The programming at Placentia Library is diverse and inclusive, offering a wide range of activities and events. They not only focus on building skills, but also on fostering a sense of community. They organize fundraisers, toy drives, and trendy events like a Taylor Swift party. One unique activity is the monthly reading with therapy dogs, which helps bring the community together. They have book clubs and painting sessions for different age groups, and they also celebrate different cultures, such as the Día de los Muertos lottery and community altar. The library strives to accommodate different ages and languages with bilingual story times. Overall, they have an impressive range of offerings that cater to the needs of the community. The programming offered at Placentia Library is great in that they cover so many different things that help build many different skills as well as community. I love that they have a reading with the dogs every month that they bring in therapy dogs which is a great community builder. They have book clubs for many different ages. They do painting for many different ages. They also bring in different cultures like they did with a Día de los Muertos lottery but as well as having a community altar that was displayed at the library. The things that they have available are just great that they try to incorporate a lot of different ages and different languages with their bilingual story times and just have a great offering every month. It's huge and full of all sorts of things for everybody and I'm just very impressed with how much they have incorporated into all of their programs to try and meet all of the community needs.
