The host of the THV Podcast, Tony Vinh, discusses the trade rumors surrounding Aaron Rodgers. He mentions that Rodgers responded to the rumors on the Pat McAfee Show, saying he has no problem with the organization moving on from him. Tony speculates on the top five teams that could potentially trade for Rodgers, starting with the New England Patriots, followed by the Tennessee Titans, the Indianapolis Colts, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the New York Jets. He analyzes each team's strengths and weaknesses and discusses the potential draft picks involved in a trade. However, Tony emphasizes that whether or not Rodgers will be traded ultimately depends on his willingness to play. Here we are, we're about to start. 3, 2, 1. Welcome back to THV Podcast. I'm your host Tony Vinh here. And today we will be talking about the Aaron Rodgers trade rumors. And there's a lot of things to it and I will break it down the best for you that I can. Based on all the research I've done and the teams that I've been looking at, it's very interesting. I had never seen this before because I never doubted with our quarterback being traded before. Besides Brett Favre I guess in a way because I was born during that time but I didn't know much about football. Aaron Rodgers, there's a lot of rumors out there about him getting traded. And he responded at the Pat McAfee Show and said, Hey, if the organization wants to move on from me with Jordan Love, I have no grudges or no problem with that. And that's understandable because that's how business are and that's how it works. So now it's just the question is, does Aaron Rodgers want to play? Because we can't trade him if he can't play. If Aaron Rodgers retires this season, we can't trade him. So now it's which teams are pretty much the top 5 teams are interested to trade for Aaron Rodgers. Number 5 is the Patriots. They went 8-9 this season. And they had the 14th pick overall in the draft. There's some difficulty between the quarterback Matt Jones and Bill Belichick. I believe there's a lot of things going on with him and Matt Jones are having a little bit of miscommunication. And that maybe he needs some mentor help by putting Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback. And Matt Jones can just learn from him in a way. Not just that, I think if Aaron Rodgers is going to the Patriots, it wouldn't be too bad of a choice to go to. Because you have one of the best coaches in the league and Bill Belichick won 6 Super Bowls. And Aaron Rodgers praised him and Bill Belichick has also praised him a lot. So back in 2014, when the Packers went up against the Patriots and Tom Brady, right? Tom Brady wasn't playing with them during that time. And Aaron Rodgers blew them out. He literally just, I remember that game was amazing. And during the press conference, Bill Belichick was giving Aaron Rodgers the credit that he's won the best quarterback in this league still. That whatever he is or wherever he's going or whatever team he goes to, he's going to make a big difference in that team. I'm pretty sure with the Patriots, him and Bill Belichick would definitely get along. And definitely with Matt Patricia, the defensive coordinator for the Patriots. I mean, they're not too bad in a way because we have the 15th pick in the draft. So if we trade Aaron Rodgers to the New England Patriots for our first rounder in the 2020 draft and maybe a second round. And the next year's first round draft for the Patriots. And we'll pretty much get back-to-back picks, 14th and 15th. But the question is, are the Packers going to trade up? There are times where Brian Goodacus would never trade up for any players besides John Love. For us to address the position that we need, that will be into a different podcast. So I would just leave that from there. So number four is the Tennessee Titans. The Derrick Henry, the King of the Titans. So that's another good place that Aaron Rodgers could go to. He will have a great running back, amazing running back. And he will have a good, decent defense. A really good head coach. And I believe Aaron Rodgers has also praised him a lot too for giving him the credit that he's due. He's taken the Tennessee Titans last season, the first-run seed. And they did pretty good. But this year, they're kind of slowing down because the quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, is either one that's going to get released. Or number two, they're going to get Monique Willis the position, if Aaron Rodgers goes there. And like I said, Aaron Rodgers can be another mentor to Monique Willis. But make the Heat Boyd more likely he will be the starter of that team. For the draft-wise, draft pick-wise, they have the 11th pick, which is far down from us. And they went 7-10 of last season. I believe the only thing that the Titans need now is just a receiver. And the receivers to kind of help that team to make it better. But Aaron Rodgers, I don't think he wants to go there in a way because, yes, we have a good running back. But where are the receivers? Yes, you have Austin Hope as your tight end, but he's not like a top 10 for me. He's like a top 20 tight end for me. So for him to go to the Tennessee Titans, I mean, he does have a house there. So he could possibly go there maybe. But I don't think Titans will be a destination where he wants to go to. But that would just be my top 4 of he could be traded, possibly traded to that team. So my number 3 is the Colts. They went 4-12-1. 