The main ideas from this information are: - The knock of God is getting louder, indicating that Jesus is coming soon and believers need to be ready. - The scripture from Revelations chapter 3, verses 20-21, speaks about how God is knocking at the door of our hearts. - There are six important guidelines in life: mind your thoughts when you are alone, mind your tongue when you are with friends, mind your temper when you are angry, mind your behavior when you are with a group, mind your emotions when you are in trouble, and mind your desires when you are tempted. - It is important to be positive, speak life, and walk in purpose in order to overcome challenges and be ready for what is to come. Praise the Lord this is the Bishop Elect J.E. Anderson. Greetings in the matchless name of Jesus. I hope your holiday season is full of joy. I hope your Christmas yesterday was just an awesome experience. You know Jesus is the reason for the season. Today we're going to bring the Word of God to you. The topic is the knock of God is getting louder. The knock of God is getting louder. You know you have half you know half of a brain if you will you can see that society is getting progressively worse and worse and we know you know as believers that Jesus is soon to come. Jesus is coming soon and so we have to be ready. Our oil has to be at an all-time high. We have to be on fire for the Lord and be ready for when he comes and watch this we have to walk in purpose and be ready to give people an answer while we're hoping and praying and walking in faith and while we believe in the resurrected Savior. Amen. Today's scripture is going to come from Revelations chapter 3 verse 20 through 21. Again the knock of God is getting louder. Can you hear it today? You know the weather is getting worse all around the country. You can see you don't know whether it's summertime, wintertime, fall or spring. All of a sudden the weather I mean it's just freezing cold all around the country and so we can see that the scriptures are fulfilling of themselves and so in Revelations chapter 3 verse 20 and 21 it says, Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door I will come in to him and will sup with him and he with me. You know the Lord is standing at the doors of the heart and he's knocking like never before. The knock of God is getting louder. Amen. I'm gonna read that again. Behold I stand at the door and knock and if any man hear my voice and open the door I will come in to him and will sup with him and he with me and to he that overcometh. Amen. You have to have an overcoming spirit. You have to have a spirit of endurance in this hour. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne even as I also overcame. All right we serve a God that overcame. Great is he that is in us than he that is in the world. So we serve a God that have overcame the enemy and so he expects for us to overcome in this hour and I am sit down with my father in his throne. Amen. Again to him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne even as I also overcame and I am sit down with my father in his throne. Amen. As a subtopic I'm going to talk about six important guidelines in life. Six important guidelines in life. Overcome these and we will be ready. Amen. If you can overcome this you will be ready. The first thing I want to bring to your attention when you are alone mind your thoughts. When you are alone mind your thoughts. From its very inaction idleness ultimately becomes the most active cause of evil. The devil tempts all other men but that idle man tempts the devil. Amen. In other words our idle mind is the devil's workshop. So therefore when you are alone mind your thoughts because an idle mind is the devil's workshop. Amen. So when you're alone mind your thoughts. Mind your thoughts when you are alone. Okay. And the best thing you can do when you're alone when you're dealing with depression and the holiday season and moving forward 2023 and you're going through the economy is bad, the weather is bad, COVID is back on the rise. You have to be careful what you put into your mind. Amen. Get back into the Word of God. Get back into strong Christian fellowship. Get back into worshiping the Lord when no one is around. Alright. And so idleness becomes the most active cause of evil. Most people stumble and fall because they don't have enough things to do especially in the body of Christ. It's more than just coming to church, shouting, shouting and yelling and screaming. Amen. And worshiping. That's part of it. But we have to find our purpose. We cannot walk in idleness moving forward. The devil is so busy and so God is standing at the door. He's knocking and we need to hear his voice. In other words, faith without works is dead. We have to walk in purpose and it has to line up with our faith if we're going to make it moving forward. Number two, when you are with your friends mind your tongue. Isn't it ironic between everyone's jawbone is a small member that can get us in a world of trouble. Amen. The Bible says life and death is in the tongue. Our lives is a direct reflection of what we spoke at some point in our life. If you speak greatness in your life, greatness over your children's lives, guess what? They will end up in a positive place. But if you're always speaking negative, just negative thoughts, speaking negativity in your own life, negativity in your friends life, negativity in your kids life, negativity in your, it's just negative. Guess what? You will always be living on a negative plane. Everything you speak should be the edification of the Lord. God should get the glory. The Bible even speaks about how we should speak the oracles of God and it's not just doctrine. It's also talking about thoughts of peace, great thoughts that God have concerning us. Thoughts of peace, not of evil and we will have an expected end. You have to always be speaking positive with your tongue. First Corinthians 15 and 33 declares, be not deceived. Evil communication corrupt good manners. Evil communication can also be always being negative. Some people are just so negative they focus on just the negative things in life. Negativity when it comes to ethnicity, negativity when it comes to lack of resources, lack of opportunity. Always speaking about how they are the victim instead of the victor. I heard Jesus say I can do, he spoke to us, he said I can do all things through Christ who strengthens us through the Holy Spirit. Amen. And so we have to speak positive over our life. James 3 and 6 says in the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So is the tongue among our members that it defileth the whole body and set it on fire the course of nature and it is set on fire of hell. Amen. We have to be more positive. Your attitude can determine your altitude and that can descend as well as ascend. So we have to watch what we say. We have to watch what we speak, say, think, especially when we're around people. We have to be more positive with each other. