Futurist Thomas Fry explains that as a society, we tend to focus on the past because it is familiar to us. However, since we live in the future, he aims to change people's perspective on the future to influence their decision-making. If interested, visit futuristspeaker.com to learn more about working with him. Hi, I'm futurist Thomas Fry. We're a very backward looking society. In many ways, it's just human nature because we've all personally experienced the past. As we look around us, we see evidence of the past all around us. In fact, all information we encounter is basically history. The past is very knowable, yet we'll be spending the rest of our lives in the future. So it's almost as if we're walking backwards into the future. My job as a futurist is to help turn people around to give them some idea of what the future holds. And I do this by changing people's vision of the future. If I change someone's vision of the future, it changes the way they make decisions today. My goal, whenever I speak to an audience, is to change their vision of the future. And as a result, they will leave the room making different decisions. If you'd like to find out more about how I can work with your group, your team, your association, or your company, please go to futuristspeaker.com and let's set up a time to talk. Thank you.
