Omiros Solo

Amaros is in the city of Skikkoen, observing the cargo changes and transports on the docks. He is described as a 6'4" pale elf with brown hair and eyes, wearing a red and white captain's coat. Amaros is an elf from Anaphyl, a rare sight in Ossidian. He is on a pilgrimage and seeking answers about his unique body effects. He plans to visit the Two Swords of Time and the Tomes of the Deep library for information. He enters the library, a massive pillar with gargoyles and a spiraling staircase. So, we look down on the town, sorry, the city of Skikkoen, this is a coastal city on the eastern side of Ossidian. This is after a couple of our party members had already had a small little adventure with a temporary PC Glockus, and our half-orc Goliath, Moska, had just made their way back to Kiro, and we see our only party member from Anaphyl, named Amaros, within the Reef. He is on docks, probably observing just the cargo changes and the transports departing and making their way, coming in all the days before the fish festival. If you would like to, go ahead and describe your character, and tell me a little bit about him. Alrighty, I'm going to try to think of a really good way to describe him, um, let's see, identifying at 6'4", pale white skin, brown hair, brown eyes, brown hair, kind of in like a messy, kind of, like, ponytail bun sort of situation, a few parting strands going down his face, sharper facial features, Elvish in nature, Hyle in particular, flankier skin, you would see him donned a sort of, similar to like, a picture of a shrine maiden sort of outfit, but kind of these reds, like red sort of coloration over it, black, and, um, he would have this lantern that's probably the most apparent, that he'd be holding, this ever kind of moving, ever just burning flame, that, um, if he sort of focuses on it, it may go a certain direction here and there, um, backpack on his back, an amulet on him that maybe not many people would recognize, maybe even just tucked under the shirt, but, um, apart from that, he'd probably be, like you said, looking at the waves after everything, what time would it be this, at this point? Uh, let's say this is roughly, like, 9 or 10 in the, uh, morning, this would be, uh, the next day after the events with Glaucus. Okay. Um, by the way, I forgot, go ahead and draw a card. Can it be from the top, or can I do it from the bottom? Uh, from the top. Okay. Alrighty, do I read it? Ooh, wait, this is cool, I have this! Okay! You do have this. Alright. Um, actually, yeah, this would change the appearance a little bit. And you can, you can, that doesn't have to be the specific appearance, uh, appearance of the coat, you can play with it however you want. Um, just, uh, ooh, damn, okay, that's cool. Yeah, um, you know what, maybe instead of wearing that kind of, I mean, probably similar, but maybe just change the colors a little bit, maybe like this kind of reddish kind of color with, um, this sort of just white accent, more so like the, um, of this captain's coat. Yeah, just kind of invert the colors a little bit, it's red and white. At the end of, um, our last session, to conclude the, uh, story of Glockis within Skokoan, uh, Amaros had taken, uh, Gendo Erebus's captain's coat as a reward, and, um, it is not my liberty to say what this coat specifically does, but, yeah, it's cool, um, it, yeah, um, probably new, probably newly attuned to it, if that's okay, because I forgot to, but yeah, it would be the first thing I imagined. Yeah, um, that actually changes out a little bit, we're wearing that over it, um, under, yeah, that's pretty much be it, yeah, under his armor he would just have, under the, uh, this he would have, like, light armor, whatever, too crazy, kind of like the thing where they have, like, maybe, um, a shoulder pad, like an iron shoulder pad on, but not like the full, kind of like a medium, sort of, outlay, but yeah, um. So what brings Amaros to Ossidian? Let's see, he, what would it be known for, exactly? Ossidian? Ossidian is a, uh, continent known for, uh, three different tribes of orcs. Oh, I didn't even know that. It is a southern continent to Annapol, where, um, Amaros hails from, um, seeing a high elf out in this continent would be greatly rare, because while they have their differences, there can be some sort of biases between the orcs and, um, most types of elves of seeing orcs as these brutish, these, uh, grotesque and aggressive individuals, uh, kind of spacing these parties apart. Uh, though in Skikkoen you will see a handful of different races, gnomes, sometimes dwarves, sometimes kobolds, not only orcs, um, but a very, very scarce, um, amount of elves. Yeah. So as you, uh, even when you first arrived to Kiro, people were staring at you, not for any reason other than you were being, you, you were an elf. Yeah, um, majority of people here think he would just be there, um, he'd be very short if anyone really asked, he would just be kind of on a pilgrimage of sorts, pretty much, would be his answer, and he doesn't quite know where the destination is, but he just knows he needs to, it, it, it says let him hear, he's trying to find the answer for it, pretty much, he's pretty brief about it, um, if they push, he would probably get more distant answers, just to not, not push, maybe even just change the conversation topic. Right. Make sure to maybe, establish he's not a threat, but more so, like, he doesn't have the answer himself. All right, so, Amros, you find yourself, uh, a couple hours after the sun has risen, um, you feel fully woken up, and you have next two, three, maybe four days ahead of you where you don't have anything allocated for you to do, so, whatever you decide is, um, what you do. So. World right there. Just a reminder, you do have this water skin of, uh, roughly an ounce of, uh, blood of Talos, um, this is something that you've been seeking for since you initially came to, um, Sidian, and now you finally have it, but, that is not something that, if you feel like that's not an urgency to delve into, then feel free to do literally anything else. There would be a, um, when I'm not in the middle of the town type of situation, just to be sure, you know, wait a little bit, um, before, um, Amros' mind would go back to this conflict with, uh, how do you say, Erebos? Erebos? Erebos. Erebos. Um, there was some unique effects happening on his body, his mind would bounce back, um, his skin was beginning to, his fingertips were getting kind of seared and burnt, his skin was beginning to crack, almost like a stone with heat breaking through, causing this pain, not, they're not really pain, but this weird effect, and it was very concerning in the moment, the heat of the moment, there was nothing he could have really done, he just needed to focus on the task at hand, but now that he has a little bit of time, maybe before going and jumping the gun with this blood of Talos, um, if there's any information he probably has in mind, he's probably sitting at the dock, looking at the water, um, thinking about how the interesting part was, the more he fought off those, the more he fought off things, and eventually, like, the elementals and whatnot, it, the, the sears began to recede, and it was okay, but, um, didn't hear anything about this necessarily, so I'm just curious about maybe finding a library or some sort of place of knowledge for this, maybe even wherever it may lead him, but just to find if there is any answers on it, if not, no worries, but just seeking that, so if there was a place of knowledge that he may have been told about from Moscow, maybe, maybe check that out, maybe even go back to the Two Swords of Time and see if they might have come across that before. Right, so, um, Umarose, as you, uh, ponder on this, you, um, perhaps you did ask Moscow of this, um, they would let you know that perhaps Two Swords of Time does have an ailment or, uh, information regarding this, but there is also a library, um, on the northern plateau of Skikkoen, and you make your way towards the northern plateau portion of Skikkoen, the more well-built part of this city. Each of the buildings are constructed from stone, joining metals opposed to the commons. The reef and the slums, where most is made out of wood and heated clay, this is where you'll see a lot of the more, kind of, like, well-off merchants, um, and, um, higher middle class people residing, uh, definitely striking a difference between, like, the lower class, essentially the hobos, and the working people from the higher middle class. Yeah. Um, this part of the city does remind you of Ennifol, reminds me, or reminds you, of your home, in a sense. Um, not too long after you enter this part of town, you see directional signposts, some to an armory, one to Two Swords of Time, and one towards a library named Tomes of the Deep. For us to be interested, kind of thinking to ourselves, if we want to know how to, if you want knowledge on this before here, just in case there is something to do, or if there's something, just in case, to know what's more, a deeper meaning, so we can probably go to the Tomes of the Deep, you said? Yes, Tomes of the Deep. Like tomb, by tomb. Oh, okay. So we're looking at the sign, maybe, um, Ken kind of on his hip, kind of looking at it for a second, um, his hand, like, kind of curled, I can't explain it, just like, uh, just kind of thinking, sort of, sort of follow the direction of this library. Um, not a brisk