Shepard How are you, my friend? I'm fine, Tim. How is everything in Branson? Doing great and I appreciate you doing the interview tonight I've been looking forward to this one for a little while And everything's great in Branson It got a little cold here a day or two ago It was 70 the other day And now they were talking snow last Sunday Well, I have a lot of fond memories of Branson I've played there for years and years You know, in different years And it's always a pleasure and a joy to get back that way But I'm glad to be with you Well, it's good to be here with you as well And yeah, Branson I figured you played here quite a bit back in the day I saw you have done actually some stuff with Mickey Gilly And unfortunately we lost him here in Branson But they're still using his theater and performing shows there So that's good You can go to the Mickey Gilly's Theater right on the strip And so, boy, we'd love to see you back here in Branson I'd love to meet you in person, too Well, we'll get back that way before too long, I'm sure The last time I played there was at the Oak Ridge Boys Theater Of course, that's been taken over by the hospital now And I did about four months there But yeah, always got a lot of fond memories of Branson Especially of Mickey Gilly, my dear friend But hopefully we'll get back that way soon That sounds great You know, Scott Sexton, who set this radio interview up I want to give him a big shout-out and thank you He hooked me up with William Lee Golden from the Oak Ridge Boys For an October interview last year And then we got to go see him for my birthday on October the 11th They're playing at the Mansion Theater in Branson On their farewell tour And it was right before Joe Bonzo retired From going out on tour with the Oak Ridge Boys So we got to see him And we were five rows back in the center And got lots of great pictures Well, they have a great show I hate that Joe had to leave the group a little early But people don't catch the Mighty Oaks every chance they get Absolutely They still vocally sound amazing And so do you, my friend I was listening to you, of course Before we got on the interview tonight And we're going to play three of your songs For the folks tonight on this show During the interview So we look forward to that Love your music And you started at a young age, too Just like the Oak Ridge Boys They've been doing it for a long time But you started at 15 years old When you lived in Humboldt, Tennessee And then you journeyed to Memphis Yeah, at 15 I was a runaway chasing this dream And God let me catch it And it's been a heck of a ride since then But, you know, I just started off at a very early age And sometimes I have to pinch myself But I'm still out here on tour each and every week Still doing it and loving it more than ever Well, I've been doing this show for 12 years on the radio Playing the independent artist And you never know who you're going to meet doing this And it all comes around And then I get to meet a legend like you So this is a real treat Oh, you're much too kind Thank you, we appreciate it Now, that journey to Memphis also led you to a gentleman Who was famous for living in Memphis, Tennessee The one and only Elvis Presley He gave you a tour bus, it says, in 1976 Well, we became very dear friends when I met him I don't know why, I just think it was destined I think it was in God's plan for me to meet him And he made a big impact in my life We became very dear friends He gave me my first tour bus to kind of get me started He believed in me Somebody asked me the other day in an interview They said, is that the greatest gift Elvis ever gave you Was the bus? And I said, no The bus was the catalyst for the great gift And the great gift of the bus was confidence To have him believe in me enough to gift me With something like that, that big It really gave me confidence And pushed me to hopefully succeed in the business That is awesome And you have done that 21 number one singles for T.G. Shepard That is amazing I always thought if I could have maybe one or two I'd be happy I never dreamed of having 21 of them But what a journey this has been Yeah, that is awesome That definitely leaves a legacy So we've got the music, man And it is awesome We love it Now, you were a promoter for music at that time But that tour bus, as you said Gave you the confidence to go out And do your own thing in the world of country music That has gone quite well As we just mentioned 21 number one singles But it was a particular song Called Devil in the Bottle That really did it for you back in the 70s I think it was 74 when this was recorded Well, I recorded it in 74 It went number one in 75 in January Yeah, that particular song was the magic one Every artist has that magic song That kind of gets them started And that was mine I had pitched that song As a promotion executive with RCA To every artist that I knew And everybody kept saying Oh, I don't think that's a hit Well, I kept saying I think it is And so one day I just recorded it myself