Hello, and welcome to the introduction episode of the Dayfall Fitness Podcast. I thought I'd just give you a quick introduction and tell you a bit about how this podcast is going to work and what it's going to talk about. So basically, I'm going to be raw-dogging this podcast now. I'm not going to have you look up the Urban Dictionary term for that, but what it means in terms of this podcast is it's just going to be me speaking into a microphone, no fancy edits. It's going to be a one-take show, so if I fuck up my words, if I stumble over them, just laugh at my expense. It's okay. So yeah, it's not going to be perfect. I'm never going to claim to be a perfect podcaster, but you know, as I say to everyone and all my clients, you've got to put the reps in, and hopefully, you'll just keep getting better and better. And if I don't, you can just laugh at my expense. So this is going to be not a usual fitness podcast. What I want to talk more about is how we're going to take some of the concepts and science behind things and how we're going to turn that into practical advice to give you actionable steps to take away and apply to your fitness journey. See, most people, what they struggle with most is how to actually take these things and put them into their life because it's all well and good, you know, the science behind things, but then if you can't actually apply it, then that knowledge is pretty useless to me. So I've got my next 20 episodes of this podcast, or at least the topics planned out. And why 20, you ask? Well, so most podcasts don't actually make it through to the first 20 episodes. So if I make it to the first 20, that actually puts me in the top 1% of podcasts produced. And even if nobody listens, just my mum and I get the one listen a week, then at least I can say I'm in the top 1% of podcasts, but hopefully more of you guys will be following along the way. So as I said, this is not your normal fitness podcast. Yes, I do love fitness. It's a huge part of my life, but it's not my life. As you will find with a lot of personal trainers, all they do is they're prepping for body shoots and everything is about fitness, fitness, fitness, meal prepping, eating chicken, rice and broccoli, but that's just not how I like to do things. I love food, going out, socializing, games, gigs, music, festivals, and loads of other fun stuff. And hopefully you guys do as well, because I'm going to be talking about how you can do all of this and still achieve your fitness goals. And we're going to have some fun along the way. So the plan for the podcast is the first series is going to be solo educational episodes. And then hopefully as we build, I'll be able to get some good guests on for series two, and we can go a bit more in-depth on the topics and get their opinion on stuff. And then the plan for number three, I'm going to get people from my community on the podcast, telling them a bit about how they get involved, what kind of stuff they like to do, and that's going to be little bite-sized episodes, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves, shall we? Okay, I just want to finish and just say, so as I promised on my Instagram story, at the end of each podcast episode, as a reward for you guys, I'm going to tell you an embarrassing story about me, because if I don't start exposing myself, it's one of my friends' favorite things to do, and they will most certainly want to expose me. So stick around to the end of the podcast, and I'm going to let you know an embarrassing story at the end of each one. I've got 25 loaded up, so that will tell you the extent of it. And I just want to finish by saying, don't judge me on my first podcast, but judge me on my 100th. Hopefully, we'll get better, and we'll get there. But yeah, thanks a lot, guys, and I'll speak to you in the next episode.