pace, nothing concerning, but enough to be, like, a speed walk. Mm-hmm. You're making your way to this library, and, uh, after a few minutes, it looks like a massive pillar on the eastern side of town. Um, uh, I'm thinking, kind of like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Ooh, okay. Um, this library is easily eight, maybe nine stories tall, built of carved stone, with entrance doors leading from the path directly in front of you. Um, carved into the towering building are gargoyles, um, there is very healthy-looking moths, lining cracks, and a spiraling staircase on the outside of the building. You continue, yes? Yes, I think he's looking at it for a second, because it definitely stands out from the rest of the town. Right. Especially where I was. There are well-taken-care-of double doors that you push through as you make your way, uh, to this library. There's not a lot of people coming in or out, maybe one or two, as you're walking up. Um, and within this building, you see, um, just like the outside, the inside has essentially a corkscrewing stairwell of sorts, making its way all the way to the top. Um, you see that the ceiling is barely visible for how high up it is. What is visible, though, are rows and rows and rows of bookcases along this spiraling staircase. It's not essentially, like, a stairwell that just continues to grow up, but the, uh, flooring is just slightly slanted, so it provides this easy-going corkscrew all the way up. Um, the building is illuminated by moth lamps hanging from chains from the ceiling, uh, sconces near most of the bookcases, um, and so what you see before you, uh, is all washed in this yellow-orange light. And in the center of this room, you see essentially a rotunda of, um, a desk, and a gnome wearing a, uh, blue whatnot shirt. He's wearing a little red hat, and, uh, he doesn't look directly at you. He-he's-he's, uh, consumed in some of his own, um, dealings as you make your way in. He's probably thinking to himself, um, he'll probably just walk the gnome, and there's no reason it's custom, it's completely helpful or whatnot, so why not walk up to the gnome, just see if you can direct him to be trusting like that. So he's walk up and, um, kind of politely maybe just tap on the desk, try to get his attention. Hello? The gnome looks to you, and he says, Oh, hello! Hello. My name is Tibblenip Pebblepot. Oh, my name is Omaros. Nice meeting you. I have practiced saying that like 20 times. I have- can you say it again? Tibblenip Pebblepot. Your name is Omaros? Yes. Very good to meet you. Omaros. Well, what can I help you with today? Um, well, I was wondering if you have any books on magical ailments by chance, or just books in general? Can you be a little bit more specific? Because magical ailments can vary from wide to limited, and whether it's kind of like a blood scourge you're having within your stomach, or maybe necrochasms within your knees, or maybe blood warts? Um, it's, um, how do I explain it? It was just my fingers were burning, and my sim is cracking a little bit. Okay, okay, okay, okay. We will start with location. Do you- do you study in a specific domain? Do you follow a specific, uh, deity? I dabble with fire magics. My domain of praise would be a light domain. Okay, okay, okay. Um, so he puts down a couple of books that he was, uh, tending to, and puts down his, like, stamp press and stuff like that. He's like, you're gonna follow me! And so, uh, you see as this gnome walks pretty quickly, um, around, um, to probably the left side of the library, uh, behind a couple of bookcases, and, um, he casts a little spell on his boots, and he starts floating a little bit. He starts looking through a couple of these books of the section labeled, uh, evocation, and, uh, you're reading through, uh, some of the, uh, spines of these books, and some of them are pertaining to specific, like, necromancy magics, or, uh, more divine magics, um, and you see, uh, rolls up to this one section of fire magics, uh, primordial fire magics, and he's, um, looking through a couple. There's just essentially one shelf specific to, uh, primal fire magics, looking for, um, something a little bit more towards, um, reactions. And he's like, I'm having trouble finding, um, what you're looking for. We do have a little, um, here, I'll show you right now. Um, and he leads you a little bit further through some of the bookcases, um, the, the, uh, book aisles. Uh, he takes one left turn, another right turn, and you're getting, this library is looking a little bit more intricate than you initially had seen it was. This is starting to look a little bit like a maze. Um, and you hear someone else calling for him. Ta-da! And he looks at you, and he's like, oh, that must be my wife. Um, should I stay here? You're, the thing you're looking for is probably in this section around here. Uh, look through some of the books. Um, I will, um, find my way back to you once I finish what, with what I got going on with my wife right now. I appreciate that. Of course, go ahead. He, um, he, yeah. He scampers off, he skips away, and, um, you're left within this, uh, slightly darker area of bookcases. Um, and you're not at a dead end. You, um, you feel like he, uh, was meaning to continue a little bit further, but before you, the, the books on the shelves are a little more scarce, where there's only like two or three. Maybe, like, a lot of these books have been already checked out or something, or there just isn't a lot of knowledge in this section in the first place. Um, I was probably holding out his lantern, kind of, that light kind of guide him a bit. Um, he would kind of just begin to scan over the direction he was heading, like, kind of look around him and see if there's a certain, based on the titles of the books on the sign or whatever, he'd be kind of mirroring his eyes, looking at it, um, just sort of seeing if he could try to guess to where which one might be, so if it's like, okay, this might be closer, like, warmer, colder type of thing with the titles. Okay, um, you're looking at a couple tomes, some just kind of, like, deal, maybe one was just placed specifically for, like, basic wizard spells, starting age is the fireball, blah, blah, blah. You keep on combing through stuff that doesn't really pertain to you, and then you finally come across one that has a reddish-brown, um, leather bind on it, and, um, it looks a little damaged on the corners, a little scorched, and on the spine of it, it says Embers of Dawn. There's a couple other books near it, one named, uh, The Scorching. Probably start with, um, probably grab both of them, and probably just, considering it's such a maze, you'd probably sit for a second, just sort of start to, just slightly read through the Embers of Dawn a little bit to see the first couple pages, and kind of skim it a little bit, see if that would correlate with what he's looking for. And are these books in common, or are they...? Um, they have been translated, uh, to common. Um, there is no author on either of them, which is interesting, but, uh, as you're reading through the Embers of Dawn, you find that it's about this city. The Embers of Dawn are remnants of an archaic society that, with C'thun's guidance, manifested the first flames of this world. And I'll, I'll send you all of this, so you don't have to write it all down. Okay, I gotcha. Yeah, I'd probably go wide, kind of look at the pages a bit more accurate. I mean, it's just interesting at this point to him, um, reading through it, um, and you probably also skim the other, um, that's working as well, just to see if that also is something correlating. Um, as you continue going through the Embers of Dawn, you're finding word talking about how it was the city's duty to scour the lands to teach this art to the more primitive beings, selecting additional beings to be included. And once this was done, the Embers were free to develop their own city called Alacrity. Alacrity, its location hidden from all except the residents, after being built by the Embers, it prospered for decades before greed and hunger consumed some of the highest ranking members, called conflagrates. This city had hundreds of citizens. Some say the first to be giants, others say dragonborn, perhaps even the Goliaths. Assurance cannot be drawn due to lack of evidence. The city itself, though, not incredibly expansive, but housed its citizens comfortably and built entirely of stone and heat treated clay. The foods they were able to farm were mostly stone fruit, wheat, and meat sourced from allied cities. You're reading, um, some of this text and it, it sounds weird because it's not sounding like the societies you guys have today, where people are kind of like having power struggles or government struggles or farming struggles. This, this feels like maybe these people had been selective, selected by maybe their deity before anything else had developed, before fire had been even invented, not invented, but discovered. But this fire was granted to them to teach other cities, to allow other cities, other people to develop their own societies, but they essentially had their own headstart just because they were chosen. Yeah, I thought I was probably almost just inevitably compared to the conscious a little bit, um, just because it's very similar, kind of like somewhat isolated or shrouded in kind of elements a little bit away from the typical sort of runs of societies, really, and