The morning Glory Devotion discusses the topic of pain and suffering in the context of fulfilling God's purpose. The story of Joseph is used as an example of how pain and disappointment can lead to the fulfillment of God's plan. Joseph's journey from being sold into slavery to becoming second in command in Egypt demonstrates that God can use difficult circumstances for His glory. The message encourages listeners to remain faithful and trust in God's plan, knowing that He can use even the most challenging situations to shape and fulfill their purpose. The devotion concludes with a memory verse from 1 Peter, reminding listeners that after suffering, God can make them perfect, establish them, strengthen them, and settle them. We love you, God bless you for being a part of the Just Ended Prayer Startup. I'm Francis Appiah and I'll be taking us through our morning Glory Devotion for today. Let's share a word of prayer. Our Father, who art in heaven, may your name be hallowed. We ask that you speak to us this morning, O God, through your word. And help us, O God, to be doers of the same, in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus, Amen. Let's take our confession from Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, and I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I shall make my way prosperous, and then I shall have good success. Amen. Beloved, in the past days, we have learned about catching God's plan for us and trusting Him to fulfill it. We've also learned about the inevitability of pain and suffering between the dream and its fulfillment in our life. And today, our topic is the making of champions from pain to purpose, from pain to purpose. Our scripture is taken from Romans chapter 8 verse 18. I read from the King James Version. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us, from pain to purpose. As Christians, we often struggle with the idea of pain and disappointment. Pain and suffering are experiences that we would all prefer to avoid, but they are inevitable parts of life. It's natural to question why we must go through difficult times, especially when we feel like we've been doing everything right. However, the story of Joseph has reminded us that pain and disappointment can lead to the fulfillment of our God-given purpose. Joseph was the eleventh and favorite son of Jacob, his father. His brothers were jealous of him and eventually sold him into slavery. Joseph was taken to Egypt, where he was bought by Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh. Joseph worked hard and was faithful to God, but he was falsely accused of a crime and thrown into prison. Despite his circumstances, Joseph continued to trust God and remained faithful. While he was in prison, he interpreted the dreams of two pharaoh's servants, which led to his interpretation of Pharaoh's dream. Pharaoh was so impressed with Joseph that he made him second in command over all of Egypt. Through Joseph's pain and suffering, God was preparing him for his purpose. Joseph was able to use his position in power to save his family and the people of Egypt from a devastating famine. In Genesis chapter 50 verse 20, Joseph tells his brothers, You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good, to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Just like Joseph, we may go through difficult times that cause us pain and disappointment. We may question why God is allowing us to suffer and wonder if we will ever fulfill our purpose. However, the story of Joseph reminds us that God can use our pain and disappointment for His glory. When we remain faithful to God and trust in His plan, we can find peace and fulfillment, even in the midst of our trials. Romans 8 verse 28 says, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. When we trust in God's plan and seek His guidance, He can use even the most difficult circumstances to shape us into the people He created us to be. Love it! Let us remain faithful in the face of pain and disappointment. Knowing that God has a plan for our lives, and we use our struggles to fulfill those plans. We may not understand the reason for our pain and suffering, but we can rest in the knowledge that God has a purpose for it. As we look to the example of Joseph, we can trust that God is working behind the scenes to bring out good in our lives and the lives of those around us. We can also take comfort in the fact that our pain is not in vain, but will be used for a greater purpose. Beloved, let us not forget that we are the champions of God. With faith as our guide, let us pursue His dreams for our lives, prepared to endure any pain, discomfort, or suffering that may come our way. For we know that through it all, an eternal and magnificent purpose is being fulfilled in our lives. Yes, we are God's champions. Amen! Beloved, our memory verse for today is taken from 1 Peter chapter 5 verse 10 from the King James Version. By the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a little while, make you perfect, establish you, strengthen, and settle you. Amen! Beloved, let's share a word of prayer. Father in heaven, we thank you for your word this morning. Thank you for giving us grace to go through our seasons of pain and suffering. Lord, we know that you are working out your purposes and plans through us. May your good thoughts about us be fulfilled. In Jesus' mighty name we have prayed. Amen. Beloved, God richly bless you for listening to today's devotion. Continue to stay tuned on Radio HCI Today for spirit-filled content. Have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
