The speaker had a short but enjoyable time as an FCC admin, but was demoted by Omar. They had believed that FCC would care for them, but now feel betrayed. The speaker compares this to the South seceding from the Union after Lincoln's election. They declare their freedom and blame Omar for their situation. Welp, had a good run. My time as an FCC admin was short but sweet while it lasted. I wake up to my morning ritual and check my notes. If anything was FCC related, I would immediately hop on and give a reply. If there was a match, I'd join. If there was a forum, I'd read. FCC adminning gave me a lot more to do. It was a very important job, no kidding, and sometimes tiring. But the feeling of holding this power has even made my arduous task of checking every single FCC notification enjoyable. And that's when I lost it. At the slight movement of Omar demoting me, I see the end of my life at FCC. I went to some clubs, not just on Chess.com, and the members mean less than nothing to the admins. But when I stepped in, I believed I had a saviour, a club that I can enjoy being in for the rest of my long life. I believed that FCC was able to care for me, my feelings and needs at once, up until now. When the 1860 election ended, Lincoln won by an Electoral College landslide. His name didn't even appear on the ballot in 11 states, but still, he won. Seeing this, the South chose to secede, breaking the pact with the Union, leaving the country. They were done being part of a slave-free country. This act, this immoral act, this act I can't even describe, is the last straw that breaks the camel's neck. Omar jumps in, saying that he has called me out for several things I have done. What other things have I done than locking a roster in a team match? What else have I done? What else? Everyone can declare their freedom, whether that's from a club, a city, or even a country. So thanks to this act, I'm declaring mine today. In case you don't bother to listen to all of that, I'm speaking to about 99% of people here, here is the basic story. Don't blame the acts, blame the executioner.