like trades and whatnot. There may be the odd trade here and there, but for the most part, it's not my focus. Right. You're drawing these conclusions too, while, when Amaros was talking about their conch, and how kind of like closely derived they were from the elemental plane. Yeah. Seeing that this very base elemental power was very close and, and important to them. A lot of wizards and sorcerers and warlocks and stuff like that, kind of like have their own subclasses of magics they have, they dip into like all of these different schools and stuff like that. But with one society, whether it be the tritons, whether it be these embers specific with one element, it feels like they know what they're doing, but they're not worried about any other anything outside of their city. Alacrity developed its income from master crafters, builders, summoners, chefs, and smiths. These skills were able to be made significant because of the heat resistance provided by Kasuth's faith. It would allow the tradesmen to work at higher heats, forge harder metals, and be safer all while doing so. Being inducted to Alacrity, each individual learns of different ranks of faith and their meanings. Some decided to retain their rank to pursue trade or family. Others focused on climbing to prove themselves to their deity. And so after you read this, it has a little list of five different ranks that each person in the city would be of. So first we have the Acolyte, the earliest of devotion. They are trained by clerics or knights after being chosen. They are provided their three trials and are allowed to depart prior to completing their second. Fulfilling their third trial allows them entry to the city and to access their art. An Ember, a citizen of Alacrity. Even if they have no residence, they are still allowed within the bounds. The first years of an Ember, they will spend a season shadowing with smiths, potters or weavers, chefs, traders, builders, to understand the workings of the city. And through their shadowing, they will speak with a conflagrate regarding their experiences and their will forward. So essentially, being an Ember is being provided the citizenship into the city. But after doing so, you have to go through and kind of like do the work. Yeah, you have to shadow somebody. Would summoning also be one you could shadow? That'd probably be the most interesting Elmeros. Right. Summoning is kind of, yeah, summoning was along the lines of what was able to be done. The summoners, you don't think that this is kind of like summoning monsters or anything like this. This was summoning specific temperatured flames to whether it's crafting, whether it's cooking, whether it's stuff like that. They would have essentially a summoner on staff to be specific to quelling these and maintaining the fires. It would be kind of like a subdivision of the work, kind of like lighting the fire before actually getting to work. Yeah. You would have probably an amount of time where different types of summoning for different types of tasks. This is the second time you have seen the word conflagrate though. Yeah. You probably immediately assume this is just a higher ranking member. The word conflagrate, if you don't already know though, conflagration means a wild, expansive, doesn't have to be specific to an explosion, but a wild force of fire. It could be an explosion, but isn't specific to explosions. It could be like fire, like igniting a dry field of wheat or something. The third rank after ember is a solar cleric or an ashen knight. Those to decide not to follow a trade will still choose one as a background, but majority of their time will be devoted to training and honing their art under vise of their conflagrate. They are granted time to find their apprentice and fulfill a journey. Fourth rank is conflagrate, a trusted member selective for more dangerous tasks. Occasionally found within adventuring parties for personal obligations of Kassoth or culling threats of the city. Conflagrates are some of the most dangerous individuals if banned from the city, but after being banned conflagrates are hunted if they are not allied with the city. And then finally we have cinder holder, the highest word of the city, responsible for the inner workings of the city, close advisements of each conflagrate, and often but not always the eldest of the city. Becoming a cinder holder could be done by spending years within each trade, mastering at least three. It could also be acquired by being chosen by the previous cinder holder and seeking judgment of Kassoth. So we have these multi-tiered systems where the acolyte would be chosen by a solar cleric or an ashen knight. Definitely Omaroth's reaction to this more so just to kind of like not to disrupt the information flow more so but his eyes are getting wider as he reads this because I mean it's been essentially describes his life so far it's his life in writing um you know it's just so you kind of just kind of sit with that for a second I pause for a little bit just kind of reflecting on just everything you know being so young and being with the trader and everything and then um out of nowhere just realizing that he's on that last trial right now right on his third trial and these weren't the other two were not easy by any stretch of the imagination they were exceedingly difficult and yeah you probably stare at the pages for just a little bit just almost almost like finding out like it's like like that truman show like that oh my god what is the world around me for a little bit that realization kind of some deep breaths and continue reading a little bit but yeah that's because that'd be his initial reaction not making much of a touch it's at this point sitting on the floor just having the lantern sit next to him just fully engaged in reading at this point and no one's really bothering you at all you no one's coming back to these shelves because they're a little bit more hidden away because they're less needed maybe um they're drawing these kind of like similarities through your life maybe um revenant at the time was a solar cleric or an ashen knight yeah and you were the one who he chose to um find as his apprentice and so when you're reading through this uh acolyte portion again it says that the uh they're allowed to depart prior to completing their second so if the first task had been too taxing for them too scary or too challenging maybe it was sounding like a lot better than the um acolyte had initially thought it was putting them to the test too much they were free to put it down say i call it quits and go back to their life yeah but these trials are specifically to do that and when you're reading over the last bit saying that they have access to their heart yeah you probably put one-to-one ratio of the art is of summoning this fire this power from the faith and kusa himself you haven't had a personal connection with kasoth yet you've only heard stories of him or his followers but you know with this guidance of this city and the different ranks that seems like definitely an option for you while revenant had been maybe a little bit more reclusive or withholding of some information on specific depths of what kasuth had or what his faith had meaning in it's you've definitely found the right tone to give you a little bit more historic knowledge on yeah the first followers as you finish through some of these pages you turn to the next page and you see a portion of this book completely burned the pages are seared away and it seems a little weird because oh well why wouldn't they just burn the whole book yeah this could be maybe a threat saying hey this information isn't allowed for everyone maybe something else is going on would it be possible any details of the burnt pages they're if not they're not lightly burned they're scorched there is intent to this yes okay you do have a secondary book yeah probably he wouldn't take the book he probably put it back he um in his mind it would be a lot of it he must be talking out loud at this point must be the head of someone else's like you wouldn't want to take that away from them because i mean this is a lot to take in for sure but it also is very almost grounding to a degree it's scary to see it's like there's organization to it people thinking this was a lot less than what it was he thought after the trials he was done and he was going to be at the same level and whatever and there's a lot more to it i put that back so if there is more they could come across this perhaps but you'd open up what the scorching the second one right the scorching this book looks less official this is more like a little notebook journal it's bound in uh skinned leather that's how old it is go ahead and give me a history or a conicheck you can't specifically tell especially in comparison to the other book yeah there are parts of this journal there are scorched as well but a little bit less of it the first couple pages either ripped out or scorched entirely you open up the first legible page though and it reads this hunger was occasionally called the scorching due to how its physical manifestation looked and felt as if the user of armorial magic was being deeply burned or seared by the use of this art tens of conflagrates had perished because madness was would ensue after weeks of scorching not being relieved others had completely renounced their invocation altogether for the sake of their families their profession or even