The speaker begins with a prayer and a confession from Joshua 1:8, emphasizing the importance of meditating on the Word of God. The main topic of the devotion is "When God Speaks," and the speaker highlights how God speaks to us in various ways, including dreams, pastors, and Scripture. They encourage listeners not to give up on the promises God has spoken, using examples from the lives of Joseph and Abraham. The speaker stresses that God's Word will never fail and encourages listeners to hold onto the Word, meditate on it, and pray about it. They remind listeners that God will move heaven and earth to fulfill His promises and that His Word is reliable. The devotion concludes with a memory verse from Isaiah 55:11. ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต Psalm 5 Verse 3 My voice shall thou hear in the morning, O Lord. In the morning will I direct my prayer unto you, and I will look up. Amen. God bless you so much, beloved, for joining us this morning in lifting up our voices and looking up unto God in our time of prayer. Now it is our time to look unto Him in His Word. And privileged to be facilitating this morning's episode of our Morning Glory Devotion is our Hemabagusi Kingsford. Before we look into the Word of God, we'll kindly begin with a prayer. Father, we thank you this morning in Jesus' name. We have guided that you are fitted as your children and we ask that you speak unto our hearts and release a word of blessing unto us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Can we kindly take a confession, beloved, from Joshua Chapter 1 Verse 8? Joshua Chapter 1 Verse 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I shall make my way prosperous, and then I shall have good success. Amen. Beloved, for this morning's devotion we'll be looking at the topic, When God Speaks. When God Speaks. And we'll take an encore scripture from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah Chapter 55 from Verse 10 to 11. Isaiah Chapter 55 Verse 10 to 11. I'll be reading from the Message Bible. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don't go back until they've watered the earth, doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, so will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They will do the work I sent them to do. They will complete the assignment I give them. They will do the work I sent them to do. They will complete the assignment I give them. Amen. When God Speaks. God speaks to us, beloved, in diverse ways. It may be through a dream, through your pastor, or some other Spirit-filled believers. Or the impressions of the Spirit in you, and chiefly among all, through the Scriptures. More often than not, the way that God speaks to us, the promises He makes seem to tarry in coming to pass. Many of us believers are able to hold on to the Word for only a season, but soon give up. Just as the Bible says in Isaiah chapter 63 verse 18, that my holy people have preserved it, but only for a little while. We are at times tempted to think that God has forgotten about what He said, and that the Word may not come to pass. But beloved, hear what the Scripture says, that the Word that was spoken, the promise that God gave you, you will never return unto Him without accomplishing the purpose for which it was sent. What it means is that there is zero chance that the Word of God will ever fail in your life. It has never happened, and can never happen. When God speaks, He is bound by His integrity and faithfulness to watch over the performance of that Word. Because He never sleeps nor slumbers, when He speaks, He actively works behind the scene, backs the Word with His power, and commands all creation, whether visible or invisible, to ensure the fulfillment of that Word. Many, many years ago, He spoke to a young man called Joseph in a dream, and showed him how great he would be. But contrary to the Word that was spoken, Joseph was sold into slavery, as though the Word was not going to come to pass. Yet, God was not asleep nor relaxed about His Word. Behind the scene, He worked things out until Joseph was elevated, a second in command in all of Egypt. God spoke to Abraham and promised to make him a great nation. But for about twenty-five years, the Word of God seemed to tarry, as though God had forgotten about it or gone asleep on the Word. But Abraham held on to the Word. The book of Romans chapter four, verse eighteen to twenty-one, gives us further insight into how Abraham made it. We are told that he did not consider his negative circumstances, but rather counted that what God had said, he could and would do it. And so he gave glory to God even in advance. Abraham knew that one of the Almighty, unto whom belongs all power in heaven and earth, had spoken. He could revive his hundred-year-old, impotent body and make his wife capable of conception even in her old age. This is an encouragement to you, beloved, this morning, not to give up on that Word that God gave you some time ago. Your current circumstances may be contrary, but like Abraham, rather fix your eyes on the Word. Do all never to let it out of your sight, that portion of Scripture that ministered to you, that you felt that God has something in there for you. Keep it in your heart. Meditate on it. Let it be planted deep within you. Don't cease talking about that Word to God in prayer. For in the place of prayer, you get to put God in remembrance of His Word, not as though He has forgotten, but rather as a means of counting Him faithful and trustworthy. In this way, you would have reassurances of the Word, so that you keep holding on to it until you finally receive its manifestation. Beloved, let us be patient and confident and know that once God speaks, He will move angels, men, in every system of the universe to ensure the fulfillment of that Word in its time and in the due season. He has every resource, both physical and spiritual, that is needed to see to the accomplishment of His promises. The Almighty will not rest. He will not relax. He will not sleep. Neither will He slumber until He performs His Word in your life. His Word is tested and tried and proven to be reliable and never failing. And so, beloved, you can depend on it. In Jesus' name, Amen. We will take a memory verse from Isaiah chapter 55 verse 11, still from the same message Bible. So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They will do the work I sent them to do. They will complete the assignment I gave them. Amen. Thank you so much, beloved. And God bless you for staying through with us this morning. I believe that you have been blessed. Let's continue to stay connected to this platform for all the arrangements you have made for your spiritual growth and nourishment. And we will come your way again at exactly 12 o'clock noon, for our lunch, our prayer time. But until we meet on this platform, stay fruitful and stay connected in the Spirit. In Jesus' name, Shalom.
