The Dunaways sing a song about the faith of Paul and Silas in jail, where they sing praises to God and convert others to Christianity. They also mention the story of the widow who gave her last meal to Elijah. The song encourages having faith in God and trusting Him in all things. The Dunaways sing a song entitled, Faces Like That. In it, they sing about the faith of Paul and Silas as they sit in jail. As they sing praises to God, God shakes the ground while all in jail become followers of Christ. They sing about the widow who gave her last meal to the prophet Elijah. Oh, to have that kind of faith, that if God asked you to give your last meal to someone, your last dollar, would you give it, believing He knows what is best? In Matthew 6, 31, Jesus says, Therefore do not worry, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or what shall we wear? For after all these things the Gentiles seek.
For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things, sufficient for the day in its own trouble. In this part of His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus is not telling us we should give away everything and quit our jobs. But as the birds do what He created them to do, and the lilies grow in the place it is planted, we should grow where we are planted, and be active in living for Him, trusting Him in all things, that we might bring glory to Him.
