This is a podcast called "Slouching Towards Journalism" hosted by Anna Mares and Noah Worley, two college students in Chicago. They discuss journalism and provide advice for aspiring journalists. They talk about their love for journalism movies and following their favorite journalists on Twitter. The podcast aims to dissect the work of famous journalists, interview editors and published journalists, and help listeners pursue careers in journalism. They encourage everyone, including those who are unfamiliar with famous journalists, to keep listening. So we need to start with something that's funny and ironic, like, ah, you're so funny, this is so fun. And then it'll cut to the rest of the audio, and then we'll have our podcast, right? So something like that. Welcome to the Slouching Towards Journalism podcast. I'm Anna Mares. And I'm Noah Worley. We're two college students in the Chicago area with Storyteller Souls, navigating the confusing and at times overwhelming world of journalism. This podcast is designed for idealists, wannabe journalists, and those fine-tuning their craft. We're journalism movie connoisseurs, podcast absorbers, and Twitter stalkers of our favorite journalists. And we want to equip you and your fellow Rory Gilmore loving friends as you navigate the world of journalism and land a job in media. This podcast is for lovers of Murrow, Woodward, and Didion, and all the niche kids on our newspaper staff. If you didn't know any of those names, don't worry about it. Stay on the podcast. A short bit ago, we were just as lost as all of you. That's why we will be dissecting the work of journalism giants, talking tricks of the trade with editors and published journalists, and slouching towards careers in journalism together. So stick around and give it a listen. Goodbye and good luck.