their personal safety this scorching was developed as the user utilized their art more and more without the dedication from kusu as if they had forgotten who their power had derived upon death some of these conflagrates were able to rekindle themselves though this scorching would remain and their memories would be near lost while there have been tales of finding absolution from patches that's with capital p as if it's someone's name able to remember their past life after rekindling this path isn't unadvised due to the threat you make yourself pushing further against the grain you flip through a couple more pages and there's just a small note at the back and it reads conflagrate current semi-colon history big hat revenant quotes trader solaire quotes deceased unbreakable patches quotes trader hanry quotes deceased holy knight hodrick quotes seer of the black sun at all apart from like revenant of course but like revenant that would be it pretty much revenant in the very recent um just from this one patches yes okay no from there you don't see you you haven't heard of any of these people you probably a lot of journal or whatever it's just kind of a love it just a simple leather badge write down these names and put it away just just to have these names and their titles whatnot is that kind of like the end of the book after that yeah that's the end of the book would probably be sitting there just um just awestruck by this because before now he thought that he you know somewhat organized little group of people following this primordial god he knew it had his purpose he he had faith in it but he knew he didn't know it was this large he almost is a little comforting because others view things the way he does so but it's intimidating now because there's more people to impress there's more people that may have their eyes on him before it was you know it was like i'm one of the oddballs i'm one of these like kind of he he found a bit of comfort in mosca's you know like the blood hunter group pretty much because it was very similar to how he viewed what he was and i was finding out he's so much more so it's a bit intimidating but grounding comforting right he's kind of just sitting there kind of processing this thinking about how um perhaps helping locus may have been cause of the scorching a little bit maybe not sure um his actions may have gone against cassus to a degree or maybe just was not in the alliance aligned not necessarily we just aligned properly with it go ahead and roll me an insight check with a 15 you are able to draw not the conclusion but the beginning the theory of these scars didn't begin appearing until you started having conflicts with the summoned water elemental it wasn't appearing during your fight with sagoth and it wasn't appearing during your uh conflict with arabos specifically yeah but once you dealt more damage and kind of like affected more conflict with this elemental over overpowering it these scars began to receive as if you were stealing its energy so it was okay interesting so it's almost staffing it a little bit would i i could almost do i could do i guess we are a con our medicine but maybe just kind of reflecting back to that feeling was that sort of influence with the influence of the water elemental causing these scars or was it you know that's kind of like was it was that causing it more so of me sapping that energy or was it initially when you were casting your spells that's when it would go on you it it did not appear on you until after you took your yes um so it wasn't taking an action against you to cause this to you but you have been on this trek for so long so maybe this vision of kasa has gone dormant and this is when you're reading back to uh the hunger it highlights that people who may have forgotten or have uh chosen a different dedication from kasa maybe it felt like this line of power was wavering at some point just because this final trial of yours not a little long has been going on a little bit long yeah probably sit and think about a little probably just i mean just a little like pressing out the time a little bit more so you've had thoughts of like you have to do this right up to he knows a lot like he just is good and everything he still wants to maintain that it's also like it's been a while now and he really knows it needs to be done like it was in his grasp but he decided to let everyone have their comfort so he's really hoping now that they see that they can trust his judgment and whatnot hoping that this can be done soon maybe probably looking at that water skin at this point too thinking it might be his next course of action maybe um quickly stop at the two swords in time you can just grab a couple things on his way out or maybe heading to more some part of the more place where maybe it's a little fire goes out it won't burn down a forest type of thing but they still young yeah i forget that information probably trying his best to to sort of picking up his lantern dusting himself off stretch have a deep breath kind of just collecting himself after all this he'll kind of hold his lantern try to remember which way tibble nib pebble pot nibble nib pebble pot there you go we try to follow his direction you remember to kind of maybe peek over for a second just trying to follow that uh you're trying to relocate more so just following where he went to get out oh okay because at this point he got all that information that's all he really needed you're you're able to find your way out from the um the hallways of books and the like okay you see uh tibble nib and another uh an anomish woman uh speaking arguing about something about alphabetation application alpha yeah yeah organizing a to b to c to d to e to q to not and no i think he's sounding a lot like his wife right now but yeah um unless there's anything you would like to do within the library i think at that point he may have had some curiosities about the water women but right now i think he kind of focused on kind of securing himself a little bit there's time later for it right now he needs to kind of get moving with this trial that he's been going maybe at least start it if it is see what happens if you burn just a little bit and um and whatnot just a side note there was a tiny bit given to the blood hunters correct is that what is it if mosca did take it i imagine i would have been told that if not that's no worries but when i know what happened to that little bit that's given back or if it was uh to your knowledge uh mosca has not revisited okay um what was being investigated there okay um uh yeah or else you can be a little interested about that because um his mind would probably be interested into it it's still here the lantern back to it the other portion the blood hunters just because that is something that is important even if it's just a little bit it might be all of it but right now the biggest thing is the portion he has um like i said it's like one ounce totally it's like one ounce of this you would imagine that maybe you wouldn't need to consume it maybe you just need to touch it and see what happens okay or maybe cast the spell on it and you could easily divide it if you wanted to um okay um i think probably i think i would need anything for two certain time i think it would just i will correct you right now it's pronounced time time time time oh that's the kind of bit two sorts of time time i know time it's about time though it is spelled fine let's pronounce time moscow would have directed into that though the two sources yeah you've been there before yeah would moscow say it would be a good like a worthwhile investigation to go there for this or would it be more like oh you could go there if you like ambrose has the city all to himself if ambrose feels like mosca is a little bit of their director or something like that just because two swords in time happens to be an association to where moscow's got going on they didn't say specifically don't go here with me or without me so yeah more so it's like if it would be worthwhile to go to it you you also um have the understanding that this is a like a full-ass shop it's not just a front right so that'd be worth yeah i think almost probably would head down there at least just to see what their aspect on it was ambrose makes his way uh to the western side of town to uh two swords in time yeah they see uh the signpost on um on top of the shop and um you see this uh six plant six paneled glass window on the door and uh you open it up and uh here's a little bell on top ring and um pissanio from the back room says i'll be up in the front in a minute go ahead and take your time to look around we're so just kind of at this point he would need guidance i don't know he could because based on what he's read in the book there he wouldn't they wouldn't have come across any like not an herbal remedy for anything like that but maybe just peeking around maybe just seeing if anything may just have regenerative properties or anything if there is another scorching as it were maybe something to kind of help hold together his body if that is down to it so maybe just um just things that are very regenerative maybe just stuff like that um okay passanio comes out from the back and uh she has this uh little crate that she's uh bringing uh towards the counter she sets it down starts taking stuff out and like uh organizing it a little bit she's like oh you're oh ambrose ambrose right yes