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Amen. But the more we get into the Word of God and the more we're about strong Christian fellowship and purpose and development and we go out in our communities and we live and we're helping these young men and women, we begin to become more positive about our situation. So watch what you say moving forward amongst your friends. Number three, when you are angry mind your temper. Amen. Mind your temper. Ephesians 4, 26-27 says, Be ye angry and sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your wrath. In other words, don't go to sleep angry. A lot of people have strokes when they're sleeping. A lot of people have heart attacks while they're sleeping because they're mad all the time. Just mad at everybody, just bitter. Mad at the world. You cannot make anyone like you. If you're in a relationship, you can't make no one stay with you, see things your way. Just continue to speak life in your situation. Keep chasing your dreams. Keep walking in purpose and I promise you, you will end up in a good place. So when you're angry, mind your temper. Amen. Bob even speaks up in the book of Proverbs. Don't be around angry men. Something about anger, just negativity follows people who are angry all the time. Always feel like the world owes them something or another human being has done wrong by them. Listen, everyone has the same 24 hours in a day to accomplish whatever it is, whatever it is that they desire to accomplish. Especially if you have the Lord on your side. So when you're angry, mind your temper. Number four, when you are with a group, mind your behavior. Mind your behavior. Watch yourself. The Bible says that David behaved himself wisely when he was amongst the king. Watch this. Be wise in your disposition. Be wise in your attitude. Be wise even with your nonverbal communication. Be wise. Be wise. Watch what you say. Watch what you do. Because the scripture says we are ambassadors for Christ. And someone who's an ambassador for a country, they behave themselves in the best way, great manners. First Timothy 5 and 13 says, and with all they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but tattlers also in busy bodies speaking things which they ought not. In other words, some people are just doing too much. They're doing the most, okay. They talk too much. They're always in other people's business. They're always tattling. And the Bible says they learn to be idle. In other words, they master in the art of not doing nothing with their life. And because they haven't done anything with their lives, they're always speaking on someone else's life. Wow. Everything is in the scripture. So when you're with a group, mind your behavior. And don't go from house to house. Stay out of people's business. Some people go from Facebook all day long, from post to post to post, all in people's personal profile, looking at how other people are living their life. But they themselves do not have a life of their own. Praise the Lord. So once again, when you are with a group, mind your behavior. Number five, when you are in trouble, mind your emotions. Some people are just so emotional. They are moved about every wind of doctrine. Amen. One minute when this new information comes out, they accept that as fact. When the ideology comes a couple of months from now, they accept that for fact. One minute when the world is talking about how there's giants in the world and in the world, they're into that. When this ethnicity was kings and queens, they're into that. The streets come up with another slang and another saying and a slogan, they're into that. But we have to mind our emotions when we're in trouble. Look at what Proverbs 4, 23 through 24 says, Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. In other words, you have to keep a clear head. You have to manage your emotions. You have to maximize your conversations and you have to minimize negativity that is going on in your life. Verse 24, put away from thee a forward mouth and perverse lips put far from thee. In other words, stop being so vulgar. Stop being so negative and stop speaking what's on your mind all the time. You know, we live in an hour now. I'm gonna speak my mind. Well, who's to say what's on your mind is of God? So we have to put away from thee a forward mouth and we have to be more positive when it comes to everything moving forward to 2023. Number six, when God starts blessing you, mind your ego. And ego basically means easing God out. Okay? When God bless you and he puts you in a position of leadership, whether it's in the church or whether it's on the job or whether it's in the community, mind your ego. Always remember, you didn't do it on your own and without God, you would not have made it and you would be nothing. Amen. Proverbs 21 and 4 says, a high look and a proud heart in the plowing of the wicked is sin. Amen. So when God puts you on a pedestal, praise the Lord, he puts you on that platform as an ambassador for Christ, as someone, as a window, you become iconic. You're the window by which people see things. Make sure you give God all the glory and the honor. So once again, when God starts blessing you, mind your ego. When you're in trouble, mind your emotions. When you're in a group or when you're with a group, mind your behavior. When you're angry, mind your temper. When you're with friends, mind your tongue. And I promise you, if you do all these things, you will be ready as God is knocking on the door of our hearts. Jesus is coming soon and he's coming back for a church without spots or wrinkles or any such thing. Amen. So continue to keep God first in all that you do. Jesus is coming back. Jesus is coming soon and we need to be ready when he comes. Real quick, quickly, I want to read, I'm going to read some additional scriptures. John chapter 1, the first chapter of John, beginning at the first verse, there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. The same came to Jesus by night and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God, for no man can do these miracles that thou doest except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Listen, it's very important that we are born again when we're dealing with the things of God. Amen. Nicodemus said unto him, how can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Amen. So we have to be born of water and of Spirit to be saved. Let's go to Acts 2 and verse 38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Once again, this is the Bishop-Elect J.E. Anderson, Overflow Outreach Ministries. I'm reaching out to you. Bring in the Word of God right where you're at. Once again, Jesus is the reason for the season. We don't worship no Christmas trees. We don't know exactly when Jesus was born. The world has chosen this time of the year for us to come into remembrance of anything that has to do with the Lord. So we just accept that as fact. But once again, Jesus is ultimately the reason for the season and the knock of God is getting louder. He's standing at the doorknock and if any man hear his voice, the voice of God is speaking right now. And so we need to open up the door of our heart and he said that he's going to come in, fill us with the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance and he's going to suck with us and he's going to be with us and we're going to be able to spread this gospel to the entire world. Once again, we love you all in Jesus' name. Happy Holidays. Keep walking by faith and not by sight. Amen. You will overcome and you will be ready. The Scripture says, he that endures to the end shall be saved. And so we are connected. We are connected in the church. We're connected in the body of Christ because we will endure because we're walking by faith and not by sight. Listen, talk to you again at the beginning of the year. You guys be blessed. We love you all in Jesus' name. Happy Holidays.
