Hello, welcome to Military News Podcast. I'm Xinye Li. I'm Xiaochu Wu. I'm Siyi Wu. I'm Wenqi Dong. Today, our podcast will focus on the recent Russian-Ukrainian war. As you know, the Russian-Ukrainian war began in February 2022, more than 400 days ago. The impact of this war has been enormous, with 350,000 casualties as of May this year and considerable losses on both sides. We will be comparing different media reports and discussing these news. Guys, what do you think? First up, Biden and Zelensky discussed the war in Ukraine and the United States support the Ukraine in a news report for the wealthy of America. The Ukrainian president said the war must put pressure on Russia. The new feeling embodies the position of the United States. I also read an article in the Beijing Evening News about the United States' stirring collaborations in the Russian-Ukrainian war and its financial support for Ukraine. The news forms a perspective of mountain peace, guiding the reader to take the opposition position from the United States. It mentions that the American Department of Defense has announced another $775 million in military aid to Ukraine in order to strengthen the Ukraine position in the negotiations. This news seems to be trying to show that the United States does not want to restore peace as soon as possible. I read a similar reel in which the Zhizhou News, the original article, stated the United States is increasing sanctions against Russia and is doing so to prop up Ukraine as a pro-Western puppet. And it further states that in this way, the United States wants to weaken and confront Russia in order to preserve its own hegemony. The wording and focus of this news item is biased against the United States and it enrages the readers by the impression of the United States. But I read a news on Fox News that the biggest gender between the Russian-Ukrainian war was actually China. Because while the Americans and Russians were spending hundreds of millions on the war, China was using the opportunity to travel with foreign countries. The news uses a Chinese pro-vibe. As two tigers are fighting in a vibe, a monkey is sitting on top of a mountain, looking down and waiting to see how it will end to describe the current situation. Although this news article is subjective and without a clear basis, the writer leads to the reader to believe that China is the real winner. China has indeed gained benefits. I read in China's Global News that since the start of the war in 2022, Russian-Chinese trade stands at $190 billion, up 29% year-on-year. But as the news is for the Chinese people, it believes that China's support for Russia is in line with the developing trend of a multipolar world. This is very much in line with the position of Chinese readers. And the other views I read in the Beijing Evening News suggests that the United States is also drawing a lot. So they do not want the conflict to stop. One of them is that they sign an agreement that requires Ukraine to guarantee future repayment of related aid in the form of substitute sovereignty. This news article also has a critique of the United States. Did you guys see any other related news? I read an article in Nine News that Australia has also assisted Ukraine and Antonia. The Ukrainian reviewer spoke of how grateful she was that she and her daughter had found refuge in Sydney, Australia, fulfilling the Russian invasion. The news article describing Australia's assistance to Ukraine went along a very generally simple theme from the readers. However, another news article I read from Fox News mentioned that, in fact, American legislators were beginning to complain about the hundreds of millions in support to give by Biden. And in a news article in the Wall Street Journal, Jack Greenwald said Washington is already emptying its own so-called legal weapons system. Neither of these two news articles are totally objective, and they would lead their readers to believe that it is not in the interest of Americans to control this war. So I'm wondering, in fact, is the American public going to be upset about this? The lives of the American public have actually been affected. As Spatial England News reports that while reaping huge benefits on many fronts, the United States is experiencing the worst inflection in 40 years, exacerbating the gap between rich and poor. This seems to lead readers to believe that the American government disregards the American people in order to garner benefits, besides their irresponsible behaviors. I'm really sorry to hear about this, and I hope they are doing well. This is our discussion of Russia-Ukraine war today. We hope that our discussion will give you an idea of the difference in the news broadcast by many media, and we will continue to follow the Russia-Ukraine war. Thank you for your listening. Enjoy your next day. Bye. Bye.