And it went number one So it goes to show you If you believe in what you're doing Stay with it Right, and it's a great storytelling song Is what I was going to say And the reason I love doing these interviews I call them the stories behind the songs Because that's what we get to hear And I love that about country music And I'm sure that's what stuck out to you About that particular song as well Well, it is And of course country music is about the story We've gotten away from that type of music And country music the last few years We've gone into more of a sound and a beat And I like a lot of the new music Don't get me wrong But I miss the storytellers I miss the Haggards and the Jones and the Waylands And people like that Yeah, Devil in the Bottle was one of those Significant songs that Really kind of took hold And it really propelled my life and career That is awesome And you've had quite a life and quite a career You became a businessman as well You used to own a 160-year-old log home It was called in Moon Mountain property You no longer own that But boy, I would sure love to tour that Me and my wife love that log cabin lifestyle I bet that was a great bed and breakfast Well, you know I've always dreamed of having a bed and breakfast So I kept the top, the third floor of the cabin for myself With my own entrance But I wound up going downstairs every day When I was home And sitting with the people staying in the house And having breakfast with them It was just incredible I heard some great stories Met some great people I really enjoyed that lifestyle for a lot of years And then I sold it And then moved from the Great Smoky Mountains Over to Knoxville and then back to Nashville That would be amazing Me and my wife are getting up there Into our retirement years And I've always said that owning a bed and breakfast And there's a lot of, now they call them Airbnbs Here in the Branson area That people own And there's so many log cabins here too You know that from being here for all that time That you were Table Rock Lake is beautiful down here So that is a really cool lifestyle That you've had a passion for doing And been able to live That is amazing Well you know to live in the Great Smoky Mountains Was just a real blessing Because it was peaceful You know traveling on the road Each and every week Touring You need that special place that you can go to To rest and relax And that was my place to go Absolutely And resting and relaxing You know when you get through from partying At one of your nightclubs You were an investor in a nightclub Called Guitars and Cadillacs And I know there was one in Joplin, Missouri I used to drive by that one all the time I looked it up There's still one in Overland Park, Kansas And there may be others around the country as well And I know in Overland Park, Kansas We've got my good friend Shelly Lynn Who's listening to the show all the time And I guarantee you She's probably been to that Guitar and Cadillacs Well we opened up our first one in Kansas City In the Westport District And it did so incredibly well We wound up doing one in Denver And I think we had one in Branson For a while years ago We had like five or six of those for a while And they were great places to go And hear real country music And get a great steak That was one of my fond memories Of being a part owner in Guitars and Cadillacs That's awesome You can have a great steak And you know they're famous for the big dance floor That they got Oh yeah We had some great acts in there Yeah nothing better Well you've been with a young lady By the name of Kelly Lang for some time And you guys came out with a duet And that's the reason for the interview tonight That you want to promote Based on a Shania Twain song Called You're Still the One You guys probably remember that song And Shania had a great success with that You and Kelly recorded it as a duet And it's said that you used to sing it For years to each other When you were at home Well what happened was We went and caught her show in Vegas A few years back And after that show that night We caught ourselves singing it in the car Every time we were riding along And then we would sing it to each other Around the house So when it come time for us To record this new duet album Which drops in April or May Kelly turned to me and said You know that Shania Twain song Is a good one that we love Let's make a duet out of it And so we did And we thought it would be The perfect time here During the Valentine season For the Romantics To release a love song like that And so it is out now And we are just so excited To have it out there But we did an album together years ago Called Iconic Duets And people have been asking us When we were going to do another album And so we decided to go in And do this new one And we hope people enjoy it Well we know we are going to enjoy it And Kelly Lang is awesome too I was looking up her And she is a cancer survivor A breast cancer survivor Got to make her debut At the Grand Ole Opry I am going to assume that