The speaker feels lucky because there is no accountability at their school. They were able to write their own program for certain courses. However, there is pressure to improve data and make the school look better. They are encouraged to have the media and marketing manager observe their innovative and creative activities in the classroom for social media promotion. I've been really lucky where I am as there's really no accountability. When I arrived at the school that I'm working at now, there was no program written for some of the courses, so I was able to write the program myself. But within the school context in which I work, there's a really big push for data to improve our data to make us look better as a school. I've often been told to get the media and marketing manager into my classroom when I'm doing something innovative and creative so that we can then publish it on our social media pages.
