The radio show from Harvest Chapel International Kumasi starts with a prayer and a confession from Joshua 1:8. The devotion is titled "God Vouches for Us" and the text is from Job 16:16-19. The speaker talks about the importance of having connections and influential people in our lives. However, they remind us that as children of God, we have someone in heaven who pleads our causes for us. They give examples of biblical figures and modern-day testimonies to show how God can work miracles in our lives. The speaker encourages listeners to make God their number one advocate and ends with a prayer. Shalom Precious One, This is Radio HCI today of the Harvest Chapel International Kumasi. Thank you for participating in the Just Ended Prayer Start-Up. We are glad to have you join us again for another episode of our Morning Glory Devotion facilitating today's episode our Pastor and Mrs. Boafo. Please let's share a word of prayer. Beloved we thank you for the blessing of this new day. We pray that you will teach us your way this morning and help us to grow in our faith. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed, Amen and Amen. Beloved we want to affirm our confession together from Joshua Chapter 1 the verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success, Amen. Beloved today's devotion is titled God Vouches for Us, God Vouches for Us and our text will be taken from Job Chapter Number 16 the verse 16 through 19. We will be reading from the World's English Bible British Edition the verse 16. My face is red with weeping. Deep darkness is on my eyelids, although there is no violence in my hands, and my prayer is pure. Earth, don't cover my blood, let my cry have no place to rest. Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven. He who vouches for me is on high. Beloved, here ends the reading of the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. God Vouches for Us. Interestingly, in our world today, the term networking has gained a lot of attention and seems to be the key opening doors of opportunities for many. The concept is to have an association or mutually beneficial relationship or friendship with people of similar interests or across different scopes of life. In this case, whenever one needs help in any area, there might be a person in one's network who can readily assist. Largely, it seems everyone needs to know someone in high authority who is ready and can influence decisions in their favor. Some have powerful family names that speak for them. Some also have parents in influential places who speak for them. For others, it may be uncles and aunties, spouses, or even in-laws. When you consider such trends, there may be the tendency to be downcast, particularly if you do not know anyone in an influential position to plead your case. But hold on a moment, beloved, and consider the words of Job. In Job chapter number 16, the verse 19, he says, Even now my witness is in heaven, and the supporter of my cause is on high. Reading from the World's English Bible, he says, Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven, he who vouches for me is on high. Beloved, like Job, we as children of God must become aware that we have someone who is supreme in all things and pleads our causes for us. We are not at all disadvantaged. God himself, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the ruler of the universe and everything in it, the one seated in power on high, the one who has the hearts of men in his hands and can tend them whichever way his soul desires to favor us, his children, he is our advocate. Pleading our cause and vouching for us, he, not only is mighty, having all power to make things happen for us and to us, but is ever willing and actively pleading our causes and even the cause of his children for his purpose and pleasure. He has a track record of doing the impossible, making ways where there seems to be no way, making hopeless situations hopeful, overturning judgments, and so on and so forth. Just take a look at Sarah, the wife of Abraham, and Elizabeth, the wife of Zacharias, whose cases were condemned with no humanly possible solutions to their barrenness. When God stepped in the impossibility, it gave way to possibility, and Isaac and John the Baptist were born to them respectively. Consider Esther, a foreigner in the kingdom of King Ahasuerus, who stood no chance of becoming queen in such a foreign land. God stepped in to give her favor in the sight of Ahasuerus over all the other contestants to become king of the kingdom and later a savior to her people. Consider Mordecai, who was remembered and honored for his good deeds and had a verdict against him overruled when God stepped in to plead his cause. Beloved, in our modern times, countless testimonies have been heard of people who did not have any known human figure in influential positions but got very competitive employment opportunities. They only trusted in God to plead their case in the face of stiff opposition from others who had known human faces in those places. People have had scholarship opportunities that have blown the minds of others because their situations and cases did not make human sense to have made it through, but God was at work pleading their cases. Others have been favored in ways that whoever hears things is a dream. Beloved, these are but a few track records of God, our advocate. He is the supreme and most influential authority to have in your life. It is his character to vouch for his children, to bring them to unexpected and wonderful end. It is our prayer that you will make God your number one advocate in all of life's journey. God richly bless you. Beloved, please let's take a memory verse together from Job chapter number 16, verse 19 from the World English Bible, British edition. Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven. He who vouches for me is on high. Please let's share a word of prayer. Our Heavenly Father, we thank you for exposing us to the truth this morning, that you are ever present to plead our causes in this life. Please help us to have the assurance of your advocacy each new day. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed, amen and amen. Precious one, thank you for participating in today's morning glory devotion. There is more to come your way on Radio HCI today. Please stay tuned so you can enjoy a conducive atmosphere for your spiritual growth. Shalom and have a fruitful day. Amen.