Was last October Because that is usually Breast Cancer Awareness Month Doing that And so congratulations to Kelly And she is super talented I have got a TV channel And I added one of her songs Called Down in Destin Which is Destin, Florida To the video channel as well She did a great job on that video I will tell her that She will appreciate that She writes her own music And of course We were on vacation in Destin Not long ago And she said I think I want to do a video So we decided to do that But thanks for airing that And yeah I mean What an incredible thing To be married to somebody Who knows what you do for a living Because we do this thing And so it is wonderful To be able to have a wife Who is a singing partner And a great singer, songwriter And performer She sounds great Reminds me a little bit Of Lori Morgan honestly So she is fantastic And I tell you what I have got some friends That moved from Springfield, Missouri Just north of Branson here To Destin, Florida Several years ago And she keeps trying to get us To come out there for vacation We are going to do it One of these days So maybe we will see you guys Out there too Well you more than likely will That is one of our Favorite places to go But Kelly is just one of those Rare talents And I am so excited To have this new single Out with her And it is a lot of fun Singing with her She looks good And it looks like She is having a lot of fun Singing out there On that beach Oh she did She did Well we are having a lot of fun With T.G. Shepard tonight Let's do the duet With him and Kelly It is called You're Still the One And we will come back And talk some more On the Tim Kelly Show From KICR Indie Country Radio New Country's Best On this special Saturday Live from the Branson Piercero Theater Yeah Looks like we made it Look how far we've come My baby We might have took the long way But we knew we'd get there someday They say I bet They'll never make it But just look at us Holding on We're still together Still going strong You're still the one I run to The one that I belong to You're still the one I long for You're still the one that I love The only one I dream of You're still the one I choose Good night It ain't nothing better We've been through the odds together I'm glad we didn't listen Look at what we would be missing They say I bet They'll never make it But just look at us Holding on We're still together Still going strong You're still the one I run to The one that I belong to You're still the one I long for You're still the one that I love The only one I dream of You're still the one I choose Good night You're still the one I run to The one that I belong to You're still the one I long for You're still the one that I love The only one I dream of You're still the one I run to The one that I belong to You're still the one that I love The only one I dream of You're still the one I choose Good night I'm so glad we made it Look how far we've come, my baby That is the brand new duet for Kelly Lang and my good friend T.G. Shepard who is live with us called You're Still the One A great retake of a Shania Twain song You guys knocked that one out of the park Fantastic Well, it was a lot of fun doing it It's just, uh Kelly and I have a lot of fun when we're able to go on tour together and sing a lot of those songs in concert and I invite people to go to my website to get our tour schedule and see where we are and if we're anywhere near your area anytime soon I hope people will come out and catch us Yeah, absolutely You have sang with a lot of people and Kelly's included on this list I'm looking at your website right now but Merle Haggard, Willie Lanson they both used to perform here a lot in Branson the great George Jones Jerry Lee Lewis who we recently lost he's the cousin of Mickey Gilley was and Conway Twitty he passed away here in Springfield, Missouri Ricky Skaggs The Oak Ridge Boys Engelbert Humperdinck Lori Morgan Crystal Gale Delbert McClendon from Texas Mickey Gilley himself Lots of them Well, it was a fun project It was called Legendary Friends and Country Duets when I invited all those people then to record and I kept thinking, well you know, I would invite maybe 10 or 12 artists but I wound up inviting 17 hoping that 10 or 12 would show up and they all showed up so it's a pretty full album a lot of fun and it was a labor of love for me to be able to sing with a lot of my heroes That is awesome and you also had a song in a movie that was number one it was called Make My Day and it was a duet with the Clint Eastwood movie Sudden Impact and I love it when he says Go ahead, punk make my day Well, he was he is just a super nice man you know, we spent the day together in the recording studio and I didn't know what to expect he called me up I was performing in Lake Tahoe at Harris with Mickey D and Johnny Lee on the Urban Cowboy Tour and he called me and asked me to fly to L.A. to record with him and I did and it was a great memory You know, he is still making movies he is 93 now and we just recently lost