ambrose ambrose very good to see you again how can i help you huh you know um what is phrases um how do you phrase that magic yeah that's a tough one ain't uh hmm what we have all day she's saying that to me just yeah um would you do you know he's very like do you want to take a walk outside come back in maybe you forgot what you wanted would you be able to help with a magical sort of sickness by chance with anything here you got to be a little bit more specific to that um my finger basically um my arm no it wasn't for myself did you touch the urchin no it was a lot worse like my arms were two cracking like a stone being basically broken through by lava or something i don't know how to explain it were you okay um more so it was coming from within yeah my blood was almost boiling to a point where my skin was breaking okay say it doesn't sound like petrification no um would there be any scarring of it actually i don't think there would be any visible scarring from it okay maybe this was kind of like under your skin some of the first layers of your skin begin to blacken and ash and what if i kind of compare my two arms would it be apparent maybe a different skin color at all or tone i i don't know so at all just because it was very early very early of this ailment okay um is how yeah but um just anything it may happen again for all i know but my biggest concern is really is where to happen just something to hold my hands together a little bit if they start bursting at the seams from my blood turning to fire okay lava um i do have an arcane suppressant what would that entail that would mean that any magic or divinity that is passing through your body is dampened but if it's something that's purely arcane or divine or demonic or something like that the effects of that will also be suppressed what i also have is a concoction of demon's blood what would that do i have a more concerned like morbidly curious demon's blood it's not specifically it's not like because you would think it would just be demon's blood it's not we didn't milk a demon if that's your concern um you don't get milked by well you get blood by milking so well anyways you see it's kind of concerned to look a little bit what demon's blood does is it allows you to uh regenerate a little bit quicker um elves have a they have a higher uh regenerative process than humans do than orcs do uh orcs usually have their regeneration beefed up when they're a little bit uh more close to dying um but for you this might help out especially um the only warning i have on this uh demon's blood is if you are of very specific divine faith and you are set out to be good and just then this might make your deity see you in a different light but if you need it you need it that's true hmm if someone weren't to be in alignment with a god would it have a negative effect on them not specifically you see monkeys you know their way of you know dealing with situations seems risky who anyways um sure i'll get a couple vials well depending on how much that is as i kind of look at my coin first each of them are 15 gold okay and a little bit pricey just because they are they take time to make so it's the actual demon's blood uh it is partial demon's blood and then we uh mix it with um cabal blood to allow this these planar beings to uh a be able to accept it a little bit easier and uh um if you herbal concoctions to uh allow this process to infuse with for blood easier as well so you will feel um probably some light searing as you drink it i'll have you have three vials by chance i'll buy three just good okay and at that point teak you're on the shop was there anything else just less specific or was that pretty much just kind of two swords and times um can you tell me a little bit more about your ailment or anything like that maybe i could assist you a little bit like how how do you think it began appearing for you and um how are you walking around now it happened briefly um magic i used my um divine source and um i i don't know um maybe it was just too much given to me in a certain moment too much too great of a connection maybe too being a conduit being overloaded power per second maybe kind of you know not not entirely the truth there but um yeah um but just something that overwhelms myself myself being mortal i can't so much okay did you want to buy the um the arcane salts this is the suppressant yeah i'm thinking i think i can handle it i managed to handle this it's more so things get intense in certain moments and i want to be make sure i can be of use even if things don't go if at the end of the day if things get intense i want to be able to provide for my allies they have taken me in they've guided me i get all that at least to them so right right right you suppress it yeah you casters usually stay stay a little bit in the back sometimes you get hit anyways so hopefully that demon's blood will do you don't get addicted oh addicted maybe oh but maybe if you do i'll see you again yeah maybe and i'll make more of a commission how good is your commission here yeah okay i'll see your ass he's like okay um roast makes his way outside the show a little little awkwardly kind of like maybe scratching his arm a little bit kind of grabbing his uh shoulder anyway why do you want to know you're the expiration oh i'm rose you make your way outside uh two swords in time you have acquired your three vials of demon's blood and kind of hidden my backpack okay um kind of being around the general area i think what time would they would it be after all that reading um maybe one or two o'clock yeah a little bit past midday you probably did bosco ever give them directions on like just starting back once you're done here was it any was there any guidance in the north so like where to meet up with the party um they said that they will be back i'll be back here by the fish festival okay you imagine that they'll seek you out or you guys will just happen to find each other okay cool well i mean kind of traveling here did almost ever almost ever pass in the areas that were like you know how would i put it like a field maybe whatever i don't quite have so much flammable stuff just in case he doesn't know what his mind is at this point he needs to see what happens if he ignites him just a little bit of this right um so on your way initially from uh kiro to skakoan there were a couple of uh wheat fields that um were being tended to on your way just a couple miles of i don't know if you've ever been in like the midwest and going through like miles and miles and miles of fields of arms been through fields okay so similar to that or like um like cornfields so similar yeah probably around that area maybe somewhere where he wouldn't you know just like a week's very like just in case a little area maybe even like a more rocky area if there is one if not no worries um relatively close just kind of um as you exit the city you jump off of a gondola and uh towards the north um there the coast kind of like rises up from the water basin um there's um probably along the shoreline there's some alcoves and some that dip even farther into being caves and stuff like that maybe a cave like a alcove is kind of like just a little yeah just kind of like a little depression into the wall maybe uh hmm maybe like a alcove not facing anything major like a conch or a cave depending on whatever's easier to access yeah um as you're walking along the um the northern coast on the underside of the um partition of the uh coastline you're able to find um two or three caves actually not that they're going completely kind of um within the layers of earth um but they just have small little contained pockets okay okay i'll probably go to whichever one kind of calls to him or just want to just kind of whichever one's maybe nearest or just reading like police attention whatever it might be police stuff around at least yeah at least travel to at this point you're uh essentially completely out of sight okay some of these uh caves that are a little bit lower to the water have just some like uh shale or just like crabs and and stuff like that yeah they're just residing because no one really walks down here anyways um because you know everybody else is just like literally going out to sea to fish and stuff yeah there's no real reason to pick up on these little tiny little baby bitch crabs yeah they're not really much probably but yeah you get into uh one of the capes and um okay how do you how do you set up knowing this is connected um armrest would probably make sure that take out his um kind of like a medallion whatever kind of like that simple set down his lantern in front of him and um kind of just holding out his hands super snap a small little flame that's kind of flickering hold it just let it ignite a thing of incense maybe maybe even a couple things of incense as a smoker beacon to kind of fill the air bouncing off of kind of the cave almost like moving with the grooves of the stone just in the air spreading around into the cave kind of having a earthy kind of smell to it maybe maybe a ashen earthy smell maybe pine whatever the scent may be um he would kind of then take a deep breath and pull out that flask with the towel split in it and kind of hold it sort of for a second either where you need to burn it right um the suction yeah um any portion of it you can burn and see what effects it has maybe this will intoxify you maybe this will just uh the blood will react