The host is passionate about these topics and wants to provide helpful knowledge and resources. Hello and welcome to Coleman's Class Chronicles, the podcast where seasoned educators will share their experiences, strategies, and expertise about all things education. Join us each episode where we will be diving into specific topics related to the always evolving landscape of teaching. We know being an educator is a battle, not for the faint of heart, hence the logo for the podcast representing two cross swords, but we made a school-appropriate version, of course. Let me introduce myself first. My name is Tyler Coleman and I've worked in the education field since 2019. I currently work in a mid-sized school district in Missouri in a place called Troy, or more specifically Moscow Mills. If you haven't heard of it, I don't blame you. We have a Walmart and a pretty decent Mexican restaurant that my colleagues and I frequent before every major break, but the only thing you need to know about me is that I truly love my job and the people I work with. I love the good and the bad days. I love knowing that I have so much to learn about teaching and I honestly have a passion for growing the profession as much as possible. I think we need more teachers and we need better teachers and if this podcast does anything, I hope it gives you inspiration to grow as much as you can as a teacher. I hope it motivates people to realize the power they have to change the trajectory for our students. I hope it inspires you to deliver for your students every single day in the relatively short time that we get to be a part of their story. If you need to know anything about me or this podcast, it's that I take it very personally to bring the most out of my students and my colleagues and myself. I don't feel entitled to the power I have over my students in the same way I don't feel entitled to your viewership. I completely understand it's earned. So what can you expect looking ahead? Over the next several episodes, we'll start from the beginning. What do you need to know when starting your student teaching? How about interviewing for a teaching position? How can you be successful in your first year? I'm incredibly passionate about these topics because I'm not too far removed from each one. So my goal is to give you the knowledge and resources I wish I had when I was going through them. So until then, thank you for listening and until next time, keep making a difference. Thank you.