Toby Keith a great loss in the world of country music and he performed this song live called Don't Let the Old Man In and he said he was talking to Clint Eastwood and he asked him in his 80s he said how are you still being able to make all these movies he said well, I just wake up every morning and try not to let the old man in and that's really how that song came about Yeah, I heard that story and it it touched me so much that was his that was his that was his last hurrah when I saw him on the award show and then we played Vegas two or three nights and sold it out back in December but on the award show when he did that I just sit there and tears flowed I'm telling you it was because it was about his own life as well Yeah, absolutely What a loss Your music is amazing my friend congratulations on 21 number ones and there might even be more you're still doing your thing keep doing it and we appreciate the time tonight I've got a couple of songs that we're going to play for you that I picked personally that I love it's called I Loved Him Every One the next one we're going to play and then only one you is going to kick off the top of the next hour T.G. Shepard interview He said he interviewed 17 artists To do a collaboration with Thinking maybe only 12 would show up But all 17 showed up And the great Conway Twitty was one of them Sadly we lost him in Springfield, Missouri Just north of Branson Where I'm broadcasting live from tonight We also recently lost this next artist A couple of years ago The late, great Joe Diffie How about this ballad called Ships That Don't Come In On the Tim Kelly Show from KICR Indie Country Radio A classic country special I could tell he'd had a tough life By the way he sat and stared And me, I'd come to push and shove So I pulled up the chair We talked of roads untraveled We talked of love untrue Of strength and calm unraveled We were kings and kindred fools And just when I'd hit bottom That old man raised his glass And said at least we've had our chances There's those who never have So here's to all the soldiers Who have ever died in vain The insane locked up in themselves The homeless down on Main Street To those who stand on empty shores And spin against the wind And those who wait forever For ships that don't come in He said it's only life's illusion That brings us to the spot To pick up these old crutches And compare them to the stars Cause the things we're calling heartaches Hell, they're hardly worth our time And we bitch about a dollar When there's those without a dime And as he ordered one last round He said, I guess we can't complain God made life a gamble And we're still in the game So here's to all the soldiers Who have ever died in vain The insane locked up in themselves The homeless down on Main Street To those who stand on empty shores And spin against the wind And those who wait forever For ships that don't come in And those who wait forever For ships that don't come in For ships that don't come in For ships that don't come in For ships that don't come in For ships that don't come in For ships that don't come in For ships that don't come in For ships that don't come in I've got pride I'm singing it for you right Bye, bye, bye, bye, my baby, bye, bye I was country But country wasn't who I said I said I said I said I said I said I said I said I said I Louis! I bet there's red-slope deans From a fancy dining car They're probably drinkin' coffee And smokin' big cigars Well, I know I had it comin' I know I can't be free But those people keep a-movin' And that's what soldiers mean Well, if they'd freed me from this prison If that railroad train was mine I bet I'd move it on A little farther down the line Far from Folsom Prison That's where I want to stay And I'd let that lonesome whistle Blow my blues away So be sure to be here tonight You're going to have a good time You're going to get to see the best in new country music A little bit of rock heart I was a fool to let you go Girl I just got to know Does that blue moon Ever shine on you I want to hold you close to me Feel just like it used to be And baby If you feel like I do You can come to me Does that blue moon Ever shine on you Night after night I look to the stars Wondering where you might be And I thought to myself Is that very same moon Shining on you Like it's shining on me Does that blue moon Ever shine on you I want to hold you close to me Feel just like it used to be And baby If you feel like I do You can come to me You can come to me Does that blue moon Ever shine on you Well I'd say country sounds like this I should have been a cowboy I should have learned to roll around And this He'd say you've got to stand for something Or you'll fall for anything You've got to be your own man Not a puppet on a string And this Like little sparrows in a hurricane Trying to find their way You're listening to the best in classic country music On KICR Indie Country Radio Love Ridge Boys and that's probably the biggest song they ever recorded called El Vibra and I had the privilege to