and something will be summoned any any anything of your imagination something might happen but you you understand that this is the trigger he will kind of just utter it's a quick and probably um infernal yeah infernal just say like self-guidance tap guidance he will just pour a little bit onto his probably kind of like to a pool of it around kind of like the if you kind of hold your hand out to a palm little almost like bowl you can kind of make with your hand do that and then just sort of causing an ignition from his from the palm of his hands just slowly burn it as it begins to bubble with smoke how nervous is probably shaking at this point a little bit because yes also i memories probably begin to search that smell that the blood begins to boil he pictures back on his second trial when he was basically burning alive feeling the pain of being burnt constantly but his body not breaking apart his body immune to the effects but not the pain his mind may go to the time when he first had flame exit his body from just gifted from the overwhelming surge of just almost an inhuman sensation of these flames bursting forth out of control and then the vision probably would creep into his mind that he had previously the world on fire being spoken to thinking about how this may be the key something that you're ruminating on these memories whether he likes it or not these are kind of just almost coming to his mind right now and as you pour the blood into your cuffed hand it begins sizzling and bubbling upon touching your skin so it feels like the right step it feels like a key fitting into a lock you know this opens the door to the rest of your journey because had you pondered longer maybe the scarring would have come back who knows not you you've obtained a very solid amount of information already today but this was perhaps a fixed point for your journey as you realize this as we go along with amorous anxiety or maybe satisfaction in finding stuff satisfaction in finding stuff about alacrity what do you think his strongest emotion is right now i think a feeling of purpose probably be the predominant anxiety being a valid fear of the unknown but in that kind of just that warning he had before kind of pushing him back into action a little bit kind of he didn't just get to the second trial he went through two exceedingly difficult trials at that vision this purpose is greater than his anxiety he feels he doesn't even know what he's afraid of entirely he's handled things in the past he's um his mind probably reflect back to the church and flames your picture walking away from endless flame letting it flicker once more as it grew and how the forest healed after doing such a thing and having a few reservations and containing himself in situations where it didn't need to happen same sort of result knowing now maybe it's time to do it almost indulge that aspect of just that pure primordial force fire just know that it's needed whatever this step is it's the next step towards getting answers his whole the most interesting person of his life that he ever knew that he has admired from a very young age who's let him explore the world and basically got him to this is his lifestyle now is part of this and he wants to know for this like overwhelming this be the running theme everything else is a consequence of just the action he's taking now but you know once he gets through it his purpose will be really on his mind okay go ahead and make me a wisdom save 24 as emotion washes over you you see a familiar figure in the corner of your vision commoners clothes and a wide brimmed wizard's hat as your hand is engulfed in red searing flame your nerves are on fire as you attempt to contain this near overwhelming power of immolation a memory enters your vision a memory of when revenant comforted you with a wet cloth around your hands when you made your first connection the smell of incense is filling your nostrils you're thinking of tell me what the incense smells like is it maybe like a sandalwood kind of like a woody kind of like earthy kind of kind of like the smell maybe like burnt bark this burnt bark smell envelops your senses and this flame that is within your hand is getting wilder and wilder and you glance over to where you had thought you saw this man with the plain clothes you thought you saw revenant and the figure is not there how does amorous contain these flames in his hand getting out of control as he kind of looks at the figure that kind of feeling of probably just bringing the other hand forward maybe even just kind of getting closer to the flame a little bit almost like kind of cradling it a little bit instead of just holding it out like this almost kind of bringing it towards him a little bit like this getting the other hand next to it kind of just slowly just not trying to like squish it out but just more so just to have more of himself around it but closer to it what color does this flame change to as amorous begins he becomes embered oh my god i didn't think of that that's a cool you see these flames on the uh on the edge of it is licking different colors some of it is blue some of it is purple some of it is white there's even sometimes just for a second it'll uh provide black flames some of the yellow what do you think resonates with amorous the most i don't know why my brain went to white flames obviously a white flame white flames yeah as this white flame begins not dying down but becomes a little bit more contained initially the feeling of this flame you were not producing it so you were not feeling any strain from it any connection to it yeah and then it started to grow and you could feel it consuming you a little bit consuming your essence or your constitution and kind of like utilizing your power your strength to feed itself but as you started containing it more as you started allowing it to do so with your own boundaries it essentially became tamed to you and as you are looking at this white flame now purely white with little flickers of gray within this white vision veers into your eyes and it is the only thing that you can see until you find yourself laying on the ground with wind overwhelming your senses you can hear the wind blowing past you and you do not see the the cover of this cave anymore you take a couple seconds to evaluate what just happened maybe you blacked out for moments for hours or anything like that and you are in a completely different place now i feel material that's still stone like it was earlier almost like a panic when you cancel out just kind of trying to find anything in the darkness yet there is no darkness here you wake up to rushing winds of the sky all around you you see the ground that you have lain on at this point you have sat up and all around you is crumbled stone as you look further you see you are near the edge of a cliff as if the land below is miles from being near there are light patches of grass and when you look behind you you see what looks as if it could be a castle built of massive stone and the path that is in front of you is the portcullis is open there is an arc of stone that is presented in front of it but this castle it looks worn it looks there are multiple pieces of it where it has just slanted off some of its crumbled aways and behind the castle itself on the horizon you see this it's not raining right now but there it looks like there's a storm encroaching and very lightly behind this encroaching storm you see a very tall peak of a mountain what do you do sort of staring at it for a second looking down at his hands right the first thing he would do is very holding that flame sort of looking at it how does he feel you are seeing when you look at your hands you are seeing little white embers fleck off of your skin and it doesn't hurt it's nothing of worry it's perhaps you've died perhaps this is because that's the main but you feel significantly different in this respect from once you were nearly directionless when just waiting to fulfill your third trial yeah it's at this point where you feel a sort of enlightenment you feel ordained in a sense confident this anxiety has washed away and like we spoke of the anxiety of like not knowing what's coming to the future but being okay with that and being okay with the understanding of like i am following my path and this is the next step i don't know what the next step is but i'm getting there i'm working towards it that anxiety has subsided see what's there and shaking a little bit not at first steps become more i think first his voice is a bit shaky and it gets these firm feet first shaking a little bit have that kind of purpose again to them that bit of just confidence as you begin to just walk forward just just you know standing straight and all walking towards that portocolis and then towards that mountain right you pass through the portcolis and it stands out to you that this is odd that there's no one here yeah the castle's weathered and all of this as you pass by the portcolis you see columns rows and rows of columns and it's essentially this open ceiling hallway and on these columns the top of them you see different statues the first two columns that you pass by are two dragons these amorous might just be familiar with from the stories the second two columns are a goliath man and on the left side is a giant woman and they are both holding up something in their hand but there's nothing there as if something used to be there um they