Pastor Anderson from Overflow Outreach Ministries discusses the benefits of waiting on God. Waiting on God renews our mind physically, spiritually, and emotionally. By waiting on God, we can receive healing emotionally and have a deeper spiritual understanding. God will also give us the strength to run further. It is important to renew our minds daily through reading the Word of God and praying. Additionally, Pastor Anderson emphasizes the importance of being baptized in Jesus' name and receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He encourages those who have not been baptized to reach out for guidance and support. This is part one of a three-part series on the benefits of waiting on God. Praise the Lord, this is Pastor Anderson, Overflow Outreach Ministries. We are reaching out to you today. You are very fortunate right now. You've tapped into the encouragement corner. We just thank God for his many fold blessings. We just thank God for you, those of you who've been following our ministry. We are just gracious and excited about what God is going to do next. I have an awesome word from the Lord today. We're going to be talking about the benefits of waiting on God. Did you catch that? The benefits of waiting on God. Once again, this is Pastor Anderson, Overflow Outreach Ministries. It's a ministry where we do just what it says. We outreach, outreach, outreach, outreach. The Lord, he has commissioned all of us to go out and spread the gospel. The gospel is the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus Christ. It also has spiritual ramifications as well. The death is repentance from dead works. The burial is being baptized in Jesus' name. The resurrection is when we are coming out that water, receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, walking in the newness of life. We just thank God for Jesus. Amen. If it wasn't for Jesus dying for our sins, we wouldn't be nothing today. Again, the benefits of waiting on God, we're going to come from Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31. We're just excited about our ministry. God is elevating, sending us forth because at the end of the day, if we're not saving souls, what is the point of it all? We just thank God for each and every one of you. Real quick, we're going to go into prayer. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, we just thank you for waking us up, starting us on our way. You didn't have to do it, but you did. For that, we say thank you, Lord. We just thank you for life, health, and strength. Lord, we just ask you today, circumcise the ears of your people so that they have a love for the truth, O God. Lord, we just thank you. We ask you to forgive us for all our sins, Lord, things that we can see and things that we can't see, O God, Lord, for we want to be saved when you come back. Lord, we just thank you for food, clothing, and shelter, O God. Lord, we just thank you for all the blessings, things you've done, things you're doing right now, and the things that you are going to do. Lord, we just thank you. We ask you to go for us this week. Bless us in spiritual places, Lord. There are things that your people are asking of you, Lord. We just ask you, Lord, to do it and just build us up spiritually, O God, Lord, and give us a mind to do more for you. We live in the lukewarm age, and we live in a time where people do not openly confess your name, and they also don't openly deny your name as well. So, Lord, we just ask you right now, Lord, to bless us to be more on fire for you. Send your Holy Spirit on down, Lord, in a supernatural way. And, Lord, we just thank you. We honor you. Those who are sick right now, Lord, battling illnesses that they're not telling people about, Lord, we just speak healing over their life. We plead the blood right now, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Lord, we just thank you for the benefits waiting on you, Lord. And for the praise magnified and glorified your name is in Jesus' name we pray. Amen, amen, amen. Yes, Isaiah chapter 40 verse 31 today, and it reads, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint. Wouldn't it be good to walk and never get tired, not faint? Wouldn't it be excellent to run and not get weary? And wouldn't it be something to see if you could have wings like an eagle and just fly as high and as long as you could? But watch this, in the Spirit you can do these things if you just wait on the Lord. God is going to renew your strength today, but you have to wait on God. And so I'm going to do a three-part series actually. I can't cover all of this in one setting. So we'll just label this the first part of the benefits of waiting on God. Waiting on God renews our mind. Yes, it does. Waiting on God, it renews our mind physically, spiritually, and emotionally as well. Waiting on God just want us to wait on Him so we can heal emotionally. A lot of us have been through a lot of things in life that people just don't understand and or know. But when you wait on the Lord, God will heal you emotionally. Now watch this, spiritually you can't do anything in and of yourself. You can have all the knowledge in every library in the world. But if you do not have the Holy Ghost, it doesn't mean anything. You know Jesus told Nicodemus, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. And Paul put it like this, through the direction of the Holy Spirit, he said, the natural man receiving not the things of the Spirit of God is foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, for it is spiritually discerning. And so listen, if we don't wait on God at the time of the refreshing, we will not have spiritual understanding. These are one of the benefits, this is one of the benefits of waiting on God. And then physically, God will give us the strength to run further. And so the scripture is true, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint. Notice what the scripture says in Romans 12 and 2, we are encouraged, we are encouraged to renew our minds daily so that we may know God's will and that God will renew our strength as we wait on Him. Now this is the deal, this is the deal. If you want your mind to be renewed, you have to be encouraged and you have to wait on God. Through the Word of God, but it's impossible to know the will of God if you're not reading the Word of God, meditating on the Word and praying every day. Amen. We cannot do anything apart from the Lord. Hallelujah. We need the Holy Spirit in our life. Just like Acts chapter 2, 1-4, it says, When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. Amen. We need to wait, we need to tarry and wait on the baptism of the Holy Spirit so that we can do the things that God has purpose in our hearts and minds to do. The Scripture says, And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as a fire, and it sat upon each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. Wouldn't that be something, be sitting in church in service with the Lord, for the Lord, fellowshiping with one another, and all of a sudden the entire church was filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance? Often times we don't have the strength to do what God has called us to do because our salvation is not complete. A lot of us have been baptized but we're not filled with the Holy Spirit. Amen. This is one of the benefits of waiting on God. God is going to renew our strength but just like the prophet Zachariah declared, it is not by might nor by power but by God's Spirit said the Lord of hosts. Amen. Once again, this is Pastor Anderson, Overflow Outreach Ministries. I'm reaching out to you today if you have not been baptized in the name of Jesus. I plead with you, please get baptized. You have to repent, you have to turn away from sin, you have to acknowledge, you have to publicly declare that we all have a sin nature and you have to repent and be baptized in his name and at the time of the refreshing, one of the benefits of waiting on God, he will fill you with the Holy Ghost. Once again, this is Pastor Anderson, the Overflow Outreach Ministry. Once again, we are reaching out to you. You've tapped into the encouragement corner and God has commissioned us to be an encouragement to one another. This is part one of a three-part series, the benefits of waiting on God. Those out there who have never been baptized and the Lord is pulling on your heart and you've turned from sin and you acknowledge that you are a sinner, you have confessed him as your personal Savior and you want to be saved, contact us at any time during the day. We are willing, we are here and we will take you down in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. It is not a problem. We are reaching out to you right now. We love you all in Jesus name.
