost since joining or hasn't lost since joining It's kind of a bit of an eye-opener for me frustratingly only lost 0.4, but I was expecting more and I'm hoping there's a bit of a lag because I'm I'm back on it as well this week I'm hoping that it kind of pays dividends this week as well and just to keep chipping away at it But I don't think I've ever done anything more than about above 1.2 I I know everybody is different in terms of how you lose weight and how that all works But I've never been able to hit those like crazy numbers of like three kilograms in a week and whatever Yeah You Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah, you know I Don't know about you too, but are you are we in agreement? we think there's a sustainable way of losing weight and an unsustainable losing weight and Sometimes that number that we crave is like to get into that top ten and I swear I'm not diminishing anybody's achievements in what they've done but sometimes some of those extreme ones where they're kind of gone I've not eaten for three days and Sometimes through the joke and in other some other times people are meaning it and I I know in times that I've had not great weeks where I've had to go Christ a real it gets like Wednesday evening ago I've got consider absolutely everything that goes past my lips now even having a drink. I'm concerned about and then I've lost more by doing those weeks, but never really kind of gained anything last week was a lot more sustainable I got there and I wasn't hungry. I didn't I wasn't in a position where I've got I've starved myself to achieve this and if that means that I lose naught point four rather than One kg or 1.2 is my highest but then fluctuate Massively the week after I don't want to do that. Yeah, it's um, it certainly is new for me and as a New new group that we've that we've managed to get together in the purples and I think I think they've all fit in well as I explained I think last week on the pod and I think to you Josh it was tough for the first week because Half I think two or three of them didn't make it to the friendly week for one reason or another So last week was their first weigh-in rather than their first loss So that and we lost by a goal which was absolutely gutting based on that. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, so this week It flipped around we lost by a goal on the pitch But one overall so and I told him last week was the first time that's ever gonna happen in the week just gone That's what needs to keep happening. And that's where we are with it. And it was a it was a mad game I don't know if any hung around me with a graveyard shift and it was the weather that was certainly testing conditions to say the least and Yeah, certainly then I probably about two minutes to the end for me to Equalize I managed to hit it far too hard Standard me trying to put in the top bins and hit like the I hit the angle of the goal I had managed it the post down the crossbar and one like One sec in one here and it's just yeah That was I could have just placed I could have just passed it in and it was just one of those frustrating nights But the way did what it needed to do and what was quite nice is the new guys to see that happen Because it's all very well continuing winning on the pitch you then don't appreciate what the weight is done If you win overall, but if you lose on the pitch and you're able to turn it around by weight loss That's why staying in the games on the pitch is also really important If you're losing if you're within a couple of goals, you've always got a chance It's um, I think I think just stripping it back in and myself and Josh in communication with the guys that Manifest that HQ. I want to get somebody on there. That's been with the the organization from a from a for a long time to understand how it's evolved and how the idea came about and What difference they feel they're making in people's lives because I I think it's a big thing for just just our group and obviously now Branching out and understanding how other groups are doing. It seems seems to be really important to a lot of people but um, I think just It's just a brilliant idea I think it's there's obviously tweaks and everything that people can improve with anything they do but um, Yeah, I just think generally it's it's awesome and I'm glad Not just the fact that I get to do this once a week review boys But also now consider you two is really good friends and everybody else that I've met there as well It's it's really important and it's um, it certainly helped my mental health as well as my health for sure Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah It's our church in it Yeah You Yeah Yeah You One thing that come Yeah One thing that that I noticed a while back Mark Simpson, I think a couple of times referred to It as club. I see I don't know. I'll speak to you down at club or something and I was I didn't laugh at that but it's almost like a What a what a funny name to call it, but the more and more I think about it. He's bang on It is almost like a social club for us now in it even even more so when we're at Even more so when we're at Hanworthy going for beers after which probably was a little counterproductive But do you know I mean we had if you think in the heat of the sorry the height of summer when we were there What did we have like 20 25 Russell sat around having a beer together? Where else yet? Where else does that happen? Like other than a stag do when does that happen? Do you know I mean, so yeah, it certainly has that feel about it I'm gonna do a little bit of digging and I'll say on here So the people from Manifat Bournemouth aware I do a little bit digging a little bit of searching and see if it's possible That I might try and organize a little like Christmas get-together for everyone maybe Maybe a hand whether yeah, it's a good show as you don't think about it But just just somewhere somewhere for us all to get together I have a bit of a booze people and carry on and go out for the night I do on a Saturday night and whatever and yeah, maybe a little Maybe maybe a little Christmas get-together and kind of a away from club in inverted commas And yeah, just let especially some of the new people get used to other people away from the soccer from the soccer What's wrong me from the football you got you got a you got please edit that out? You Yeah Really I thought it was all very predictable I Think it's an achievement then I don't know if you forgot that you won the World Cup That's the first time he's done that It captained his team to the first World Cup in God knows how many years and he led that team didn't he was? everything within that No, hey that guy hated I can explain if you like so Henry winter who's the chief football writer for the Times I think He is the only person from the UK that got the vote and so what they do is they pick pick each chief football writer or most influential football writer in each country that belonged to FIFA and they all get a vote and he Cast his vote and he went with Messi and explained his reasons why I'm talk sport today actually And he did have Harland as a very strong second hence. Why I'm pretty sure everybody else did as well And you're right, I think the fact that he won the treble and and did everything else in club football I think I don't think the Ballon d'Or has got a great deal of legs left in it in its current format I think there is And if you think about all of the other prizes that were given out today like Jude's Jude got a young player or like Whatever and and then you've got like I don't think there's an individual award for a goalkeeper. I might be wrong and then And I know as always it's the goal scorer that generally gets it I know there's been a few like Luka Modric and others that aren't Yeah, yeah number nine goal scorer is all necessary like messy, but somebody does get all the goals It's never your center backs it's never your keepers really so I think I think there needs to be like almost like they do with a team of the year and Somebody in each position gets it so you've got I've got a chance of two center backs getting it you've got a chance of Wing backs getting or left backs getting or whatever that looks like I just think it's um but I It was almost predictable. I think it's almost a foregone conclusion And I think the best way to think about is he's not winning it next year is he? Playing playing it he's done now for that And I'd suggest that Ronaldo is unless Ronaldo goes and wins the euros. I think this summer or next summer I don't think there's much chance of him winning Winning it again either. I think that was kind of the passing the baton last one last night And you've got players like him back a Harland Vinicius jr. Bellingham Saka all of the Julian Alvarez all of these incredible players it's what's nice to see when they do like the rank of like 1 to 10 or 1 to 15 or whatever it looks like you Look down that list and you go that list each time it kind of generationally is getting stronger You could go through like the 15 This time 10 years ago, and you go or there's some ropey names on there that never actually did anything or or become anything within the game to Substantial you look down that list now you can have a big old battle between Bellingham Alpha Bellingham Alvarez Harland and Mbappé I would say is the top four at the moment You couldn't pin your finger on who's going to win it and it all depends on where they where they potentially move to especially something Like Mbappé.
