This is a Morning Glory Devotion led by Pastor and Mrs. Grishmith. The theme is "Your Patience Would Pay Off." The scripture reading is from Hebrews 6:11-16, emphasizing the importance of faith and patience in receiving God's promises. The devotion encourages believers to be patient and steadfast, knowing that God's timing is perfect. Examples of Abraham and David waiting for their promises are given. The memory verse is Hebrews 6:15, "And so, after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised." The devotion ends with a prayer for patience and a reminder to continue fasting and praying. Shalom Precious One, God richly bless you for being a part of another episode of our Morning Glory Devotion. Privileged to be facilitating today's Morning Glory Devotion are Pastor and Mrs. Grishmith from Harvest Chapel International Dinami Kumasi. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Gracious Father, We are so grateful for another opportunity this morning to share your word. We ask, O God, that even as your word comes, may the entrance of it enlighten us and grant us deeper roots in you. In Jesus' name, I pray, we thank you and give you an Amen. Let us kindly take our confession from Joshua Chapter 1 verse 8. This Book of the Lord shall not be part out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have restlessness. Amen. Our theme for this Morning Glory Devotion is, Your Patience Would Pay Off. Your Patience Would Pay Off. And our scripture reading will be taken from Hebrews Chapter 6 verse 11 to 16. Hebrews 6 verse 11 to 15 and I'll be reading from the New Living Translation. Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts. In order to make certain that what you hope for will come true, then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God's promises because of their faith and endurance. For example, there was God's promise to Abraham. Since there was no one greater to swear by, God took an oath in His own name, saying, I will certainly bless you, and I will multiply your descendants beyond number. And Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised. This is the reading of the word. Thanks be to God. Your Patience Will Pay Off. Our Bible reading today reveals to us two key virtues we cannot do without if we are to walk in the manifestation of the promises of God concerning us, faith and patience. We all agree we need faith to be successful in our Christian journey. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. For he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11 verse 6 Today's devotion focuses on one other key virtue that is mostly neglected in our quest to possessing our inheritance, patience. A patient person is one who is steadfast, constant, enduring, and persevering despite the opposition, difficulty, or adversity he or she faces. This posture is as a result of an inward firm assurance of the outcome of life and its possible challenges. We can only come to this point as believers if we get to know He whom we have believed. We must make time to investigate for ourselves who this God is so we can have a personal revelation and conviction of Him. One truth that we will discover when we embark on this journey is that He is a God of times and seasons, and for every promise there rests the time component, hence the need for patience. We read in Habakkuk chapter 2 verses 2 and 3 Then the Lord said to me, Write my answer plainly on tablets so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently for it, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. Amen. The vision is always for an appointed time and it will surely take place. Abraham had to wait for 25 years before receiving the promised son. David had to wait for an estimated 15 years after being anointed by the prophet Samuel before finally ascending the throne of Israel. We must learn and develop the art of patiently waiting for that appointed time of manifestation as determined on God's divine calendar with the assurance that our waiting will never be in vain. Dear one, how long have you waited for the manifestation of the promise of God concerning your life? Don't walk away yet. Your patience will definitely pay off in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. It's time to take our memory verse and our memory verse for today shall be taken from Hebrews chapter 6 verse 15. Hebrews chapter 6 verse 15 reading from the NIV. And so, after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. And so, after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. Amen. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Father in the mighty name of Jesus, we thank you so much for your word that has come to us today. We pray, Lord, for the grace to remain patient, O God, when it seems as if the promises are tiring and delaying. Help us, O God, stick to you. Help us, O God, that we will not wander away, that in the end we shall walk in the manifestation of your promises concerning us and our families. In Jesus' precious name, we pray with thanksgiving. Amen. God richly bless you so much, beloved, for connecting with us and for staying through our morning glory devotion today. Remember, today is the 11th of our 21-day fast. We want to wait on God. We want to hop on if you have not and join us again tomorrow for another time in his word. Join us for our lunch hour prayer which comes off at 12 noon as we push through together. Shalom and have a spirit-filled fast. Amen.
