Overall, the transcription provides ideas for a special Valentine's Day brunch and emphasizes the importance of planning and preparation. Are you perhaps planning for a very romantic Valentine's Day? Well, it is coming up just one week from today. And I have a special guest joining me here at the RNJ Morning Program, a very popular home chef and also a lifestyle influencer with some details and some information about how we could get the most out of our Valentine's Day by maybe planning a very special brunch for our Valentine. Shanesty Ireland is with me here at the RNJ Morning Program. And Shanesty, Burt Barron, WRNJ Radio in the great state of New Jersey. How are you doing today? I'm doing well, Burt. Thank you so much for having me on. Thank you for joining me. And Tuesday, it can be a very romantic day of the week, I guess, if you approach it the right way. And, you know, Valentine's Day, the 14th, could land really on any day of the week. You know, sometimes you get lucky. It's a Friday. It's a Saturday. Just so happens to be a Tuesday this year. But fear not, all hope is not lost because you've got some information for us just to make it a cool thing and maybe celebrate with a nice brunch either this weekend or on Valentine's Day itself. Yeah, Valentine's Day, I think it's kind of just taken on this whole animal of itself. There's so many different ways you could celebrate. You could go out to eat. You can dine in. You could celebrate with jewelry or flowers or chocolate. But to me, there's no better way to say I love you than through the stomach, which, of course, goes to the heart. And I love to cook. It's one of my absolute favorite things to do. So if you plan ahead and prepare a really wonderful brunch with some items that you may not get on a normal Tuesday, if you just skip the oatmeal and skip the cereal and things like that, you can really make it special for your loved one a week from today on Valentine's Day. This Tuesday could actually be known, Shanisty, as something better than just half price movie tickets. I mean, imagine that. You can have some fun with a nice Valentine's Day brunch. And I think you're absolutely correct that there is a scientific connection between the heart and the stomach. That's a good way to get to somebody emotionally. You feed them and you feed them really good stuff. So if you were planning like a menu, like a brunch menu for your special Valentine, how would you put it together? Yeah, so I love the idea of just a bruschetta. What's wonderful about having something like a bruschetta, you could create somewhat of a bruschetta bar if you wanted to have a bunch of different varieties to put on bruschetta. Or you could just go with a strawberry bruschetta or even like bacon and eggs on it. So what I'm going to be using for this recipe is I'm going to be using Julian's Recipe Baguette. You can find these in your frozen food section. And they're really easy. They kind of take a lot of the legwork out of preparing the bread and putting garlic on it and butter and all of that. Everything's already prepared for you. So you just pop that in the oven. And if you're going to be doing a strawberry bruschetta, what I like to do is top it with a little bit of goat cheese, some chopped strawberries, maybe some arugula or spinach. If you're thinking, Shanna, please stop. Strawberries are not in season. If you're not, you could totally skip the strawberries and go with more of a breakfast bruschetta. So what I'm going to be using for that is a little bit of I'm going to be using the truffle butter baguette from Julian's Recipe, topping it with a little bit of butter and garlic. And then I'm just going to be making scrambled eggs and I'm going to be making bacon. And I'm going to put that on top of my bruschetta. So it's almost just like a little breakfast sandwich, but it's really simple and it really takes no time at all. So if you're thinking Tuesday, kids are going to school, it's really busy, I got to go to work. You can do this Tuesday morning or, as you mentioned, you could, of course, celebrate it over the weekend as well. This sounds amazing. You know, typically on Tuesday I have Cheerios. Now I'm hearing about baguettes and eggs and bacon and I'm liking this idea. This is really good. This might exactly catch on. And the fact that a lot of these are the baguette part is almost sort of pre-made. This is really easy to whip together on a weekday morning. Yeah, I love Julian's recipe. I love these baguettes. They have a pretzel flavor. They have the butter and garlic flavor. And as I mentioned, you can find it in your frozen food section there locally at Whole Foods and at Walmart. And it doesn't taste like frozen food. I promise when you pop this in the oven, it only takes about eight minutes to cook up. It tastes almost like you are at a French cuisine restaurant or you're somewhere that's not perhaps your kitchen on a Tuesday in the middle of the winter. Sounds magnifique. I like this. Shanisty Ireland is my guest this morning at the RNJ Morning Program. Home chef, lifestyle influencer. Maybe you're following her on socials. I'm going to let her give her handles out in just a few moments. But we're talking about some ideas for Valentine's Day brunch. And listen, I know it's Tuesday. We've got stuff we've got to do. Take a couple of minutes. Enjoy a nice little breakfast or something with your special Valentine with some really nice ideas that Shanisty is sharing with us here this morning. When you're down to like almost a desperation kind of thing, Shanisty, and you are putting together a meal that you just absolutely had to knock somebody's socks off, what do you start with? How do you put together that ideal meal, whether it's Valentine's Day or any day? Well, I think first and foremost is figuring out what your special someone wants to eat. I have five kids, so I have six special someone. Wow. I'm going to be I'm going to be doing a variety of a bunch of things because the kids are really the big winner on Valentine's Day, especially if you have kids. It's actually statistics show that partners spend money on each other. Maybe 60 percent of them do, but 85 percent are going to spend money on the kids, too. So I'm going to be preparing a variety of different items. Planning ahead is really critical. I know it's cliche. We hear it all the time. But making that meal prep ahead of time, making sure you have all those ingredients so you're not rushing out to the store last minute, even preparing some of these things before, making sure you're chopping up the strawberries, you're chopping up the fruits and vegetables that you may need for your for your meal. And then you could really celebrate all day long. You could have this special brunch. You could have, you know, heart shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch. I don't know. Do something really easy. And then you could always have a wonderful meal set up for your kids, which mine would consist of like box macaroni and cheese. And then you could prepare a lovely steak or lobster or shrimp fettuccine for you and your sweetheart later that evening. That all sounds amazing. Shanisty, as we wrap up here, first some information about these amazing baguettes you were talking about. And then if someone wants to maybe follow you on social media, you really got some wonderful ideas. How does somebody connect with you? Yeah, you can find me at Shanisty Ireland on Instagram. I've got some fun recipes on there. I actually shared an edible butter candle recipe this morning, which people are thinking what on earth? But it's something I found on TikTok. It's trending right now. It's really simple to do. You could prepare that with some of your Julien's recipe baguettes or you could just eat butter straight up with a spoon. I'm not going to judge. And then you can, of course, find me on Facebook as well. And on my blog, She's Becoming Domestic dot com. All right. Sounds great. Shanisty Ireland, home chef, lifestyle influencer. Great suggestions this morning to maybe liven things up a little bit next Tuesday for Valentine's Day. Greatly appreciate it. You and your family have a wonderful day and thank you again for the time. Thank you for having me.
