The speaker discusses the importance of being a strong and responsible leader in their own "kingdom" or family. They emphasize the need to show up for their loved ones, make thoughtful decisions, and prioritize the well-being of their kingdom. They reject the idea of being a tyrant and believe in building a kingdom based on love and compassion. The speaker also mentions the importance of trust and belief in the king's leadership. They encourage listeners to embrace their role as a king or queen and rule their kingdom with peace and love. Grand Rise, It Shall Be Dope, Willie Whittle. This is the podcast. Let's get into it. So I wanted to speak on today some feelings about being the king of your castle, right? And simply put, what's a kingdom if the king ain't kingin'? So, there's a lot into this, right? And me being in charge of my regime, or my family, with my, you know, court of five, and anyone who's in my love circle, who shows me all the love and support that I need and super appreciate. What good is my kingdom if I'm the king that's just not kingin'? I have to show up for my kingdom every day. I have to be in the right mindset for my kingdom every day. And sometimes that takes a lot of, it takes a lot of thought, it takes a lot of energy, it takes a lot of compromise, compassion. And sometimes, you know, in a previous conversation that I had with someone this week, it takes a lot of sacrifice, which I don't care for that word whatsoever, but we'll get into that another day. When you choose the positions that you're in, and you wake up every day with a chance and a choice, some of those choices have to be towards the kingdom. And they have to be viewed as very well put together, very strong, very understanding decisions that most people may not understand. You have to be strong enough to feel like you're doing the right thing. What does it mean to wear the crown, right? What does it mean to wear the crown? Sometimes it means you got to make some people upset. Sometimes you got to tell them the truth about what you feel is going on. But the goal is for the strength of the kingdom, and to make sure that everyone in the kingdom understands that the kingdom is built with love. It's built with the compassion of the people. It's not just me holding these kingdom walls together. It's definitely you too. So there's a lot of things that I used to think about. Like before you provide correction to people, before you provide absolution to people, telling them like, you know, one of the, well, let me sidebar, one of the quotes that I never like to say is, because I said so, because that just says I'm a tyrant. It just rules out everything else. And we're not that. We're not tyrants. But it just, you know, what do you get from your king's regime? What do you get from me? What do you get from my power if I speak to you and I belittle you? I'm not offering you growth. I'm not offering you the kingdom as a safe space where you can be you. I'm just a teacher at this point. And I'm not a good one, you know, so no one wants to see a good teacher be in charge. In this kingdom, the widow kingdom, I like to call it, I am him. I am the teacher. I'm also a student. I'm humble, yet strong. Sometimes chaotic, but peaceful. I can understand when to stand back, and I can understand when war needs to be had. So with those dynamics, heavy is the head that wears the crown. I have to live with every decision that I make to make sure that my regime makes it. I want my regime to eventually be a dynasty. I want us to know that they will go on, and they will live great lives after. But they will understand that my dad, our king, he was kingin'. He made sure that we knew everything that we needed to know, and if not, he found out. If so, he taught us. He gave us the opportunity to learn it. Maybe, you know, led you to the water to just take a sip, but hey, this ain't the water you need to drink from. Now you know. One of my quotes that I took away from, I heard it from Ransom, rapper nowadays. If you're into rap, check him out. He's phenomenal. Simply put, a clown inside a palace can never become a king, but a kingdom and a palace may now be turned into a circus. You can't put a clown in charge. You can't put clowns in charge. I play a lot. I'm a playful soul. Don't get it twisted. I love to play around. I love to be me. That's who I am. But when I'm a king, I'm no clown. And my kingdom is not a circus. So we need to understand that when we are sitting together with your family, and they understand everything that you can do and will do and have done for the strength of your family, for the strength of your kingdom, then they know your heart's in the right place. Because guess what? Our missions are all the same. At the end of the day, our missions are all the same. Nobody wants turmoil. Nobody wants chaos. We all want peace. And as I say, peace is the mission. Which is a Major Lazer album, by the way. If anybody else is into Major Lazer, check that out. Peace is the mission. You don't send your knights at the round table out to go fight just because. You send them out there because you know for a fact that there's something that needs to be defended. And you defend it with every bit of love and honor that you have in your chest. And you believe in your knights. You believe in everybody who's doing the same thing for you. And then they have to believe that out of you. There is no folding here. There is no questioning here. Sometimes that's moving on good faith, I agree. But in a kingdom, there's an opportunity to believe in the king. Have you guys ever watched a movie where someone sits at the table, or sits in the kingdom chair or whatever, some high place. Most of the time it's like, here let me give you a better example. Me and my son was watching John Wick 4 the other day. And we kind of laughed because John Wick ended up being a cross from this guy in a purple suit, had gold teeth, which I thought was awesome because I like purple, one. Two, I want gold teeth, but I'm probably not going to get any. And he was a big dude. So I'm like, a big dude with gold teeth and a purple suit, that could be me. But instead, we looked and we said, what's this guy going to do against John Wick? John Wick killed 190,000 people and now it's this guy. And we seen this big guy get up and he was giving John Wick the business. And it was like, oh, he's giving him hell. And kicking and doing all these things. And I'm like, oh, this guy ain't no punk. We thought he was just a side character or something. But it was like, don't judge a book by its cover. So he sat at that point for a reason. Most people look at the boss and they'd be like, man, the boss ain't doing nothing. This is easy, easy work. We can do this easily. But when you trust and believe in the king because you've seen it, that's a different level of leadership. So I just want you to understand, people, it takes a lot to build a kingdom. It takes even more to maintain it. So kings, if you listen to this, even queens who run their kingdom, because I cannot exclude you ladies either. You guys are definitely doing it. If you get a chance, check out my girl Olive because she does some great things around her kingdom. And helping women understand their power also. So I just want to shout that out. But understand, if the king ain't kinging, then what good is the kingdom? We can't be clowns out here. We've got to be kings. So make sure that you rule your kingdom. You be the king that you're destined to be. And you continue down that path with a mission of peace through love. And as long as you do so, it shall be dope. Thank you, y'all.