are the giant is dressed in probably high clothing nothing too significant um and in her left hand she has a smith's hammer on the right side the goliath man in his left hand he has a very large knife um he is wearing ringed leather kind of like carlox armor yeah as you continue making your way down you're seeing a couple more of these different races a couple more um these different people you see a dragonborn man you see a um a goliath woman you see um a human man with a hat uh but each of these statues are holding something up but it's not there maybe it's just a phrase for their deity and what's more is you are passing by these columns and you pass by some of these arches and these are just on the left and right sides of the hallway and uh just to be transparent the open ceiling you're still fully able to view the sky yeah there is no um lanterns illuminating illuminating anything um but these uh arches you're able to see the remnants of the city what's more is that within the city you're looking at some of these streets some of the buildings you see piles of black some of them are ash some of them are humanoid forms curled up in fetal positions but this stands out to you as some some we observe it for a little bit mm-hmm also lanterns you're lanterning this out the familiarity comfort at first fades for a second but he stands steadfast sort of he kind of peers at the kind of form and just sees if there's any breathing to it if there's any movement at all it's not just one it's multiple you feel like close to one of them maybe close enough to like maybe five feet away pretty close to one just sort of eyes kind of squint a little bit really like focusing on the detail this walkway that you had been on you take a couple steps off of it and you begin walking through some of these um buildings and uh trying to get a little bit closer to some of these uh charred remains or um ashen remains yeah and the first passion remains or sorry charred remains that you get close to inspect maybe this was a small woman maybe this was a child but it's not just this it's multiple people along the street it looks like someone went out to not just one but maybe a whole group of people went out to just eliminate this entire city are there any farm marks around these forms are there any you know the anything like that any other signs like again my curiosity is how old this may be these ash remains it may be hard to tell considering how old it is might not be hard to tell it could be hundreds of thousands of years old because it this housing the castle itself is deteriorating you're trying to sort out a little bit more about how old these uh corpses are and nothing's being able it doesn't look like as if people were throwing fireballs everywhere but you're looking around too at the sand that's on the ground separating these buildings the it's not glassed in any way maybe this was more of a focused attack maybe the people who are doing this had to be closer to have a more personal theft of life force or something like that which are kind of gleaming about it kind of stuff just kind of give it a look before he walks away i'll look at it again the amount of this passion remains these people this city it's like in these buildings more so that's just kind of falling apart keeps going forward i'm also just more curious as to why that's here this his mind might go to this maybe because of something why would this be here is this sort of sign a reminder of a passage or something does he just kind of continue forward on that path that he was walking on earlier you continue on your path and you eventually um arrive to this one chamber this chamber is completely black is closed off at the top and within this chamber tell me how you eliminate illuminate this uh chamber if you feel like doing so you know um kind of just for the first time in a while instead of using his lantern as a light as it's been distinguished for now he probably just puts it on his side for a second letting it rest as he's relied on it so heavily for a while and he just sort of puts that hand that he first kind of had that flame in forward just sort of as he sort of ignited that thing in his palm before he just has a like tries to just focus and have a thin sort of flame that stands almost like a candle you make a wick you know that sort of flame that kind of dances around that uh wick of it just sort of holds his hand forward and tries to see if he can conjure any flame in his hand as you do this uh and you are within this chamber you see that these sconces on the wall around the uh around the room take that exact same flame duplicating it eyes a little wide but oddly kind of feels recognition from it i think please curious a little beyond him i think but continues forward i think just kind of each one of them repeats that for a second just walking by and looks at each one of them just as he's walking just kind of dims in a little bit forward within this chamber you see these statues again there are multiple beings the ones that you had seen initially um and before on the pedestal that they stand on they have a uh metal plaque with their name seared into it you see big hat revenant you see solaire you see unbreakable patches anri holy knight hotrick in the center of the room you see a pedestal with a with carving into it and it reads complagorate current history and this is similar to the scorching book that you had found right and this is just listing off the conflagrates that had been named within the city these statues that you find here though have been desecrated solaire is deceased is it like written on it this statue is desecrated this statue is blackened by char marks perhaps the statue itself could not be destroyed but a grand amount went to going to do so can i feel these are made out of a bit better i get closer to them like how much to burn something like that how strong of a flame at the need i guess you would measure that this go ahead and give me um that's a tough one i know i know um i mean nature kind of works nature history we could go arcana yeah i i whichever you're feeling more of my history is probably the best i could try to do like comparisons of what i've heard of you can yeah go ahead and do history maybe even just like observe myself yeah you know that um like that's wrong certain amounts of heat applications towards stone will essentially turn it to magma certain amounts of heat towards sand will turn it to glass and it's more compressed and worked already so an even higher amount of heat would be needed to deface these statues and perhaps the person who came through to deal this uh deface these statues and perhaps the person who came through to deal this just wanted to release their own anger didn't want to exceed in the mouth to to eat up spell spots to fucking deface all of you guys if i were to try to like just touch touch it off would it come off uh yeah some of the black ash would come off i would probably i don't think i would have any capacity to kind of just reflect my knowledge a bit the spells i have at my disposal i really don't have a lot i could do to really brush that type of stuff off um but i would probably just grab um an extra old shirt i have or something just kind of just add it down to just take off what i could just there are multiple um statues like this that are uh desecrated uh you uh are comparing this to your uh journal of scorch where solaire and re and a handful of other uh just two or three other names they are named deceased and it's all of these deceased uh names that are scorched when you're lining up the plaques to the names the only three that are not desecrated big hat revenant unbreakable patches holy knight hodrick okay uh still just kind of just observes it for a little bit after hmm still continue a little bit still i mean it's his mind it's they were still part of everything but maybe not spinning you know not doing a amount that would be obscene of like you know when people polish a grave but more so you know just this white brush a little bit even so it's fine feels right i mean it's still this place that should be desecrated right do that maybe walking forward just just a brief you know kind of wipe it down a little bit if you can it goes forward um uh that is just the one chamber um that yeah it's it's just the one room the one entry and then there's no alternate uh room um yeah you um dust off these statues and brighten them up a little bit bring them up perhaps do any details from them as i kind of brighten stuff at all they're not really uh what details are you looking for um i guess easy enough like maybe clothing right spatial features anything that may stand out just basic stuff i mean is there anybody specific you're looking at i mean the name solaire i always am i'm gonna check that one out first i guess solaire had a straight sword and a buckler he um had a tavern with a sun carved into it on it and essentially kind of like a can or a helmet and a feather in it probably unbreakable patches has a very large wooden shield and a uh halberd his right hand and he's wearing a studded leather armor henry uh she was wearing full standard knight gear um she has a straight sword and she had a scroll in her left hand holy knight hodrick he has a flamberg you know what a flamberg is i'm thinking of his right that's similar similar by handers are very very long flambergs are an alteration of this um where it's kind of