The broadcast is about finding resources to help children understand math. The Math Help website, ABC Math, and K-County are recommended resources. It is important to find resources that align with the child's learning standards and allow them to practice at their own pace. One recommended resource is IXL.com, which provides step-by-step lessons and practice problems. Teachers can also use IXL.com to identify areas for improvement. The next broadcast will discuss tutors and how to find one in your area. Hi, my name is Aimee Lopez, and thank you for tuning in to my broadcast today. Today's topic is knowing which resources you can use to help your child better understand math. You may be wondering how you can help your child. Well, there are many different ways that you can use to help your child, but you can use a site that I created that is called Math Help. The Math Help website contains many sources you can use. Some of the sources you may have heard of are ABC Math and K-County. These resources can help your child understand math better and learn what they need to practice at their grade level. Many children have difficult time with math, which is a tricky subject. I used to have a tough time with understanding math concepts, but I practiced with my mom and managed to nail them down the math problems easily. The main point of the broadcast is for parents should know which resources to use to help their children with math. You may be thinking that your child will understand math better in different resources than ones on Math Help, but you need to keep in mind some points that will reveal in the broadcast. Those two critical points can help you out and know which sites or apps your child needs. One point to help you see if the resources are trustworthy is if they cover the child's learning standards within the state and grade level. Once you see the sites sort aligned with the curriculum, you can use those sites to help your child with the extra help in their learning. Both sites are aligned with what your child is learning in school and is a perfect way for your child to get some extra practice. This leads to the next value point, to see if the resources are what your child needs. Make sure they will allow your child to practice and study at their own pace. Children must master the assignment within the resources. Each child must have a learning path to understand the standards. This also allows your child to work on math problems that they still cannot understand and refine on the standards that your child knows. With those two points in mind, you can find any resources that can help your child math or any subjects they are struggling with. Now I want to let you know there is a resource that can help your child that has both of these key points, and that is IXL.com, which is a learning website that can teach your child and what are they missing in their learning and help your practice skills that they need to work on the most. This website has videos that leads your child step by step to understand the lessons and the strategies that they can use to solve the problems. Other teachers in the classroom can also use IXL.com to see which areas your child needs to improve to succeed in the lesson. Well, that's all for today we have. I hope you remember the two points to see if the resource is what your child needs. Tune in next time as we go over tutors, how they can help your child and how to find one within your area.
