The speaker discusses their obsession with a reality TV show and how it has been fulfilling during a lonely time. They introduce their podcast and discuss different couples from the show, sharing their thoughts and opinions. They also talk about the challenges of living in different countries and the dynamics between the couples. They question the authenticity of some of the relationships and discuss the struggles of coming out. Overall, they share their excitement for future episodes and their interest in the show. What? Hi. A lot of free time. But I am 100% hooked on this show. I will give you 100% of the credit, but I do – well, maybe 95% because I was living in what I thought was a very lonely place during a very odd time. And so I had a lot of free time to watch reality TV. And it's been life-changing because it's been – no, no, it's been very fulfilling. Yes, there's definitely a surplus of episodes. I love UK. I love UK and I love chicken. Yeah. But I am Mai, and this is our very first 90-Day FianBae podcast episode. Yeah. What is the debate? Do you want to clarify? I think it makes sense. I just don't think the C is necessary. But before – I mean, I do think it's nice that we leave it up to the listeners to take charge. I don't think you and I should continue with this debate just because our friendship is important to me. So I – and more importantly, if we no longer have a friendship, we no longer have a podcast. We cannot. We simply cannot. That's right. That's right. That's a lot of control and a lot of power. All right. Do you want to just dive right in? That's right. All right. Season 10, Episode 1. This is – no, it's Season 10. I Googled it. Episode 1. The original, by the way, this is not a spinoff. This is the OG 90-Day FianBae from the franchise. This is not the other way. This is not the UK. This is the original. Right. No, I hear you. I do think the other ones are more interesting just because you get to go to different countries and see how others live. That's always more fun. Okay. Let's do that. That's one of our favorite couples. I have a love-hate connection. I have a love-love relationship with Jasmine. She is an amazing person. I think it depends on how you choose to interpret amazing. Right? But I love that about her, that self-awareness. Right? And the fact of the matter is she recognizes all these things about him, but despite all that, she still loves him. She still finds him attractive. But it's – right. I agree. It is mind-boggling. But at the same time, he also really loves her, which in many ways is also mind-boggling because she's insane. But wait. But I have a question. I have a question. Do you think she's absolutely nuts because that's who she is, or do you think she's hamming it up for the show? A hundred percent. You don't think any of this is a little bit overrating? Is it me? Okay. I do think that she's intrinsically a nice person. I think she may be a nut with Gino and she may be very rough with him, but I think, like, outside of Gino, she's a kind and a nice person. She seems sweet. But that's because I think she's threatened by them because she's worried that they're going to tell him that, hey, you know, this girl is not for you. Yes. What – I thought it was nothing. I thought she was – it was nothing. Nothing. It could also be – exactly. I agree. And I also think, was or not, it's also possible because she said Florida, right? It's also possible that they have children and it's the kids' spring break. I don't know. Okay. But maybe it's spring break. Yeah. That's true. And one was interested and cares to attend your wedding, which is very nice. Yeah. That's true. Well, I mean, innocently, do you think it could have been like – because, you know, I'm not the best texter. Like, I don't – I'm not – Kayla, how are you? Like, maybe it was just too abrupt and she read in the wrong tone. Yeah. Yeah. I will say that 99.9% of my texts and emails could very easily be construed as rude because I just get straight to the point. I don't say, hey, how are you? Yeah. But I will say that 90% – no, but I will say 90% of it, my intention was to be rude. So, yeah, yeah. Wow. Mm-hmm. No, I think she has self-awareness. She just doesn't care. That was – that was my – I mean, I don't know if that's my favorite part. My favorite part was when he refused to buy a treadmill because it was $200. This is – yeah, this is like Facebook marketplace or something, right? I would be enraged if some stranger brought a crew over, came over with a test out my shit and – no, she – maybe, well, I mean, okay, but, like, maybe if Darcy came over, I could eat the $200, but Gino, no. I thought she has two kids. Uh-huh. Right. Pick your favorite. What do you mean? She has two. How could you not bring your kids? I think they don't live with her now, but I think the – if you're the dad, if you're the dad and you have custody of the kids and the tradeoff is, hey, there's a chance that our kids could go to America, you would suck it up and be like, yeah. As an immigrant, and while I agree that not everyone thinks America is a great place to live, as an immigrant, I do think that the majority of immigrants do want the opportunity to be in America, right? And so – But why do we assume that she doesn't live with her children? She just doesn't live with her children on camera when we watch. How do we know that? Because – but, see, that's the thing. Like, if you're on a reality show, maybe their dads don't want them on TV, but that doesn't mean she doesn't live with them. Like, for – Oh. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Let's move on to Sophie and Robert. Drop the knob. That's right. I think everyone knows that. I think people know that, right? Yeah. Sophie is independent – well, not independently wealthy. She's very dependently wealthy based on her family. How do you not know? Right, right. No. Yeah. London is very expensive. And she's 23, which is a child, which is very, very young. And I'm sure there's a mature 23, but still, like, financially speaking, that's a very expensive lifestyle for a 23-year-old. So my question is, if you have grown up comfortable – like, I don't even know what rich means. Like, wealthy. I don't know what that means, right? And so – but let's say – let's just say she grew up comfortable, right? If I grew up comfortable, which, by the way, I did not, I would never – I just know myself – go and move to a different country and live in the quote-unquote hood where their bathroom is external to the apartment, where there's raccoons hanging out while I shower. When I – when I was – I literally had PTSD when I saw this, because when I was in undergrad, I dated this guy for, like, two years. And I mean, in the grand scheme of things, I actually don't even remember that relationship at all, except for the fact that he lived in an apartment – well, not an apartment, but, like, a duplex house converted into various rooms kind of thing, where the bathroom was down the hall. Like, it's not even, like, a hall in a house in a hall. Like, it's weird, outdoor. It's like an outhouse, okay? It was literally this same setup. And I would just never go to the restroom when I was there. I never spent the night either, but I just wouldn't – well, I mean – No. No. I barely even want to pee at 2 in the morning in my house now. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So she can be – so she can be divorced and happy in her 30s. I kind of think that this is for the gram. Yeah. I think this whole thing – I don't know about him. Yeah. I mean, once you're on TV, then you automatically add viewers, and then you just do other things. But I don't understand. She seems pretty chill. Like, right? I mean, if I were her – yeah. She's not that girl in the UK. She's not that Tian girl. She's not that, right? No. So I was like – Who, Tian or Sophie? Yeah. By marrying a loser? Sure. Yeah. Maybe. I mean, I can't say. I don't know. But I don't know how many issues you have to have to be willing to, like, live in this kind of a place. Yeah. Well – Well – Well, I'm very excited for the airport proposal. Yeah. Yeah. It's – Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I also want a very, very hot girl. But they – I think they find each other very hot. Well, they find each other very hot, and they're both Instagram models, so that makes sense. Mm-hmm. Yeah. A hundred percent. But also, she's, you know, trying to date chicks on the side, so there's that, too. But conveniently said so on camera. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I'll be very honest. The coming out process is not a simple process because I've had to do it. But if I have held it in for so long and not tell any – not a single soul, not even her mom – not even her mom, and she said her – her mom is her best friend, she said, and she didn't even tell her mom, and she even said my mom is not like a mom-mom. She's more like a friend. And yet, you tell the entire world? Very strange. Calculating. All right. We're good with them? Yep. Okay. I literally told my partner this. I was like, I know lots of – lots of African-American Ashleys. I don't think it's that unique. I have never met an African-American Sarah. Have you? Okay. Yeah. The 90s? Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Uh-huh. Yep. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. That – that's – that's the only thing that's concerning to you? Mm-hmm. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. No, I think you're correct. It's very strange that she was doing that. Was she on the freeway? I couldn't tell. Or was she already, like, in the airport, you know? Yeah. It did seem very dangerous. And I didn't like how they started and ended with that, because I was just like, okay, this is... Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Igor. Oh, yeah. So, okay. Let's jump into the obvious. Do we think Nikki is 47 years old? Mm-hmm. Right. Right. Mm-hmm. Right. And don't you think if you're going to spend all that money on plastic surgery, you would spend money on making yourself look younger? Mm-hmm. She just looks so much older to me. I do not understand. And I... You know, there's a scene where she's like, oh, you know, you're worried because everyone's staring at us, because I'm, you know, because you're worried that they know that I'm Amanda. I'm like, no, they... Mm-hmm. Exactly. You look super weird. And you have a camera crew with you, so everybody's going to look. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Exactly. Okay. Do we think Igor is cute? Yeah. The age. Mm-hmm. I think they said 18, but I'm like, are we sure he was 18? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I did the math. I did the math, so there's an 11-year age difference. So supposedly, if he was 18, she was 29. He's 36, and she's 47. Yeah. But were you a fan of dating somebody for two years only to find out that they used to be a different gender? Mm-hmm. Or maybe... In the 90s. I mean, I hear you. She did do it in the 90s. Yeah, there's got to be, you know, the technology is different now, technique's different now, so I understand all that. Maybe, I mean, he's from Moldova. Maybe it's just like a small town where you just don't even think that... Young, very young, like 18, 19, or, you know, 16. Who knows? Yeah, I don't know. I think the fact that she didn't tell him for two years was shady. I do know that there's a lot of nuance with, like, telling people certain things, but if you're intimate with somebody, like, this is not a one-night stand. This is not one week of fucking... This is a two-year relationship. And didn't she... Yeah, like, didn't she say that they were? Yeah, they were on a K-1. So I don't even know if, like, they were already living here together and then this, like, you know what I mean? That's like he left his whole life. Yeah. Like, he... It's messed up. He left his family to start a whole new life with this person who he doesn't even know, apparently. So I think that's very strange. It doesn't look like, on the preview, it doesn't look like he's all that comfortable now about her gender. I know, but you romanticize... When you're in a long-distance relationship, you romanticize it when you're long-distance because that's all you have. But when you're together, it's like all these little things get on your freaking nerves, you know? You don't think about all the negative things when you're long-distance because you just miss each other all the time. Yeah. He... Well, I mean, this must have happened 20 years ago because that's how she met Jeffrey. So, at the same time, maybe he ghosted her and didn't call her when he got deported because he's like, yo, I'm married anyway. You know? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. You know? And so he would just... I mean, it's... Well, I don't know if Justin is a bad boy, but Igor is definitely a bad boy. Yeah. Yeah. But I think we can find this guy. Yeah. No. I think there's at least two or three. There's definitely one whose mom lives in a closet. That one, yes. Uh-huh. Yes, yes. Yeah. There's another couple. I think he's... I can't tell if he's Japanese or Korean. I couldn't tell. And I think she's, I think, British or American. Anyways. Yeah. Yeah. At least two more. At least two more. Yeah. But I think it's going to be a good season. Yeah. I mean, there's no way they're ever breaking up if they haven't broken up already. They're, like, in it for the long run. Yeah. I just... A hundred percent. A hundred percent. I mean, but she made out, like, a gamut, right? Like, she got move job, butt job, so much free plastic surgery because he paid for all of it. She has a presence on Instagram. Drake follows her. Drake follows her on Instagram. See? Yeah. There we go. There we go. There we go. In Michigan. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. But I do think that she's nicer than Paola. I mean, she wants to have sex with Gino. Like, she wants to. No, my point is, Russ and Paola are, like, on the same level when they first started. Yeah. They're equal. They're on equal standing. Like, there's no... Yeah. But Jasmine is, like, in... Yeah. She's, like, in love with Gino. That's right. Yeah. And she fully accepts him. Like, she's like, okay, wear your hat. You know? Oh. Can anybody imagine Gino being proud of his penis? She's going to kill you for even imagining his penis. Okay. Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I'm very excited. I'm very excited. I hope we have another breakout star a la Darcy, but I just don't see it happening. Yeah. There's only so many Darcy's. There's only so many Jasmines. There's only so many Soulja Boys. And I just don't think... I don't see it in this group. Yeah. I love... And yeah. There's no one else. Or maybe Lisa. Like, there's no one else like him. Yeah. That's right. You know he's coming back. There's no way he's not coming back. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Okay. We're out. See you guys next week.