see them at the Mansion Theater last October the 11th for my birthday and I highly recommend going and seeing them on their farewell tour before they retire fully Joe Bonzel already has but they are still playing here in Branson on Wednesdays and Thursday nights at the Mansion Theater Get your tickets and go check out my good friends the Oak Ridge Boys There's no piano in the world of country music and this is a great one right here from Ronnie Millsap and Smokey Mountain Rain on the Tim Kelly Show from KICR Indie Country Radio on this classic country special I thumbed my way from L.A. back to Knoxville I found out those bright lights ain't where I belong From a phone booth in the rain I called to tell her I've had a change of dreams I'm coming home But tears filled my eyes when I found out she was gone Smokey Mountain Rain I keep on calling I keep on calling her name Smokey Mountain Rain I keep on searching I can't go on hurting this way She's somewhere in the Smokey Mountain Rain I waved the diesel down outside a cafe He said that he was going as far as Kaplanburg I climbed up in the cab all wet and cold and lonely I wiped my eyes and told him of our hurt Got to find her can you make these thick wheels burn Smokey Mountain Rain I keep on calling I keep on calling her name Smokey Mountain Rain I keep on searching I can't go on hurting this way She's somewhere in the Smokey Mountain Rain I can't blame her for letting go A woman needs someone warm to hold I feel the rain running down my face I'll find her no matter what it takes Smokey Mountain Rain I keep on calling I keep on calling her name Smokey Mountain Rain I keep on searching I can't go on hurting this way Smokey Mountain Rain I keep on calling I keep on calling her name Oh, she was hotter than a two-dollar pistol She was the fastest thing around Watch a broken bridge dance To the beat of a neon moon With my fireflies and light eyes And it's all the best that I know No, she's hurting more Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene I'm begging of you please don't take my man Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene Please don't take him just because you can Your beauty is beyond compare With flaming locks of auburn hair With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green Your smile is like a breath of spring Your voice is soft like summer rain And I cannot compete with you, Jolene He talks about you in his sleep And there's nothing I can do to keep from crying When he calls your name, Jolene And I can easily understand How you could easily take my man But you don't know what he means to me, Jolene Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene I'm begging of you please don't take my man Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene Please don't take him just because you can You could have your choice of men That I could never love again He's the only one for me, Jolene I had to have this talk with you My happiness depends on you And whatever you decide to do, Jolene Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene I'm begging of you please don't take my man Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene Please don't take him even though you can Jolene, Jolene I'm looking for something in red Something that's shocking to turn someone's head Strap it on and let it go I'm begging of you please don't take my man That's a sand sequined and cut down stare Stockings and garters and lace underwear A guaranteed number and not a mandate I'm looking for something in red I'm looking for something in green Something to outdo the next high school queen Jealousy comes in the color of jade You add some pumps and the curtain is shaved And the perfume that whispers, please come back to me I'm looking for something in green I'm looking for something in green I'm looking for something in white Something that shimmers in soft candlelight Everyone calls us the monster pair Should I wear a veil over those in my hair When the train must be long and your waist must be tight I'm looking for something in white I'm looking for something in green I'm looking for something in blue Something real tiny to bathe in He has his father's nose and his chin We once were hard lovers, now we're more like friends Don't tell me that's just what old manly folk do I'm looking for something in blue I'm looking for something in red Like the one that I wore when I first heard it again Strap it down deep and cut down to there Justify the larger than I wore last year The guaranteed number, not the mandate I'm looking for something, I gotta have something I'm looking for something in red I'm looking for something in blue The only thing I remember knowing Was a lonesome whistle blowing And a youngin's dream of growing up to ride On a freight train leaving town Not knowing where I'm bound And no one to change my mind, but Mama tried One and only rebel child From a family meek and mild My Mama seemed to know what lay in store While my son did learning Of course the bad I kept on turning