Solar energy is the fastest-growing and most abundant form of electricity generation. It can solve urgent global problems and provide heat, electricity, and fuels for various applications. However, one major issue is that it is only generated during sunlight, and there are some pollution-related concerns during manufacturing and installation. Advances in battery technology are improving energy production during bad weather. Overall, solar energy has more advantages than disadvantages, and society should embrace it to make the world a better place. Hello, we are Kristjana and Eva from 8A. Welcome to the EKO podcast. In this podcast, we will talk about our Earth's problems and how we can solve them, or more specifically, for the solar energy. Did you know that solar energy is the fastest and most popular form of new electricity generation and that it is the most abundant energy resource of Earth? 173,000 terawatts of solar energy strives the Earth continuously. That's more than 10,000 times the world's total energy use. Solar energy, radiant light and heat from the sun, has been harnessed by humans since ancient times using a range of ever-evolving technologies. Solar energy technologies include solar heating, solar photovoltaics, solar steam electricity, and solar extension, which can make considerable contributions to solving some of the most urgent problems the world now faces. Solar technologies can deliver heat, cooling, natural lightning, electricity and fuels for a host of applications. Solar technologies convert sunlight into electrical energy either through photovoltaic panels or through mirrors and concentrate the solar radiation. Of course, each thing has its good and bad sides. And now comes the question, what is the biggest problem with solar? One of the biggest problems is that solar energy technology poses is that energy is only generated while the sun is shining. That means that nighttime and overcast days can interrupt the supply. But what other problems might arise? Associated with pollution, outdoor pollution related to solar energy systems is far less compared to other sources of energy. Solar energy can be associated with pollution. Transportation and installation of solar systems has been a city with the emission of greenhouse gases. There are also some toxic materials and hazardous products used during the manufacturing process of solar photovoltaic systems, which can empirically affect the environment. Never the less, solar energy pollutes far less than other alternative energy sources. The disadvantages of solar energy to temporarily decline in energy production during bad weather has been a major issue. Days with low solar energy, however, are having less of an effect due to advances in battery technology. Of technology for storing solar energy, like lead acid batteries are being replaced by alternatives. The truth is that there are more positives than negatives, but if you want to deal with some of the problems, the solar batteries need to be well aligned with the sun so that they are effective during most of the day. You should too keep in mind the size of the solar panel and the cost. Society should move towards the extraction of this type of energy because thanks to this there are already cars and airplanes that move with solar energy. However, there are many types of energy that do more harm than solar. Coal is a very good example for this. Now that we've talked about the solar energy, what do you think? How can we make the world a better place? Do you agree with that there are more positives than negatives? According to the information we follow, there are disadvantages and advantages. We hope that everyone will take part in saving the world. Thank you for listening. www.subsedit.com
