Nothing to say, yet
Lord I come before you today, I want to say thank you, I give you praise, I give you glory, I give it all over to you because without you none of this is possible Lord, I lift each and every person up to you Lord, I ask that you come into them and you give them the wisdom, the understanding, and the knowledge, open their ears Lord, their hearts and their minds to you, today Lord I give it to you in Jesus name, Amen. Hey there, today's episode I'm going to be talking about faith and blessings, and I'm going to be real with you, it's taken me a minute to get this episode out, not just this episode, but I've had many ideas and it's like the devil has been distracting me. So today we're going to talk about faith and blessings, God's blessings that is, and it talks about this in the Bible so many different times with just a little mustard seed, which it talks about in Mark 4.31, Matthew 3.31, Luke 13.19, Luke 17.6, Matthew 17.20, just a little mustard seed can go a long way in faith, and I'm going to read to you Matthew 17.20, it states, he replied, because you have so little faith, truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move, nothing will be impossible for you. So this is where I'm going to begin. God is so good, God is so great, God is so amazing, more than I can even put into words. Our God does not lie, our God is a God of promise, which brings me to faith and allowing him to bless you. It's hard sometimes, I'm one to say that it is hard to allow God to bless you when you feel so undeserving, but that's exactly where we're going to start today. I want to talk about faith and prayer. I am no expert at prayer, but I have been learning that in prayer, you need to have true faith in what you are praying for, and believe God can do it. I may sound crazy, but God will give you what you are asking for, so for example, if you are struggling because you don't have a job, and your finances are out of this world, and you don't know how you're going to pay your bill the next month, or you don't know how you're going to put food on your table, God will provide. And I'm not saying like you pray, and it's just going to pop and appear in front of you, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying you need to have faith, and as my journey has led me here today about praying and having faith, I want to explain some things to you. When I say I'm talking about prayer and praying, I'm talking about being specific in what you are praying for. Yes, God knows your heart, He knows what you need, or what you're lacking, He knows your sorrows, He knows your pain, He also knows what He needs to provide for you. But sometimes, you need to ask God specifically what you are praying for, because God wants to hear it from you. Don't allow the devil to block the blessings God has for you, because God is not moving fast enough. And you begin to lose faith, because it's not happening in the time that you want it to happen. If you ask and believe God can do it, He will. God can move that mountain. It may not happen overnight, but it will happen. Maybe He's moving rock by rock, but you will see it move. He may not answer your prayers the way that you think, but He does and He will, only if you ask Him. It talks about this in the Bible, ask and you will receive. He will open the door for you, just like I was saying in Matthew 7, 7, it talks about this exactly, ask and you will receive. I had a conversation the other day about how we are not taught to ask God for specifics in prayer, because we may feel that we don't deserve it, or that He is blessing us enough already. But I have also been learning by reading the Bible that God wants to bless us. He wants us to have abundance. He wants to shower us. He wants to give us gifts and love. It's hard to ask when you don't believe He'll provide it. I'm going to show you and I'm going to explain how God has blessed me more than I could even imagine or even think that I was going to even get. Because I was so desperate and I was at my wits end, I prayed and I surrendered myself to Him. I didn't lose faith in God, but it started to look hopeless. But I surrendered myself to Him and gave it all to Him, truly believing He was going to answer my prayers. And He did more than I thought was even possible. So a couple months ago I lost my job and it was getting difficult financially for my family. I had applied to job after job after job and I heard nothing. I went to college. I have a degree. I thought, no big deal, I'll find a job. But nothing was happening. I was stuck. I was still. And in that time, I learned God was pruning me for the next destination. I turned to God and I asked Him to bring me a job that would allow me to financially help contribute to my family. Bring me to a place I can fulfill your purpose, God. Bring me to a place I can fulfill what you have for me, what you want from me. Bring me to a team that will respect me. Because I have been in jobs where I was not valued. I was treated horribly. And sometimes God takes you from those places for a reason. Because of the toxicity. Because the devil is trying to draw you back to Him. Back to the same cycle to believing you are nothing, that you are worthless. But God has another plan. So in those times of loss, in those times that He takes you away, draw closer to Him and see what He can do for you. In those times that you are in a toxic work environment, or whatever it may be, a relationship, in life, the friends that you have, God says, no, I will not allow my child to be treated like that. And let me tell you, I got you, God says. I will get you through. I will carry you. I will make a way for you. I have gone before you. I know what lies ahead. So in that desperation, I got on my knees, and I poured out my heart to God. I gave it all to Him, and I let Him take over. And when I tell you, the jobs poured in. I interviewed for a job, and they called me a half an hour later, offering me the position. And then I got interview after interview, and offer after offer. And I know it was God. He was letting me know He heard my cries, and He was moving on my behalf. He not only answered my prayers for the job, He gave me a job with a higher salary. And the benefits kicked in the day that I started. I was working from home 85% of the time. He knew, and only He knew what He was doing, because He knew we only had two vehicles for four people, and transportation was an issue. And I'm not telling you all this to be boastful. I'm telling you this because only God can do this, and only God can answer your prayers, and give you so much more than what you are asking for, if you believe, and you have a little faith as big as a mustard seed. So be specific, and surrender it all to God, because He is listening, and you will see Him move mountains in your life. This is just the tip of the mountain He has moved for me. In another episode, I will be talking about how God moves in those around us. And you have to allow God to bless you through others. Don't block those blessings, because that's exactly what the devil wants you to do. And because you too can be a blessing, once your blessings hit you, and eventually one day, you'll be the answer to somebody's blessing, that somebody is searching for. So my question for you, are you ready to pray, and be specific in prayer? Are you ready to put all your faith in God, and let Him answer those prayers? Are you ready to allow that mustard seed to grow into a ginormous tree in God? Because that's what it is. You are rooted in God, and those roots grow with you, and you become so amazing, so strong in God, that the devil cannot defeat you. God will be with you through it all. When you can't fight, God will fight for you. God is so good. Allow Him to be good in you. So until next time, keep bibling, keep praying, keep spreading God's word. Lord, I come before you today, and I thank you for every person listening. I lift each and every person up to you, Lord. I give you thanks. I give you praise. Whatever anybody is going through, Lord, I ask that you fill them with the Holy Spirit. You come into their lives, and you allow them to surrender to you, because you have the answer to their prayers, and only you can fulfill their life with your purpose and your will. In Jesus' name, amen. Oh, that I could celebrate with you in the earliest breath, and I never would forget when I think of how you blessed me. How your lessons never let me go. They never let me go.