Till Mama couldn't hold me anymore I turned twenty-one in prison Doing life without parole No one could steer me right, but Mama tried Mama tried, Mama tried to raise me better But her fleeing I denied That leaves only me to blame, cause Mama tried Mama tried, Mama tried to raise me better Mama tried, Mama tried to raise me better Mama tried, Mama tried to raise me better So left my Mama heavy low She tried so very hard to fill his shoes Working hours without rest Wanted me to have the best She tried to raise me right, but I refused And I turned twenty-one in prison Doing life without parole No one could steer me right, but Mama tried Mama tried, Mama tried to raise me better But her fleeing I denied That leaves only me to blame, cause Mama tried Mama tried, Mama tried to raise me better But her fleeing I denied And the second hardest thing I'll ever do Leaving here without you And the second hardest thing I'll ever do Is telling her about you She's been good to me when things were going well How can I tell her now that good ain't good enough? Oh, the hardest thing I'll ever have to do Is holding her and loving you If she'd give me one good reason I'd be gone But she ain't done one thing wrong So don't expect me just to walk out of the door I still love her, but I love you more She's been good to me when things weren't going right She made my days long, for you made my nights The hardest thing I'll ever have to do Is holding her and loving you Yeah, the hardest thing I'll ever have to do Is holding her and loving you Yeah, the hardest thing I'll ever have to do Is holding her and loving you When you hear Dolly Parton Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene I got some oceanfront property in Arizona They're gonna holler at the moon, shoot out the light It's a small town Saturday night It's a small town Saturday night I brought flowers to your door last night I done you wrong and I wanna make it right You say I'm not welcome here I know it ought to be perfect next year But I can't help but wonder what it might be like If I had two dozen roses and the moment's on the one If I really could've hung the moon, would it change your mind? If I could cry a little harder And get a little less sleep at night If I had two dozen roses, would it change your mind? Oh, I must've been a fool back then To do something that you can't have again I've done all that I know to do And second guessed my every move But I can't help but wonder how it might have been If I had two dozen roses and the moment's on the one If I really could've hung the moon, would it change your mind? If I could cry a little harder And get a little less sleep at night If I had two dozen roses, would it change your mind? If I could cry a little harder And get a little less sleep at night If I had two dozen roses, would it change your mind? Baby, would it change your mind? Oh, baby, could you change your mind? Oh, baby, would you change your mind? Under an old brass paperweight Is my list of things to do today Go to the bank and the hardware store Put a new lock on the cellar door I cross them off as I get on done But when the sun is set There's still more than a few things left I haven't got to get Go for a walk, say a little prayer Take a deep breath of mountain air Put on my gloves and play some catch And I bet I'll make time for that Wave to shore, cast a line Look up to an old lost friend of mine Sit on the porch and give my girl a kiss Start living, that's the next thing on my list Wouldn't change a course of fate If cutting grass just had to wait Cause I've got more important things Like pushing my kid on a backyard swing I won't break my back for a million bucks I can't take to my grave So I put off for tomorrow What I could get done today Go for a walk, say a little prayer Take a deep breath of mountain air Put on my gloves and play some catch It's time that I make time for that Wave to shore, cast a line Look up to an old lost friend of mine Sit on the porch and give my girl a kiss Start living, that's the next thing on my list Raise a little hell, laugh till it hurts Put an extra five in the plate at church Call up my folks, just a chance It's time that I make time for that Stay up late and oversleep Show her what she means to me Catch up on all the things I've always missed Start living, that's the next thing on my list Under an old brass paper weight My list of things to do today Under an old brass paper weight My list of things to do today You're listening to a special Saturday edition of the Tim Kelly Show live from the Pierce Arrow Theater in Branson, Missouri on KICR Indie Country Radio, New Country's Best There's an Elvis movie on the marquee sign We've all seen it at least three times Everybody's broke and Bobby's got a buck Put a dollar's worth of gas in his pickup truck We're going 90 miles an hour down a dead end road What's the hurry son, where you gonna go? We're gonna holler at the moon, shoot out the light It's a small town Saturday night Lucy's got lipstick on a little