The speaker, Meow Art, is using YouTube as a platform to share a story. The story is about a woman named Kit who works on a train platform. One night, she notices a man acting strangely and asks her male friends to walk her to the bus stop. The man continues to follow her, so her friend takes her to a pub and then calls a cab to take her home safely. The cab driver informs her that there have been recent attacks in the area. Kit's brother starts picking her up on his motorcycle after that. Meow Art asks for feedback and suggests leaving story suggestions in the comments for future podcasts. Hi there! This is Meow Art and I am going to be reading today for you guys a story that I was given permission to say. Sorry guys, I know it's been a while and I know this is not my normal place, but currently because of the fact that I can't afford to pay the prices that the other app that I was using to help publish my stories, or rather my podcast, I'm going to be using this sort of forum as you already know with YouTube. And I'm not entirely sure how well it's going to go, but I do hope that it's not too bad and it doesn't sound horrible, right? But it's something I haven't used in a long, long time. And oh my, my, my, my. I feel old because I never even thought about using this. Which is what makes me laugh because this is the most obvious thing that I could use for a podcast. The person whose story I'm going to read, her name's Kit. And excuse me guys, one sec. Who has sent me a permission, has given me permission to use her story. We're going to call her Kit, okay? And I'm going to start reading off the story to you now and I hope it sounds as good as it sounds to me. I was working on a train platform. I used to do train dispatch. One night I was just about to finish shift when I got into a chat with some male staff. We were teasing each other about the station being haunted, swapping ghost stories, and drinking coffee. A gentleman was standing on the platform just staring out at the line. I mentioned to my friend that he was acting a little odd. Maybe one of them should approach and just check he was doing okay. It was agreed that I would go, but they would be just slightly behind me. People tend to open up to a woman more. I approached, just said, are you alright? The man smiled and said, yeah, fine. Missed my train and need to think of an excuse for the missus. Or rather, sorry, wife. I nodded and came away, but something didn't sit right with me. The way he looked at me was odd. The swap time arrived and normally I would head off in an expedientive, feel a blaze of glory, manly directed at my male friends. He would return the favor. It was the rightest passage. If you didn't get told to piss off home, you were unpopular. This time I approached them and said, I know it's stupid, but would you mind walking me to the bus stop? He weirded me out a bit. A couple of the lads who knew I'm not prone to fits of fancy agreed and walked me to the bus stop. I leaned into, one leaned into me and whispered, Kit, he's coming up to the stop. I decided to let the first bus go. My friends agreed. The man stood a few feet behind us and smiled at me in a really odd way. He kept raising his eyebrows and muttering to himself. Sounds like he had some problems. One of my friends whispered he didn't like this and said he would take me to my door. I nodded grateful as this guy was becoming incredibly creepy. My male friend wrapped an arm around me and did the heavy boyfriend routine. This normally kept unwanted attention away from the ladies. The guy didn't seem to care. He just kept staring at me. Other passengers noticed this and started and muttered to each other and started about keeping the weird bastard away from her. My bus arrives and I move to the board. The guys are the same. Then my friend announced, tell you what, come to my instead, babe. I live alone, no parents to interrupt. I nod in agreement. Good thinking, babe. I took a few steps towards him and away from the bus, the odd man did the same thing. He was definitely following me. I looked at my friend. By now I was terrified. We walked with his arm wrapped around me, away from the bus and towards the nearest pub. My friend was obviously in deep thought. I wondered what he was thinking about. We turned a corner and suddenly my friend pulled me into the middle of the road shouting, taxi. A cab pulled up. He bundled me into it and instructed, take her wherever she wants, lock the doors and windows and under no circumstances open them. Here's 20 pence, I think it's pence. Keep the change. Kit, I'm calling your mom. Don't get out of the cab until someone is on your doorstep. The cabbie nodded, locked the doors and took the money and drove me home. Whilst we drove, I explained what had happened. He became very serious and told me that three women had been attacked in the area in the last three weeks. He got me home and my brother met me at the doorstep. I can never thank my friend enough for what he did. And my brother picked me up on his motorcycle every night after that. Aww, that's so nice. Isn't that nice guys? Anyways y'all, I wanted to say I hope you liked that story. I'm going to be trying to do more of these. And of course, I guess what they say here usually is please subscribe, like it if you do. And please leave me a comment. It can pretty much be anything but maybe a story of your own that you'd like to hear read off. I am just starting up this new podcast. I haven't done a previous podcast I've been doing, like I said before. But because of other things and me not thinking it's a very good one, I will link it below this audio. Oh well, you guys know what I mean. And you can check out the other podcasts and see what you think. And yeah, that's pretty much it. Peace out. Hope y'all have a good day or night, wherever you are. And that's about it y'all.
