Featuring experts, practitioners and pioneers from the field, every episode offers a fresh perspective on the strategies that are shaping a more sustainable future. Hi, I'm Michael. After years as an engineer in management, I founded my own consulting firm focused on sustainability solutions. Since retiring, I've tackled puzzles that align seemingly conflicting interests and discovered win-win strategies with my clients. My hands-on experience with making my home more energy efficient through installing solar panels, setting up a car charging station, adding battery storage and improving roof insulation has given me practical insights into sustainable living. In addition, I actively support a foundation dedicated to ocean ecology, serving as a catalyst for real-life progress. My wife and my son noticed my fascination with podcasts and know how much I enjoy explaining interconnected topics. They suggested I channel this passion into creating my own podcast. As a natural optimist and father of two wonderful kids, I resist gloomy predictions about our future. We probably live in the best world we ever had, with the promise of making a meaningful life accessible for a growing part of the world population. It is imperative that we keep this spirit alive by learning and sharing how each of us can contribute meaningfully. Therefore, I've created Michael's Green World as an antidote to skepticism. A podcast that explores the science behind how everything is connected. We'll look at why things happen the way they do and explore smart, technology-based ways we can make a real difference. In this podcast, we'll sit down for a chat to connect the dots between today's technology and the hopeful future. I'll bring together friends, experts, thinkers to explore how everything from the ecosystems to our economies are interconnected. We'll discuss how changes are necessary across all aspects of life and how every corner of the globe is part of this big picture. I pick up stories of success and failure to learn from. Both are important to us since they provide the knowledge essential for survival and growth. Imagine the magic of turning sunlight into power for our cars, designing planes that might one day run on hydrogen, or deploying new water-saving technologies that could transform lives in the driest parts of the world. These aren't just dreams. The tangible possibilities needing only the push of leadership, innovation, and willpower to become part of our everyday lives. Join me as we uncover the solutions already making a difference and imagine those yet to come. Together we can inspire each other to build a future where progress and sustainability aren't just compatible but mutually reinforcing. Welcome to Michael's Green World Competitive Sustainability. Watch out for the next episode of Michael's Green World. I hope you enjoyed the time with us and come back for more on how to bring together our sustainable and economic progress.