too bright Bobby's getting drunk and looking for a fight Liquor on his breath, trouble on his mind Lucy's just a kid along for the ride Got a six pack of beer and a bottle of wine Gotta be bad just to have a good time They're gonna holler at the moon, shoot out the light It's a small town Saturday night Bobby's told Lucy the world ain't round Drops off sharp at the edge of town Lucy you know the world must be flat Cause when people leave town they never come back They go 90 miles an hour to the city limit sign Put the pedal to the metal before they change their mind They're gonna holler at the moon, shoot out the light It's a small town Saturday night His name is Hal Ketchum, the late great Hal Ketchum with Small Town Saturday Night My name is Tim Kelly, we're in the small town of Branson, Missouri But we're getting ready to have a big time on this Saturday night Radio on this classic country special I'd gladly walk across the desert with no shoes upon my feet To share with you the last pie of bread I had to eat I would swim out to save you in your sea of broken dreams With all your hopeless thinking, let me show you what love means Love can build a bridge between your heart and mine Love can build a bridge, don't you think it's time Don't you think it's time Don't you think it's time Don't you think it's time I would whisper love so loudly every heart could understand That love and only love can join the tribe of man I would give my heart's desire so that you might see The first step is to realize that it all begins with you and me Love can build a bridge between your heart and mine Love can build a bridge, don't you think it's time Don't you think it's time Don't you think it's time When we stand together, it's our final hour We can do anything, anything, anything Love can build a bridge between your heart and mine Love can build a bridge, don't you think it's time Don't you think it's time Love can build a bridge between your heart and mine Once a country sounds like this I should have been a cowboy I should have learned to road or ride He'd say you've got to stand for something Or you'll fall for anything You've got to be your own man Not a puppet on a string Like two sparrows in a hurricane Trying to find their way You're listening to the best in classic country music on KICR Indie Country Radio Love says it will Love says it will Well I sit here all alone No one's gonna do me wrong tonight It seems I've been through it all And there's no one I can call to get it right And everywhere I go Everyone seems so settled in And sure of where they're going I don't know what I need I don't know what I need Since I've been freed I'm a horse without a rider And there's no one left to take the lead And I've been loving blind Loving every heart I could call mine And I've been loving blind So sure there was something I could find But I just couldn't see There was nothing there for me Now there's a smile on my face Though there's no trace of the pain I know I've been through it all And I know those tears won't fall again But all the times I thought Something hard I'd caught I was fool for when I regret I was so naive Oh and I believe them when they tell me That's as good as love can get And I've been loving blind Loving every heart I could call mine And I've been loving blind So sure there was something I could find But I just couldn't see There was nothing there for me And I've been loving blind Loving every heart I could call mine And I've been loving blind So sure there was something I could find But I just couldn't see There was nothing there for me And I've been loving blind Loving every heart I could call mine And I've been loving blind Loving every heart I could call mine I'll leave you with Black Hawk and Goodbye Says It All Goodbye everybody and have a great weekend Just another back door sneaking in where you've been midnight Wild as a Mack truck, lots of luck thinking up an alibi But every light in the house is on And everything is gone There'll be no chance at redemption No further attention Just a piece wrecked by a lipstick on the wall Goodbye says it all No long explanation No reconciliation No left pocket over knock where I can talk Goodbye says it all Goodbye Could have phoned a knock-down screaming shy parrot out tirade She could have made it real fast bringing up all the hell that I raised But no more wasted words on me No she kept short and sweet There'll be no chance at redemption No further attention Just a piece wrecked by a lipstick on the wall Goodbye says it all No long explanation No reconciliation No left pocket over knock where I can talk Goodbye says it all Goodbye No more wasted words on me No she kept short and sweet There'll be no chance at redemption No further attention Just a piece wrecked by a lipstick on the wall Goodbye says it all Just a piece wrecked by a lipstick on the wall Goodbye says it all No long explanation No reconciliation No left pocket over knock where I can talk Goodbye says it all Goodbye Goodbye Goodbye says it all
