This is Pastor Anderson from Overflow Outreach Ministries, delivering a message of encouragement and sharing a scripture from Psalms 37:4-5. The main point is to have a desire for God, be dedicated to Him, and practice discipline. By committing ourselves to the Lord, we can overcome disbelief and develop a deeper relationship with Him and others. The pastor also urges listeners to meditate on the word of God, develop a prayer life, and find a local fellowship. He concludes by emphasizing the importance of getting our lives in order and being on fire for the Lord, as Jesus is coming back soon. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. This is Pastor Anderson once again, Overflow Outreach Ministries. You tapped into the encouragement corner. We're bringing the Word of God to you today, tomorrow, all the way up until Jesus comes back. Amen. So we just thank God once again for his many fold blessings. Today I have a dynamic encouragement piece that is coming from the 37th Division of Psalms, verses 4 through 5. Once again, if you're listening to this, my name is Pastor Anderson, the encouragement corner. We're here to encourage you. Everyone needs a little encouragement with their walk in Christ. Amen. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, we just thank you for waking us up this morning, starting us on our way. You didn't have to do it, but you did. And for that, we say thank you. Oh God, Lord, we just ask you to bless us today, going out and coming in. Help us today on our jobs. Help us today with our interaction with everyone that we come in contact with, Lord. Allow us to be more of a soul winner, an encourager, so that we can be ready when you come back, oh God. Lord, we just ask you to continue to use us in a mighty way, oh God. Lord, we just thank you for salvation. Lord, we just thank you for healing. Lord, we just thank you for knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, Lord. And we'll forever praise, magnify, and glorify your precious name. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Once again, this is Pastor Anderson, the Encouragement Corner. Today's encouragement piece is coming from Psalms 37, verses 4 through 5. And it reads, delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desire of thine heart. Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desire of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord. Trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass. Once again, commit your way unto the Lord. Trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass. What shall he bring to pass? Your desire, whatever you're desiring from God today. Trust in him, and delight yourself in him. So watch this. Today we're going to talk about desire, dedication, and discipline. Remember the three D's. Desire, dedication, and discipline. When we commit our way to the Lord, we must desire for souls to be saved. Yes, the quickest way for our needs being met is being able to delight ourselves in him, and trust in him, and commit our way to the Lord. We must desire for souls to be saved. So the quickest way for our needs to be met is to be about soul winning. When our desire for soul winning increase, all of our needs will be met. Matthew 6 and 33. When we commit our way to the Lord, we all must be dedicated. We have to be dedicated in the things of God. God's chief measuring stick is our faithfulness. Did you catch that? The more faithful we are, the more faithful he is to us. Dedication, faithfulness will get us a desired result. That's God's agenda. His chief measuring stick is our faithfulness, dedication, and faithfulness to his agenda. When we are dedicated, when we are dedicated, we build our knowledge in him. We have to continue to be about soul winning. But how can you effectively be about soul winning when you're not into the word of God? And so listen, we have to build our knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We understand why knowledge is important when we commit our way to him. The Bible says knowledge shall be the stability of the time. So if you want to be stable in the time by which you live in, we have to inquire knowledge naturally as well as spiritually. Amen. So we understand why knowledge is important. When we commit our way to the Lord, we overcome disbelief. Amen. We have to have faith, but without faith, it is impossible to please the Lord. So we overcome disbelief. We understand why we should believe when we commit our way to the Lord. The Bible says he that believes in him shall be saved. And if we don't believe in the Lord, we will be damned. It's just that simple. Praise the Lord. We understand why we should believe. Dedication is the seed of optimism to be more optimistic. Amen. And so finally, to get the desires of our heart, we all must have discipline. Discipline is doing the right thing because it's the right thing to do. Why do we need spiritual discipline? You will develop not only a deeper relationship with God, but with all people surrounding you because spiritual discipline, it helps develop better attitudes, more stable emotions and thoughts and kindness towards all people. Amen. And so this week, I admonish you to meditate on the word of God, develop a prayer life. Most definitely moving forward, start fasting more and find you a local fellowship where you can worship that even at our church. Come worship with us, fellowship with us and get a greater understanding of the word of God. We all should be about what God is doing this week. Amen. This is Pastor Anderson. Once again, overflow outreach ministries. We're reaching out to you. We just thank God for you. We thank God for the word of God. Amen. Desire, dedication and discipline. That's what we need to be doing this week. We have to have a greater desire for God. We have to be more dedicated to the Lord and we have to be disciplined in the things of God. Real quickly, I want to read a couple of scriptures to you before we sign off. Acts chapter two, verses one through four. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing, mighty wind. And it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues, like as a fire, and it set upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance. Amen. Acts two, 37 through 39. And now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remissions of sins. And ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for the promises unto you and to your children and to all that are false, even as many as the Lord, our God shall call. Amen. John three, three through eight. Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said unto him, how can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I say unto thee, ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it lifteth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but cannot tell whence it cometh and whether it goeth. So is everyone that is born of the spirit. Amen. You have to receive the Holy Ghost to be born again. And so God is saying we have to have a desire for the Lord. We have to be dedicated to the Lord and we have to develop great discipline in the things of God. And that comes with delighting thyself in the Lord and committing our way unto the Lord today. Once again, this is Pastor Anderson, Overflow Outreach Ministries. We are reaching out to you once again and you have a wonderful Jesus-filled week. This year is coming to a close. We have to push in God like never before because guess what? Watch this. Jesus is coming soon. Jesus is coming soon. Jesus is coming back. We all have to get our house in order and give up the things of this world and start following the Lord with all of our hearts. In other words, we need to get on fire for the Lord. Amen. I love you all in Jesus name. Have a great week. If you desire prayer, contact me at 813-770-9610. Amen. Contact me for prayer. We're here to pray for you. So we love you all in Jesus name. Have a great week. God bless.