1 tie, 12 losses, 4 wins. And they have a lot of issues too. With Matt Ryan playing with them, Matt Ryan didn't do so well either. And Matt Ryan's just like, hey guys, I'm just going to play for fun and just do the best I can. And the Colts have been hitting different quarterbacks. Last year it was Christopher Wentz. This year it was, now it is Matt Ryan. And for him to go to the Colts, it could be a possibility to go there. That would put their draft pick as number 4 in the draft. So let's say if we do trade Aaron Rodgers to the Indianapolis Colts, we will be the 4th pick. Which is amazing. It would be nice too. But most likely that will not happen. The reason why is because the Colts are pretty much rebuilding their offense. And Aaron Rodgers does not want to be part of a rebuilding team. The reason why is because he just wants to start over again. He's already, what, 39? So basically he wants to win his Super Bowl right now, in a way. He wants to win games. So for him to go to the Indianapolis Colts, I really, he would not want to go there. Even though, yes, he is one of the best running backs in the league. John Nutella from Wisconsin. Receivers are pretty good. Michael Pittman is a decent receiver. He's good. But for him to have a good quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, I believe his numbers will go up. And that defense is still good. I mean, it's decent. It's not like top 10. But it's top 15 where if they have just the right defensive coordinator, they'll actually do something with it. So next up is the Raiders. So the Raiders win 6-11. They had the 7th pick in the draft. And it's not too bad. So with the Raiders, you know, you guys already know. Devontae Adams is already, he's already there. He's staying there. So for Aaron Rodgers to go to the Raiders, good. Could possibly could. It would be just a perfect position for him to go there to reunite with Devontae Adams. And that's just that. That team is stacked. You have Devontae Adams. You have Hunter Renfroe. You have Darren Waller. You also have Josh Jacobs. And that offensive line could give him more help. But, damn, that defense is pretty decent too. So for him to connect with Devontae Adams going back there and know that their car is coming back to the Raiders, yeah, that would be a good, a great, pretty much a great opportunity for Aaron Rodgers there. But then one thing that sucks about it is we, I think this year or next year or this year, we have to face the Raiders in the regular season. So that's going to be a revenge game for Aaron Rodgers, like a draw 11. No, it's like a 5-5 Aaron Rodgers game. So that's a good potential. He could go there. That's, like I said, that is my second best position for him to go there. So number one is the, of course, the New York Jets. And apparently they are ranked number one to trade for Aaron Rodgers because of Nathaniel Hackett, the Packers' former offensive coach. So Nathaniel Hackett actually helped him won two MVPs back in 2020 and 2021. So I wouldn't be surprised if he wouldn't mind to go there, too. That offense is really good. You have Greg Wilson, who's been balling, and you have a good defense. And the offensive line could need more help. They were banned out, too, this last season. But at the same time, you know, the Jets could get more help on the defensive line for NGC and give Aaron Rodgers the protection. And that's just that. Like the coach for the Jets, he was the former defensive coordinator for the Niners, and we lost to them in the NGC championship game. But he's a really good defensive head coach guy. Like he's not that bad. He praised Aaron Rodgers, and Aaron Rodgers said, guess what, praised him, too. So for him to go to the Jets would be another opportunity to go there, too. But like I said, now this really depends on Aaron Rodgers. Because if Aaron Rodgers does not want to play, then he can't get traded. Like for example, if he retires, he can't get traded. A perfect example is like Gronk. I think with Gronk, when he was with the Patriots, he was either one that was going to get traded to the teacher alliance. And Gronk said, oh, you can't trade me because I'm retired. And that's how he got away from being traded to the alliance. Because I think the Patriots were looking forward to dropping a new tight end. And just like, hey, Gronk is not as good as he was. Because Gronk was always getting hurt. So they're like, hey, let's trade him away. And Gronk is like, no, man, I'm retired. You can't trade me. So Aaron Rodgers can do the same thing to the Packers. Hey, no, we're going to trade you to the Jets. Aaron Rodgers can say, oh, no, I'm retired. Yeah, so as of now, those are my top five teams to get Aaron Rodgers traded to. But like I said, now it's just, I think the Packers are, they haven't said anything yet. They haven't even announced any interest of trading Aaron Rodgers. But in a way, it's just, you know, a lot of rumors out there making Aaron Rodgers look like he's the bad guy. I mean, he is a bad man, of course, for what Stephen A. Smith said. But for him to get traded, like I said before in my last video, I just said, hey, I will support the Packers whatever they want to do. At this point, like, I don't, I can't care less what they do now. Besides just, hey, if you guys want to start drawing love, then start them. If you guys want to start Aaron Rodgers, then start Aaron Rodgers. So I'm tired of all these rumors and all this stuff on the social media platform. And I'm like, hey, man, I have to make a video. If I don't, then it's going to suck for me because I'm going to be lazy enough not to make a podcast about it. So as of now, we are just waiting for Aaron Rodgers, what he has to say, and waiting for the organization, what they want to do. If they want to move on, Aaron Rodgers said, hey, okay, then trade me. Then trade me to a team that I can go to to help. And everyone said, oh, he could go to Seattle or Miami or maybe Houston. Possibility, could. But I don't think he would want to go to Houston. Maybe Seattle would be a good destination for him in a way. But then at the same time, they already have the quarterback, Gino Smith. Or they might draft a quarterback in the draft. So there's nothing more than just hoping that, hey, if we keep Aaron Rodgers, we keep Aaron Rodgers. If we don't keep him, then so be it. We'll just move on from there and move on with Jordan Love and see what he got and see what he can give us. This is all I got for this video today, guys. So I just want to see and kind of give you guys an update on the Aaron Rodgers trade rumors as of now. Thank you for tuning in to THV Podcast. Until next time, guys. I'll see you guys later.