like a curved sword oh i like those those are really cool yeah yes um he has that and a sun talisman in his left hand i hope they find a bit of consideration he's been here and he kind of looks at his arms he's not very capable of wielding a weapon like that all these people are wielding these weapons and he's sitting here kind of only relies on his focus essentially that lanterns carried him as far as far i mean that just is his belt is all he's really had so he started to feel a little a little out of place to a degree for a second and then he sees that the talisman has a sort of concept of focus a bit more you're um ruminating on these again these are the conflagrates these have already went through and became solar clerics and ashen knights these are trained warriors of the city there aren't a significant amount of them because as you had read this city was only official for a couple of decades and that that's the reasoning behind why there are so few of these people but also it proves that it took a lot of training and a lot of risk for them to get to this point yeah um go ahead and roll me an insight check if you will yeah awesome uh 17 17 you're putting it together as well you're looking at your uh book of scorching and perhaps someone was out hunting other conflagrates someone was out hunting people of alacrity this madness this scorching maybe this was enveloping them to consume their elemental power to prove to conserves to prove to themselves and stack their power something like that you know that the only thing that is left forward for you right now is to find either revenant again or patches or maybe hudrick because it looks as if these are the last people of the city he only knew one of them it would be revenant he probably feels more pertinent but if these other p2 are forward that seeing more of them may give him more insight too he feels a little not betrayed by the little how i'm going to phrase this kind of like he had the training goes on in a little too long into questioning everything he's just kind of curious as to why maybe to trust him what but i kind of want to see what the other ones have to say too at least give them a year for a second they are forward here so we're going to keep pressing forward if he sees revenant us just as good too it's just we want to see everybody into their perspectives and i think the effects from being to go in for so long or yes it keeps going whatever and just kind of deal with the water elementals and seeing that i kind of you can compare that dynamic somewhat to what he observed here seeing the walkers move forward and risk themselves a little bit to make that kind of sacrifice the connection a little bit in order to make everything work it was admirable it was weird because they're opposites but there was there's admiration in that and um i go forward though for that all right um do you exit the chamber yeah as you exit the chamber you turn to look at this mountain once again but on top of this mountain you see a ring of clouds atop it but the longer you look at it you're trying to kind of like discern what more it is it doesn't look like clouds it looks like a body of something and after a couple of moments staring at it you see these piercing red eyes stare back at you and you're able to identify this as some sort of ancient dragon and as these ancient eyes stare back at you stare back at you your vision fades probably possible bow for a second like not entirely though but you know kind of like a slight because there is respect to be had for that but like a slight nod maybe partially until the vision fades you know starting to yeah just pay certain respects to whatever it may be you wake up in the cave there are small crabs surrounding you but other than that you are unharmed the first thing he doesn't look at his hands again really appears as if it's the crevices of the crack to get on your hands whatever it might be there's any of those flickering flames naturally going through them as they were back in that chamber in that vision that land is there any of those white flames moving along um a little bit not as much as there were but every now and then a little flicker leaves off of your skin and out and that dissolves into the air and are they still white yes and you look back to your lantern and your lantern has your white flame within it kind of stare at that for a while this kind of warm feeling washes over them almost like it's cheap to a degree um you look for the incense um is it burnt out oh the incense is mad burned out it is dark outside at this point we don't the only other thing he could really you didn't really do anything else just out of concern it's just kind of like how long he may have been here for check his hair is it any longer than it was originally it's been that long you're uh looking at all of uh this information you feel like it's only been a couple of hours since you had first arrived to the cave probably be oh he would be kind of just at a loss a little bit but like it's like this this is a lot bigger than he thought but it's not feels comfortable a little bit and he sees some sort of acknowledgment in that flame the lantern was burning it was burnt out the vision and then it's reignited feels like this right it's fine he would probably stand back up and seeing as it's night um remembering the knowledge of not looking at the forest that night if it's possible just get back to the city if that's that would be an impossible thing for him to do at this point sure um and probably just try to for now make it seem like you know we just put him into the library that day there's no need to you know he knows that they'll be back soon it'd be better to be back in the town and more blood maybe with them maybe not let him in his mind just wants to kind of go back wants to see what felt like more information he can glean yeah more like that was like cut short maybe there was like the library finally like another living presence for a second and then he's gone and he had so many questions he answered or at least guidance um that wasn't just some messenger but yeah someone of authority whether they're crazed or not there could be knowledge he had and of course if they're crazy that's fine with the value for sure but they're you know it's always just been secure messages readings and this is the first time that he wasn't being treated like a kid for a second wants to kind of know more about what he's getting into perhaps amaros feels uh maybe not specifically this amount of resentment but kind of like a validation in towards why he was feeling so isolated for a long time he perhaps was looking for more information in regard to his path maybe not just because uh revenant was no longer around but because finding information on alacrity on kasa is difficult is who went through and chart these books but it also makes sense because he is isolated from the city he's an ember now and there is no one to welcome him is there anything else you would like to do before we conclude this session um i can say that perhaps amaros goes through and uh tries to find a map to maybe locate um where exactly uh alacrity could be um yeah he can maybe see if he finds any history on that yeah try to roll me a history check it's gonna be a high dc would it be fair to guide myself on this yeah yeah we can say that that's the uh the help that people need have a pot we'll provide you okay okay hey hey it counts it's more than one it is one how would you look for immigration i think that is a full that's you know i think that's fair i don't want to overdo it um you said a history yes uh what's the 15 15 you're looking through a lot more public maps yeah um some more arcane maps maybe you're not finding a lot regarding the specific location but as you're kind of like thinking a little bit more about it you're not seeing a lot of orcs you're not seeing a lot of gnomes dwarves anything like that when you were in alacrity yeah dragonborn giants goliaths points you towards the seer the uh small island that is north of the city i don't get a place to stay it's probably sort of a cavern or something just something basic and i think kind of ends everything he would just think of reflecting on things maybe later at night pad is filled with food and whatnot and all that he just holds his hand forward and tries to summon that kind of flame once more that kind of white flame does it kind of come out like that kind of like that way he did earlier does it come out white or is it like a different color is it like is it like how it was before is it white it remains white this this is kind of like a more controlled version of people of power kind of just stares at it kind of like has it won't like move around his fingers kind of just like you know like kind of moving across stares at it for a little bit just kind of thinks about everything while it is slammed in its animals just kind of keeping his hand busy with it just sort of kind of almost like a meditation just sort of having your body focused on something where your mind begins to wander as he's reflecting on just how far he's gone and but not having answers eventually just sort of ready to see everyone again hopefully be able to go back once more get answers eventually with the flame sort of fade as the darkness of the room kind of surrounds him he goes back goes to sleep just finally lets himself rest all right and that will conclude our session
