God said, "Let us make man in our image, and let him have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, and all the earth, and over every animal that moves on the earth." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth, subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every animal that moves on the earth." God also said, "I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be your food. And to every animal of the earth, to every bird of the sky, and to everything that moves on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green plant for food." Dios los vendió y les pidió, sean fecundos y multiplíquense, llenen la tierra, sojúzguenla, y tengan dominio sobre los peces del mar, las aves del cielo y todos los animales que se desplazan sobre la tierra. Dios dijo además, he aquí que les he dado toda la planita que era semilla, que está sobre la superficie de toda la tierra, y todo árbol cuyo fruto lleva semilla. Ellos les servirán de aliento. Y a todo animal de la tierra, a toda ave del cielo, y a todo animal que se desplaza sobre la tierra, en que hay vida, toda planta les será de alimento. Y fue así. Dios vio que todo lo que había hecho, he aquí que era bueno, y fue la tarde y la mañana, el sexto día. Así fueron terminados los cielos y la tierra y todos sus ocupantes. El séptimo día Dios había terminado la obra que hizo, y reposó en el séptimo día de toda la obra que había hecho. Por eso Dios bendijo y santificó el séptimo día, porque Él reposó de toda Su obra de creación que Dios había hecho. Estos son los orígenes de los cielos y de la tierra cuando fueron creados.
