Nothing to say, yet
Pasam is what binds pasu, the conscious being, and makes it unaware of its true nature. It consists of three impurities: anava malam, karma malam, and maya malam. The universe we perceive is created by the Lord using prakriti maya. Everything in this created world has a beginning, exists for a certain time, and then decays. During pralaya or apocalypse, all created objects merge into the eternal sound of OM. After the completion of four yugas, there is a flood that ends all creation, followed by a cycle of creation. Mahendran sang about Murugan riding on an emerald green peacock with a blinding effulgence amidst this flood. Having talked about pati and pasu, let's talk of pasam now. Pasam binds pasu in such a way that though pasu has consciousness like pati, it is unaware of its true nature. Pasam consists of three impurities or malams, which is anava malam, karma malam and maya malam. So the universe that you perceive was created by the Lord with the material called prakriti maya. Anything that has been created has a beginning, it continues to exist and then it decays. A physical body, including the mental and psychological equipment, the world and the worldly things, all of these, they have a beginning, so they exist for a certain period of time and then decay. So thus the world, the universe that lies beyond our path of perception, they are cyclically created and destroyed. The destruction part happens during pralaya or apocalypse when all the created objects converge and merge into the eternal or primordial sound of OM from which it was originated. So during the prakriti pralaya, there is a great flood that prakriti produces and which ends all the creation after the completion of four yugas called chatur yugas. So there is a cycle of chatur yuga and at the end of it there is a flood, which ends all creation and after a certain amount of time, a cycle of creation begins. So now the lines that Mahendran sang just now, the gist of that is Ending the darkness of samhara or destruction and heralding the creation of the universe, Murugan comes riding on an emerald green peacock with a blinding effulgence amidst this flood as though millions of suns are seated on a chariot driven by seven pedigreed horses.
